Hi! I’m Grey, just another Asheville (local) weirdo artist. Weird art thread anyone???
Could we start a thread to start all our weirdo Asheville art?! I would love to see your work! Let’s keep Asheville full of weird art folks.

Found this maybe ten years ago at a thrift store for a couple bucks. I know it’s not an original but can’t seem to find any info in this fake? I saw Nini teapots makes resin teapots but never found this one. Help! Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.
I’m obsessed with elephants. I collect them and hunt down the most interesting I can find and also collecting “the usuals” haha. I love a good vintage elephant.
She feeds like an absolute beast. But she’s also pretty chill and will either explore if your hand is near her, or retreat if she’s not interested (ALWAYS TEST WITH TONGS BEFORE HAND LOL). Reminds me of a cat honestly. Always worshiping the sun, climbing shit, wants you to love her even if she doesn’t always want to interact with you. When I’ve held (pls be so careful if you hold) she’s been very docile and slow moving. Not easy to scare. Not interested in any cricket, it’s just not enough for her to waste her time and energy haha. Grew super fast.
I DO have his results from embark but I have to see what people think! He weighs a little over one hundred pounds. Very large feet and he has a total underbite which is cute as heck. He grumbles a lot and will tell you about it. Very protective of his people and home but will let mail delivery folks pet him if they talk to him. He’s about to turn 2!
I collect elephants and this is a piece I had. I’m looking for more information so I can try to find it again. His little trunk pops right off and there’s the tool. I don’t think he had any markings.
I found two of my dream vintage toy elephants and had to share. They both have a few issues but nothing that can’t be repaired.
I have been collecting elephants for about fifteen years. The last three days have absolutely blown my mind with finds. Day one an Andrea by Sadek fishnet elephant, day two a vintage toy I had been searching for since the first year of collecting, and finally an original red elephant from the Henry on the elephant set. He’s missing an ear but it’s with him and can be fixed.
