Any replacements?

I’m traveling right now and the full bottle dumped in my bag. I don’t have any extra until my next shipment. Has anyone found store replacements for this?

How could you still be religious with what you’re going through?

Growing up, I was always heavily spiritual. It was never implemented on me. I always just had a sense for spiritual stuff when I was a kid. Ever since being chronically ill, my mindset is practically stripped of all of my beliefs. I’m not saying that I’m an atheist, but whatever is happening to me has to be the fault of something and to that I am very upset… just wondering how others cope

How do you keep going (pt 2)

I really appreciate everyone’s comments on my other post. I was able to get on Imodium 2 mg and have a reversal scheduled for the 17th of next month. I’m still struggling a lot mentally and finding it hard to find any joy in my life as I’m still pretty physically incapable of anything. I just want my body back and I don’t know what I’m gonna do if the surgery doesn’t fix it.

How do you keep going

I’m only 22 and this procedure has sent me into deep depression. My stoma has caused a constant stream of dehydration for me. I drink 4000mg of sodium daily + more in what I eat. My output isn’t even considered high but I’m struggling every single day. Every day I feel maybe 30% good and I’m constantly treating myself with meds and fluids. I don’t know how much longer I can do this. My surgeon says she’s not a doctor for this kinda stuff and my doctor tells me to ask my surgeon for help. I don’t know what else to do other than hate the life this hole has given me. I’ve had it for a year and in that year I’ve had to quit school, my job, lost all of my friends, moved cities, and developed agoraphobia because I’m so scared I’m gonna pass out and be alone. I just advise plz.

Reversal hole

I’ve never seen anyone post what they were left with after the reversal so I thought I’d share. I still have my stoma this is from when they were redoing it and moving it up higher. They just left me with an open hole that I was told to cover with gauze every single day until it closed up.

Has anyone with a stoma gone to jail/prison?

I’ve always wondered how they handle supplies/leaks/infection etc. No need to share your story if you don’t feel comfy I just know they’re notorious for not giving women menstrual products so I can’t image a bag change every 3-4 days

“It stays in your stomach for 7 years!”

A frequent thing I was told as a child, but never believed. On occasion, I accidentally swallow gum and I’ve seen a post or two on here of people wondering if it would give them a blockage. I’ve had absolutely no problems and this is what it looks like when it comes out! It isn’t fully broken down, but it is very soft and malleable so unless other things connect to it, I’m pretty sure you’ll be ok!
