I help run this mostly combat-based RP (there are non-combat RP’s of course), and it offically started like- 30 minutes ago.

Now, before I even tell you what it's about, your only requirements are: Be alive.
No RP experience needed; hell, you don't even have to have an OC ready^((please do tho, I only have so many OC's to lend out.))

Now Jujutsu Kaisen Global Surge is an AU set in 2040, diverging after the Shinjuku showdown where Tengen's barriers were destroyed, allowing cursed energy to flow into the entire world.
^((I wouldn't think about the implications too much; the only thing that changed is that every place can have sorcerers and spirits more frequently, and not just Japan.))

All the original cast of characters are nowhere to be seen- dead? alive? We don't know. The Vatican has genuine power again for once, big corporations are spearheading their own treacherous plans, and the Zen'in clan has even become a political action and global outreach group.

I'd recommend for all your american OC's to join the Kong family, known for its fencers and sword fighters, and learnable techniques. And no blood relation is required. Of course, not all of them have to join. I just want more people in my clan...

Overview

Natu Cati is what some call a cursed sorcerer. He was born a normal human except for the curse that was placed upon him at birth: Cursed Emotions. Allowing for any negative emotions he causes in masses to make him more powerful in all aspects. And thanks to this, he ended up becoming a curse user after figuring out his abilities.

Background

[NOTE: all of this information was found in journals found in his own hideouts]
Natu was born on November 4th, 2022, at 4:15 AM, with the curse, Cursed Emotions, unknown to anyone. His early years were nothing out of the ordinary, learning to walk and talk, developing as any normal kid would, a little tall if anything.

Everything from 6-13 is left unknown. But based on the later journals, it's assumed that he discovered his curse by bullying others, and then becoming a grade 4, where he began to experiment with his technique. Also, somewhere during this time, his parents had disappeared; while there's no proof, it's assumed they were murdered by Natu during his experiments.

At 14, he had fully discovered his curse and cursed technique. However, due to his age, he didn’t understand the issues that would later arise from instinctively removing the energy from cursed energy.

Through the following years, he began mastering parts of his cursed technique, and at 17, he decided to enroll in an American Jujutsu School with one goal in mind… He chose the New Mexico School of Sorcerers. During this time, he needed a disguise and thought the best thing to synergize with his technique would be a clown costume. And so he has stuck with the same appearance ever since.

During his time here, he wouldn’t use his technique openly, as he was graded as a grade 4. All the students at the school knew something was,,, strange about him. Though no one ever said anything about it, most avoided him. That is, except for his overconfident teacher, a grade 1 sorcerer who was not named in the journals. He always took a liking to him, enjoying his presence and even comforting him. Though “This was just simply perfect for my plan.” Within just 2 months, from just the random touches they had- accidental bumps, hugs, any physical contact- he was imbuing it with the emotion of fear. It began as just extra awareness and skepticism, but before long, the teacher only felt safe around Natu, fearing anything else. And one day, while he was hiding in a corner from,,, anything, only accompanied by Natu, he was tortured and murdered by Natu.

This sent a wave of fear throughout the American sorcery groups, with 1 core message: Don’t trust the Jester.

“This is exactly what I wanted- no… Needed.” It’s written that his power grew to what it was today. And even still slowly grows, as the fear- or cautionary tale of him is still taught today. Not carrying the same impacts and fear as it did when it happened, but he is at the very least feared by nearly all Americans in 1 way or another.

Overall abilities

Natu is a force. Possessing strength above his grade when strengthened by his technique, though his body itself doesn’t reflect it, visually or durably. He is no more durable than a human without reinforcement. And even with that, it is limited, as his technique is difficult to use along with cursed energy reinforcement for durability.

And so because of this, he often does his best to dodge attacks while still hitting like a car (almost literally).

Innate technique, Energy stripping

Energy Stripping allows the user to strip the energy from cursed energy, turning it into the raw negative emotions for Natu to use. Any cursed energy he uses can be turned into negative emotions, such as anger, Sadness, and Fear, as well as any related emotions. This causes the negative emotions he uses to appear as blood-crimson strings/wires, unlike the common fiery aura of most cursed energy. Coming in contact with any construct or use of the technique is capable of causing the emotion used.

This technique heavily interfered with Natu’s learning of Jujutsu, as it became natural to him to remove the energy from cursed energy and just use the emotions for his technique, making it nearly impossible with his current skill to use both normal cursed energy and his innate technique at the same time. He currently only knows the fundamental emotions (Sadness, anger, fear).

This technique produces a near 1:1 ratio of cursed energy to “stripped cursed energy”

Applications:

Due to the removal of the energy in cursed energy, the output becomes much easier and more efficient to expel, output, and even form constructions.

