Bib straps too short but I have a short torso??

I got a quick release bib from Jelenew, the one where you're supposed to be able to pull the back down with the straps still on. Can't do that without hearing some stitching tear AND the one time I did decide to wear the straps, I had a lot of soreness in my shoulders. I don't have a long torso.

I'm not opposed to a normal waistband, I have a pair of leggings with a waistband, but it seems like bibs work for everyone else?? Whenever I wear my bib, I have to wear it straps down and I always get a lot of questions lol. I don't need to be able to pull down the back either. Just like .5-1" longer straps with a good chamois... TIA

Help me choose fun decals :)

I got a trek domane al 5 gen 4 in matte black (better than the other options, trust!). I want to put some fun decals.

I am torn between --
The cherry blossoms have the ability to match bar tape and most likely white. The matte black is just SO... masculine it feels?

Starting a late 20's Discord group, need name recs!

And obviously if someone else is more inclined to start it, they can- you just have to invite me too lol!

I can start a poll but I don't have any name options.
"Young City Women" is all I came up with but I'm not great at naming things

I'm thinking it won't be super age specific, I'd hate for a repeat of that 35+ situation. Just anyone that doesn't quite fit either category!

One of those air wrap styler thingies

Does anyone have an air wrap/comparable product that I can try to see if it works for my hair before I buy yet another thing that won't work for me? I'm in Dupont circle.

Trouble with bike frame sizing? Letters to mm

My current specialized sirrus x 3.0 is an XS frame and I'm having trouble finding the frame size in mm- the seat tube length (C-T) is 360mm. So the bike frame is a 36? Which I know is typically how the size is determined. But then looking at other brands and even within Specialized they don't even make 36 size bikes?? And then if I look at a Specialized Allez Comp, for example, their recommended size for me is 49, which going from 36 (apparently) to 49 feels crazy??

The new bike, poseidon x gen 3, I'm looking to get would be 49. And if we're going standover height, I'm 1.5" too short. Poseidon says 30.5".

Anyway height 5'4", shin height is 13", and my inseam is 29".

If I definitely won't be able to fit the 49 poseidon, please feel free to recommend a different light touring bike! (PS sorry for my formatting, on mobile)

Endurance road bike or light touring bike with a 2nd wheelset?

Trying to decide between a Trek Domane AL gen 2/gen 4 or Poseidon X gen 3. I have a bike tour in mind I'd like to do (400 miles) which makes me think the poseidon but the wheels are pretty grippy so I'm wondering if I swap out for slicks for group rides in the city?

I've seen people say the wider the tire, the more comfortable. The Poseidon is 40mm while the Trek is 32mm.

Any ballet sneakers in WIDE??

Hello, I like the look of these ballet sneakers (not chunky) but I wear an 8.5WIDE. Any brands/shoes that are doing it like this but would fit my foot? :) TIA

Shops that carry xs/s/49 endurance road bikes?

I'm looking into getting a different bike for my weekends rides and have settled on endurance road bikes. I've been looking at a bunch of different shops because I'd like to try before I buy but most of the frames shop's have are 56/too large for me for it to be worth a try.

I'd prefer to keep it within 8mi of the DC border!

How the hell to get pumps to stay on heel??

*I have wide feet* I have a pair of 8.5 wide jessica simpson heels (prisma d'orsay). I have a small gap at my heel. Just enough so that my heel will slip SOMETIMES. But the width works.
So I am thinking- do I go extra wide size 8? And if so I need recs for heels with a 3-4" heel because when I look for those shoes they are all .5"

Ideally I'd like a pump because really that's the only time I have an issue with heels! I've tried the heel pads, toe pads, ball pads... toe pads work best but are uncomfortable-

How do you go on longer rides without packing anything??

I see many people on bikes without any sort of bag. Where are you storing your snacks?? Even if I'm not going grocery shopping and using my panniers, I still have a rack bag FULL of stuff.

Very confused about wheels...

Hello sorry if this is a really dumb question. My current tires (??) are 700x42 Pathfinder Sport (Sirrus X 1.0). If I wanted to switch for a better/faster wheel, there seems to be differences in opinion for a thinner wheel vs a "less knobby" wheel but the same width.

I've been looking at new bikes, gravel/endurance road bikes and so far my tires are the widest iut of any of the bikes I've considered. The thinnest being 700x30 (a 12mm difference?? Feels kind of crazy)

Thoughts, opinions, recs?
I think that I need to remain at 700 but can go down from 42.

Recs for an endurance road bike?

I'm considering upgrading from my hybrid at SOME POINT in the future. I like to go on longer rides on my days off ~65miles, I'd probably keep my hybrid for commuting and errands.

I'm also planning a 400 mile bike tour (no camping for me, I like hotels sorry purists!!) which is why I feel like an endurance road bike would be better?

Open to recs, my current hybrid is an XS Sirrus X 1.0. I don't know, everyone says road bikes are soo much better

Does anyone know what's up with this portion of trail?

I'm trying to go Point of Rocks and google maps is trying to take me through Poolseville vs just staying on the C&O Canal.

(I do not want to pay for an app!!)

Battery powered bike lights

Please. I have a rechargeable bike light and it dies after 2 hours on the lowest setting. My rear light (different brand- Blackburn) uses disposable batteries and I haven't had to change that battery in a year.

I bike on streets and sometimes at night and so I need a light that will actually last. The headlight is 1000 lumens and I do like that brightness.

If there are any recs for head lights that attach to bike helmets would be bery appreciated too!

TIA

(I got age restricted from the discord group and don't want to upload my ID and selfie to discord.)

I'll be getting there late at ~5pm (work) but does anyone want to meet up or let me join their group? :)
