I'm reposting this one, as several people told me they believed it was just an actual tree model from the region.

Is Chris Metzen's Joke prophecy about the Gundrak Snake about to come true?

15 years ago, Chris Metzen was questioned about the nature of Gundrak snake at Blizzcon, he jokingly replied with a fake prophecy saying it is the "First sign of the return of the titans, and Medivh will be leading them" before it got clarified the snake is just something the artist put there just because it looked cool.

We are reaching a point where we know the titans will return, and coincidentally we're about to get a troll patch heavily tied to snakes... So I'm wondering : Was this joke simply random thoughts of what sounded hype to him at the time, or were those bribs of a story he really wished to tell?

The structure of Midnight is quite simple, it mirrors Burning Crusade : We start in reverse from the Sunwell and attack the place of power from another desolate world that threatens it, a pattern that continues as we go back to Zul'Aman to stop Ula'Tek, which technically echoes both Zul'Aman and Serpentshrine Cavern.

After this raid, we'll probably face the threat of an unleashed Kith'ix hidden under the mountain, which would logically involve the ogres of the Twillight Blade as an echo Gruul's lair.

This leaves only one raid that isn't mirrored : Karazhan, a place which looks way harder to tie in this storyline, but suddenly feels relevant with this weird prophecy of Medivh bringing the titans back to Azeroth.

How could it possibly work and lead toward TLT? Would that just be a crucial titanic structure under Zul'Aman in the shape of giant tower leading the worldcore? Or would we reach Xal'atath and enter the dark heart again, only to explore a broken version of Dalaran's Violet spire which holds a precious artifact taken from Ulduar ?

Anyway I just wanted to share this as it felt a bit too coincidental, but maybe it just is!

[Theory from chapter 136] Loid will be headhunted by the SSS to become their own Franky

Within the latest chapters, Director Wyman Wilker has been displayed as an absolute goofball, terrorizing his own men afraid of overblown consequences. He's shown unqualified with comically mediocre disguises and unable to keep his tongue after drinking, which sounds particularly problematic considering his position.

In a world filled with individuals chosen for their surnatural abilities within their fields, this should be extremely concerning to us : If he's this egregiously bad, how much must he excel in surveillance and deduction to have reached his current position?!

Loid might have appeared on his radar the moment he chose not to taste his pizza, and because he has easy grudges, he always kept an eye on him after that. Soon after Yor gets injected with the tranquilizer, he is shown in a more serious posture with an ominious close-up, but he's quickly pulled away from the scene by the SSS, preventing any further progression.

Did he see anything? Endo actually gave us character positions before the shot and decided to place him at the ideal point to notice! As Loid moved to the right to make his shot, the dart was going right in front of him. Loid probably thought he wasn't looking in his direction, as he was fooled by the pizza glasses! Don't defy the pizza man.

So would Wilker suspect that Loid is a spy?... No.

As far as he would know, Loid failed a close shot with his gadget watch (something any competent spy could do) and his wife felt really good after the second shot. Considering Loid works at a hospital, Wilker has no reason to think this is an assassination device! Instead, he would think this is a medication gadget created for urgent situations :

Both Yor and Loid were pointed by other characters as looking unwell, thus Wilker would think Loid was extremely stressed by his wife condition and tried to find a way to administer her medication without putting her to shame in public. Also, as noted by Franky, the tranquilizer leaves no trace behind : they're unlikely to find anything suspicious in the apartment.

Walker could easily believe this was made to deal with hostile patients, being accustomed to violent methods himself. This would lead to an extremely funny situation where he would pay Loid a visit directly at the hospital, causing Loid and Fiona to stress for their life.

I can picture him showing genuine amazement at the quality of Franky's gadgets, proposing to pay for Loid to craft more for the SSS. (With no option to refuse of course)

So... Loid would be forced to hire Franky to make tools for his enemies, right after cutting his Wise funds.

[136] The SSS director will get interested in Loid... for him to craft spy tools

Within the latest chapters, Director Wyman Wilker has been displayed as an absolute goofball, terrorizing his own men who expect overblown consequences for failing to satisfy his capricious desires. He's shown unqualified with comically mediocre disguises, and is unable to stay in character after drinking a little, which is even worst considering his position.

In a world filled with individuals chosen for their surnatural abilities within their fields, this should be extremely concerning : While he's bad at most things, he could shine in surveillance and deduction. Loid might have appeared on his radar the moment he choose not to taste his pizza, and because of his grudge he always kept an eye on him after that.

As far as he's concerned, Loid failed a close shot with his gadget watch (something no competent spy would) and his wife felt really good after the second one. As noted by Franky, the tranquilizer leaves no trace, they can't actually check the dart for its subtance.

Considering Loid works at an hospital, Wilker has no reason to think this is an assassination device, instead he would think this is a medication gadget for urgent situations. Both Yor and Loid were pointed by other characters as looking unwell, thus Wilker would think Loid was extremely stressed by his wife condition and tried to find a way to administer her medication without putting her to shame in public.

Walker could easily believe this was made to deal with violent patients. This would lead to an extremely funny situation where Loid would stress for his life as the head of SSS pays him a personal visit, and be genuinly amazed by the quality of his amateur gadgets, proposing to pay him to craft more of them.

So Loid would be forced to hire Franky again, to make tools for his enemies.