When imbued into physical aspects, it retains the power increase of normal cursed energy, but doesn’t include the durability aspects of it. It’s also stated that the stripped energy “feels similar to barbed wire”.

Due to this, blasts of cursed energy, aside from looking like crimson wire, are weaker against properly reinforced targets, but are sharp-feeling and powerful. And he can make constructions of these “wires” easily.

With enough exposure or direct contact, the user can influence the exact emotions. Typically, the emotion is general, being scared of the user, or just anything. But it can change to be afraid of water, or a cursed tool, or another person, or breathing, theoretically. Although this depends on the actual request, as most aren’t scared of breathing, it’s possible theoretically.

Technique extension, Fear monger

Fear monger creates a scythe using the stripped cursed energy, imbued with fear. Capable of slicing through sheet metal with proper cuts (can be strengthened using more stripped energy the user can’t currently do).

Just from its presence, it contains enough emotions to make the confident at the very least, weary of it, and it’s weirder, and the weaker-willed cower in fear. Its main ability is that anything that is cut by it, organic or not, is imbued with the stripped cursed energy. Making wounds even more painful, and turning terrain into a hazard.

This takes little cursed energy to manifest, but the user could only wield it for a little over an hour before running out of cursed energy.

[Locked] Technique extension, Enrager & Horror

Enrager is another construct, or rather constructs. It creates 2 knives, one imbued with fear, the other with anger. The knives are separate, but which emotion they use can change instantly with a 3-second cooldown.

Mode 1 allows the user to inflict a rage that produces adrenaline within the body when anything capable of that emotion is cut by it. This lasts for 30 seconds.

The other mode is imbued with terror. Making anything that is cut by it feel intense fear, crippling fear, even for 2 seconds [1 turn]. There's nothing they’re actually fearful of; they simply just feel fear. 

[Locked] CTR

Energy Stripping’s reversal allows the user to create and manipulate positive emotions, such as happiness, trust, friendship, and other positive emotions. This lets any technique extensions also have the positive emotions if using CTR.

[Locked] Domain expansion, Circus

Circus is a lethal domain expansion, having the innate technique Energy Stripping imbued within. It’s capable of causing fear beyond anything anyone has ever felt. In most cases, it would completely traumatize and immobilize anything within that is even biologically capable of feeling fear. To expand the domain, the user must create a dense ball of Stripped energy and throw it at the ground; this will start to quickly expand his soul, forming a domain.

The domain appears as the interior of a classic circus tent. The people or spirits inside are in the center ring. The tent's colors are an unusual purple and black, and the entire area is extremely dark with only dim purple lights.

(Jujutsu Sorcerer | Special grade 1)

- Innate Technique, Full Management

Full Management allows the user to manipulate all cursed energy, including outputs from other techniques. This is very inefficient on its own and works best when turned into different techniques.

- Cursed Technique, +PARRY!:

• +PARRY! Allows the user to block any Non-cursed energy attack if timed correctly. +PARRY! Creates a thin barrier of cursed energy surrounding the user for 0.2 seconds. If anything moves towards the user and touches the layer of cursed energy, the force that would have hit will return to the thing that broke the layer. This will also grant the user a temporary bonus to their physical strength by around 1.15x for around 2 seconds, as they use the displaced force to increase their own. +PARRY can only be used once every 30 seconds unless +PARRY! was successful, in which case can be used again immediately. +Parry will only work on things with: effectively no cursed energy or poorly imbued cursed energy.

 

- Cursed Technique, +COUNTER!:

• +COUNTER! allows the user to direct cursed energy to use as their own to negate attacks. +COUNTER! also creates a thin barrier of cursed energy surrounding the user for 0.2 seconds. However this barrier absorbs the incoming CE and grants it to the user temporarily, for a maximum of a 1.35x increase, and a low of a 1.05x increase that lasts up to 15 seconds (or until it is used). This can be used once every 45 seconds, however if successful can be used again immediately. +COUNTER! Only works against: Attacks with cursed energy, Cursed Techniques, or cursed tools. If the bonus from +COUNTER! was not used, and the user was able to gain 5 stacks of it, they guaranteed a +CRIT! to land.

- Cursed Technique, +CIRT!:

• +CRIT! allows the user to consolidate large amounts of cursed energy into a single point on the target. While +CRIT! is active, there is a 1/256 chance for an attack that hits that point to trigger +CRIT. When +CRIT! Lands, due to the massive consolidation of cursed energy, it’s akin to splitting an atom of cursed energy. It releases so much cursed energy it will end up creating a burst of RCT for the user, as well as creating an extremely strong explosion of cursed energy, capable of completely destroying large buildings.

