What is my estimated 1RM?
Just wanted to share it’s been my goal to OHP 1 plate for 10 for a while now. It’s taken me 1.5 years to go for 1 reps to 10 reps, slow but steady progress lol.
130kg/285lbs on the bar
I squat twice a week, I have a heavy and light day.
This video is me doing my heavy day.
For my heavy day currently do a top set of 5 reps at this weight and 2 sets x 5 reps at a lower weight. The idea is to use the top set to push for strength while doing the back off sets to accumulate volume with less fatigue. When my top set is RPE 8 or lower I increase the top set weight.
Light day I focus on pause squats at a lower weight
Is form okay and Am I hitting sufficient depth?
Is this considered a high bar or a mid bar sorta squat?
What RPE/RIR would this set be do you reckon?
Is there anything you would change in my programming.
Context is my uni has a fun light hearted powerlifting meet, it’s in 2 days and I signed up thinking I wouldn’t have a spot, turns out I can compete lol. I barely ever train deadlift so this is just a random 140kg pull and kinda hard. The best I’ve ever done is 160kg. So for the 3 attempts what should I do my deadlift based of this?
How is the form?. I needa get straps because my grip slips and I constantly have to keep readjusting
What RPE would you say this set is? It is 125kg(275lbs). Hard for me to tell because squats always feel heavy no matter what lol
Anything to help optimise my form?
This was the recording of my last bench session.
I’m just trying to slowly work towards a 3 plate bench
Set 1: 105kg x 6 RPE 8.5?
Set 2: 100kg x 5 RPE 7?
Set 3: 100kg x 5 RPE 7?
Same gym same bench, 2 years later
Went from Obese to now with abs
Failing 80kg for 1, to repping 2 plates for 10
I want people to know that you can make a lot of progress if you set your mind to it. 🙏
74kg/163lbs, 5’7, 21 years old
Practicing depth by doing ATG pause squats.
I recently bought weightlifting shoes.
My form used to be a lot more horrid and used to get weird aches on my back. I have worked months and months on it. No more pain. Now I finally feel like It’s actually really good now but I need confirmation so I can stop worrying 😂.
I usually squat the other way but just doing it this way so you can see the form
Does this count or is depth not good enough. I need to know other opinions. I’m going to have to redo it if it’s too high. Been a goal of mine to hit 3 plates on the squat 🙏
Any tips appreciated too
