I'm kitbashing an Azrael proxy/conversion and I'm thinking of using a sternguard combi-plasma. Would it look too silly for him to be using it one handed like a pistol

My friends and I have bought a server and tried to play Valguero. They could join it perfectly fine, but I couldn't. I would get to the character creation, select a place to spawn and then just get a black screen. After a lot of troubleshooting, we figured out the only map I could join was The Island. I can't join any of the other DLC maps, but I have them downloaded and I can join them in single player. What could be the issue? Any help is appreciated.