- Maximum Technique, +COMBO!:

• +COMBO! Works by taking cursed energy from the target (notably, very little) and using it to fuel the bonuses of this technique. The Rules of +COMBO! are as follows: Every attack or block (counter or parry) that is landed will add 1 to the combo, if an attack is fully received or no successful block/attack is made within 8 seconds of the last, the combo will end. For every number added to +COMBO!, the user's Cursed energy and physical strength will increase by 0.02x for every number. At combo 10 if +CRIT! If landed, the next attack will have a 50% chance to also be another +CRIT!. At combo 20 Successfull blocks will grant 2 combo. At combo 30 +CRIT chance is reduced to 1/64. At combo 40 the user can use +COMBO! immediately after this +COMBO! Ends. At combo 50+ Every hit creates a little bit of RCT, healing the user and potentially harming the target if they are a curse.

Questions i thought of:
>!There's no limit on +PARRY!/+COUNTER!, so you can parry a nuke or hollow purple (for hollow purple they’d have to use both.)!<
>!And also when I say effectively no cursed energy, that would include humans or like haruta levels of cursed energy. And poorly imbued meaning like the rocks todo uses, not cursed tools, or a newer Sorcerer who doesn’t know how to enhance their body with CE properly. !<

Character: Mousiki Jackson

(Jujutsu Sorcerer | Unofficial Grade 1)

- Innate Technique: Boombox:

The boombox Technique is the inherited technique of the Jackson family. The Boombox Technique lets the user turn their cursed energy into sound waves with ease. Meaning with little cursed energy they are able to produce music. So little cursed energy, a human could use all of their cursed energy to use this for around 4:53 seconds, at a sound level of around 65dB. A grade 3 could use it indefinitely, and a grade 2 is essentially the max energy needed to reach the full potential of the innate. (I mean a grade 1 or special could do more but like… doesn’t really change too much.)

- Cursed Technique, Groove:

• Groove allows the user to Move in time with the wave of cursed energy, or the “beat” of the song. When the user is "grooving”, And and all actions that are on “beat” will be amplified by 35%. However any action that is off “beat” will be reduced by 70%. This applies to nearly everything. Movement, force, and cursed energy/technique output. This technique only applies to the user, and not others.

- Technique Extension, Party:

• The Party Technique allows the user to create a temporary binding vow, which places the effect of the Groove technique onto everyone except him within earshot. This gives him more physical abilities, cursed energy, and energy efficiency. Opponents are capable of reinforcing their ears with cursed energy to not be affected by the technique, however the user will still gain the bonus from the binding vow whether or not others are affected by the Party Technique. No other variants or uses of Groove can be used while the Party Technique is active.

- Maximum Technique, DJ!:

• DJ! Is the maximum of Groove. It first doubles the bonus and halves the penalty, meaning typically, anything done on “beat” will be increased by 70%, and anything off beat is reduced by 35%. This also allows the user to share the Technique selected targets. And it creates another bonus with the song choice. If an action is done that lines up with the song's lyrics/sounds, the increase will multiply by 1.5.  {For example, if Jackson is playing Let the World Burn by Chirs Grey. If a technique involves fire and is onbeat, the techniques output/damage will be increased by 105% instead of 70%}

Binding Vow(s)

- Artist 

• Given at birth, this binding vow directly mixes with the Groove Technique, and its related Techniques. It makes it so a ‘song’ is not just anything. A song must be a proper piece of music that is heard by Jackson before it can be used in any of his Techniques. This binding vow has affected every user of the Boombox Technique since its creation.

- Can’t stop the Groove.

• This is a temporary binding vow Jackson can make at will. In exchange for harming the energy efficiency of his technique, he is able to change the numbers of the increase or reduction of the Grove Technique and its extensions. From the normal 35%/70% to 5%/40% or 65%/100%. However the reduction is unable to go below 100%, and the increase can not go to a negative number. {as below 100% means it would create a negative action. And you can't turn the increase into a reduction.} He’s able to change each number by 10% and must be in tandem, so if one goes down 10%, the other will. {Note the limit is 30% change}

Anyways I want to see some like creative solutions to my backrooms OC, cus I haven't thought of anything to make another OC out of so im just doing this.... Anyways here's my (shortend+nerfed) Backrooms OC: (also sorry is probably got a ton of spelling errors)

Character: The Walker [aka Matthew Smith] Vengful cursed spririt

- Soul Shape
Since he died in the backrooms, his soul has completly merged with it, so now the area where a person/curses soul would be, is now a doorway to the backrooms

- Innate Technique: No Clip
Allows the user to shift atoms to an imesumably small offset, allowing the user to make something completly intangable. This is technique is harder to do on targets with cursed energy imbued (just making it cost more) and can be further resisted by cursed energy renforcment.
[for scaling thingys and what not, things such as granite blast, jacobs ladder, or sky manipulation wouldn't have effect on a "no clipped" target, but things such as boogie woogie, Love Rendezvous (kirara), or the sure hit *effect* from a domain would work. For the sure hit, its like how dagon's sure hit would work against gojo,,, just wouldn't do anything to him.]

