one week with the spacemate rd1 pro and its magnetic charging panel.

i have been using the baseus spacemate rd1 pro 15 in 1 for a week now as a freelance video editor. my desk used to be a mess of separate chargers for my laptop and phones. the best upgrade for my workflow is the adjustable qi2.2 magnetic charging panel. being able to tilt it from 0 to 80 degrees means i can keep an eye on client messages on my phone without picking it up while cutting video on my main monitors. plus, the smart dynamic power allocation actively routes the 160w output perfectly so my laptop never loses battery during heavy 4k exports. sharing my setup experience for anyone tired of flat charging pads.

New to espresso with the 5418 Pro, finally got a drinkable shot

Trying to learn the espresso game on my casabrews 5418 pro without going broke, so I’ve just been using the cheapest grocery store beans I could find. After a few sour, undrinkable shots this morning, I finally got a win.Ground them super fine, and even though there wasn’t much crema, adding some warm whole milk turned it into a super cozy latte. Tasted way better than my usual instant coffee packets!

Anyone else turn into a potato after bedtime?

My daughter is 2 now, and honestly things are easier than they were during the newborn stage. There was a period where every night felt like clocking in for another shift. Bottles, diapers, cleaning up random kid messes, bedtime stuff, laundry, dishes... It just never seemed to stop. I never really looked at it as helping my wife though. It always felt like part of my job too. We both love her, so it always felt like something we were both supposed to be doing.

Everytime I keep telling myself tonight I'll read, get back into my hobby, work out, whatever. Then she finally goes to sleep and I spend an hour scrolling on my phone doing absolutely nothing. I used to read a ton of mystery books. I could finish a book in a few days. Now I'll get through a couple pages and realize I've been reading the same paragraph.

Don't get me wrong, I love her forever. And it is getting easier. She's doing more on her own now, and it finally feels like I'm getting a little bit of my free time back. Is it just me? What are you guys doing to keep your energy up?

What are the best earbuds for testing aptX Lossless under $150?

Been looking into aptX Lossless lately and realized there really are not that many earbuds under $150 that support it. aptX Lossless is able to help with details like instrument separation or vocal texture. I’m curious how much of a difference people actually hear with it.

I listen to jazz, older rock, and acoustic stuff, and I notice vocal texture or cymbals sounding kind of smeared on cheaper buds. Mostly just looking for earbuds that can show what aptX Lossless can really do in this price range.

Hardware buttons for privacy are actually underrated when working in an open office.

I rent a desk at a co working space and people are constantly walking behind me while I am looking at sensitive client data. I picked up the baseus spacemate 11in1 a while ago. It has a physical button right on top that truns off the external screens instantly. It hides my work without closing any of my active software. It is super useful for quick privacy when someone walks by. what do you guys use to hide your screens quickly?

Switched to a vertical dock so my dual monitors stop lagging.

I keep multiple dashboards open for work and my previous hub just could not handle running two screens without lagging. I picked up the Baseus Spacemate 11 in 1 to fix my WFH setup. It handles both my 4K monitors fine. The vertical stand is nice because it sits out of the way in the corner instead of taking up the middle of my desk.