- Cursed Technique: Anomaly
Allows the Matthew to use the doorway into the backroom, to create shikigami of the entities there.
These shikigami are:

The lifeform - One of the most powerful shikigami, with strength/energy of a high semi-first grade, and also possess a (although weaker) version of No Clip, this version is more inefficient and cursed energy renforcment completly negates it.

Deathmoths - A swarm shikigami of deadly moths, with razor sharp legs, wiskers, and mouthparts. [about 25 can be summoned at once]

Partygoers - The partygoers are around grade 2 in strength and cursed energy. They posses a virus that will eveutaly kill you [is lowkey very curable, chill]. They are able to use cursed energy to speed up its spread, with both of them giving direct energy to the target, it will take around 6 minutes of prologned cursed energy before the virus becomes uncurable. [transfering the virus is on contact, 2 can be summoned at once]

Smilers - Smilers are around a high grade 2 in strength, and posses no energy. They don't have real bodies so they can take up any form. They are immune to any physical attacks. However they are very sensivtive to light, and will comepletly 'melt' when exposed to fire.

Domain - His domain forces the target into his Innate domain, where the entites (not as shikigami) roam free. In this area and are stronger than as a shikigami, if a enitity dies, its dead forever. Furthermore the Technique No Clip becomes roughly 2 times as efficient (cursed energy wise).

Binding Vow: Ground rules - Basicly you can't just get set through the floor and into the earths core, so you wont acidently no-clip through the ground, you would have to try. For this the No Clip Technique must be used activly, draining cursed energy while being used (instead of being an on/off switch)

Honestly you can just ingore the shikigami if you like, I just wounder if anyone has like a cool counter/solution to the No Clip Technique... ima just write a few more things about it tho

Gravity still works. Cursed speach doesn't really work. Anything that is no clipped will act as normal to other nocliped things. Straw doll would "work", but nothing would probably end up happening. Idle Transfiguration does just absolutly nothing, no clipped or not.
Limitless+extensions works (because, at least in my head, the inifity like mesurements or whatever would still intract with the ofset atoms because theres an infintly tight bond or somethin idk).
He is still able to hear because of the ground rules binding vow, if he's not on the ground then he can't hear (closest idea of how this works is like Toph 'sees', that how he 'hears').

Character: The Walker [aka Matthew Smith]
(Vengeful Cursed Spirit | Registered Special Grade)

Lore: Matthew Smith was an awakened sorcerer with the technique No Clip, this allowed him to make things completely intangible. However one day when he was 11 years old, he clipped his entire body through a wall outside of [Redacted]. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue, as he’s done this countless times, however in this instance, he phased into a different world. He thought that It was simply the weird interior of the building, but as he wandered, he realized the place that he was in was *far* too big for the relatively small building he thought he entered into. After a year, many phone calls to major governments, and lots of funding, they were able to discover an entirely different dimension. They explored this alternate world, however Matthew, as a Grade 1 sorcerer who had a natural advantage in this place, was rarely accompanied as he was known to explore more than anyone. However one day, around 11 years after this area was discovered, Matthew Smith had been gone for 16 days, longer than he had ever been gone before. A set of search teams were sent in, however after entering a common level he went to, Level 37 the search team was reportedly met with a cursed spirit. 3 out of the 5 were confirmed dead, and the last wasn’t seen or recorded to be killed, but after 14 days he never exited, and was presumed dead. The remaining survivor reported that this cursed spirit had the exact same cursed technique as Matthew Smith. After another month of research he was spotted again on the main world, causing damage to the original facility where he first discovered the world. 3 First grade sorcerers were dispatched, 2 died, the other one was badly injured, and shortly after retired. It was reported no damage was done to the spirit. Current location unknown.

- Soul Shape (lore part 2): After his death in the other world, his body was never found. While his cursed body was able to exit, his soul was not able to leave with the new body. After time, his soul became one with the area he died in. His soul is now simply a doorway to the place he died in {the backrooms}. And this can be used to his benefit as his soul becomes a free doorway to that world.

- Innate Technique: No Clip
The Innate technique No Clip allows the user to perfectly shift atoms to an immeasurably small offset to the normal. This ends up placing whatever the technique was used on, effectively in a second world. Perfectly "clipping" through anything unaffected by the technique, becoming completely intangible to nearly everything. This technique has its limitations, it is much more difficult to use on a target with cursed energy (such as people), and the technique can be resisted further by cursed energy reinforcement. This technique also takes cursed energy to maintain as the atoms wish to go back into the correct alignment. {This would also make him immune to the effects of cursed techniques/energy}

- Maximum cursed technique: True Clip
The technique, True Clip, uses the No Clip technique to its fullest extent, and begins to clip the target's atoms not just into intangibility, but into the other world. Often this technique doesn’t clip the full target, only portions, leaving blank spaces and holes within the target's atomic structure. Which if done enough onto a human, could cause permanent damage and possibly to the point of where reversed curse technique could not fix. {its lowkey like naoya’s domain, might change it later.}

- Cursed Technique: Anomaly
The Cursed technique Anomaly, allows The Walker to use his No Clip to let parts of his soul manifest into this world as shikigami. The only known shikigami he has used are: Smiler(s), Deathmoth(s), Partygoers, and The Lifeform. Though it is likely he possesses more. {I couldn’t find more to add}

• Shikigami: Partygoers Partygoers are yellow humanoid creatures with blood on their mouths, hands, and legs. These shikigami, while also being strong, extremely deadly, and having a hatred towards other species, they also carry the Sanguine Festivus Virus, which can be transferred via direct contact, or contact with surfaces they had contact with. With this they are able to speed up its stages with cursed energy. It would take roughly 15 minutes of prolonged cursed energy use to fully have the virus infected and be at its final stage. This can be shortened by having multiple. This would divide the time by how many there are.
• Shikigami: Smilers Smilers are highly intelligent, highly deadly, and highly aggressive lifeforms. They are only ever seen in dark areas, appear to be a pair of pure white eyes, along with a gigantic mouth with bared teeth. Their body is able to shapeshift into a form to fit its need (such as a kind of “birds” to fly, or “spiders” to climb walls). They are also known to be able to phase through physical matter and are completely immune to any form of physical damage. Their only known weaknesses are; light, which severely irritates them, however will not completely stop them, especially if they have a higher pain tolerance. And fire, which will begin to dissolve their “bodies” into nothing. {none of this is powerscaled to match, its just accurate dont bully meeee}
• Shikigami: Deathmoths Deathmoths are gigantic moths with an average wingspan of 1.5 meters {basically 5 feet}. These creatures use their spiky legs, needle sharp whiskers, and sharp mouthpart to hunt prey, punchturing skin effortlessly. The Deathmoths are almost never alone, often living, and being used in swarms.
• Shikigami: The Lifeform The Lifeform is a generally powerful entity. Being known for its, intelligence and overall Physical prowess, akin to a grade 1 sorcerer It also possesses a more primitive version of No Clip, which along with having a short duration of 10 seconds, and being much less efficient, this version can not be used on anything with cursed energy reinforcement.

Domain:
Rather than a traditional domain of expanding the soul, The Walker will No Clip the target within his soul, as an Innate Domain by extending the area his soul inhabits and then nocliping the target into a surface with that piece of his soul. The domain reportedly looks as if you’ve been there before. The walls are a sickly yellow wallpaper, a continuous deafening hum-buzz from inconsistently placed fluorescent ceiling lights. Within this domain, or rather dimension, his “shikigami” roam free, requiring no extra cursed energy to bring them to the normal world, and his technique becomes more akin to cursed spirit manipulation. Due to them not being in a shikigami like state, they possess not only their full original power. However if they were to be injured, assuming they did not retreat and were to be killed, that entity would permanently die. Furthermore, The No Clip technique and its accessories becomes roughly 4 times more efficient in the Innate Domain.

• Binding Vow: Ground rules {hehe, get it, cus its like the ground}
• Ground rules makes it difficult for people affected by No Clip to phase through Floors. While not impossible, it becomes difficult. This also applies to objects, however objects can phase through the floor, they will not phase through a “full floor” without an active push by something that can interact with it. A full floor is a floor with roughly 4.5 feet of thickness (IE the floor of your basement, the earth, etc.). In exchange (Due to the original circumstances of this binding vow being positive for Matthew), the No Clip technique must be used actively and will drain cursed energy instead of being a one time on and off.

(also another thing was that, if this wasn't made, anything that would be effected by No Clip would just fall into the earth, including people. So why would he make this? Because he was like 6 years old and wasn't thinking about having an instant kill technique, and more of having a way to just go through stuff.)
