what should be the best brsnch/college to opt for if i wanna pursue IT and get placed there ive heard theses branches are very chill rather than civil/chem/mech and hence more time for IT i also wanna know if companies let all branches to sit for placements or only cs and ece?
hi seniors I wanted to know I can get mnnit civil easily getting mostly core branches in mid NITs mech and all people told me civil is easy and chill but I want to prep for IT placements how many companies do let civil people sit for placements and I am okay to put great efforts into DSA and comp coding but if companies would sort me out just for being from core should I take IIITs or do companies allow if you have good skills or even minors in CS after 2nd sem. pls help me out what to do

these are my options for NIT and IIIT i don’t know what would eb my best options, im okay with doing GATE for PSU or mtech and have no problem in taking core but only if i can do dsa and ds with it on side and also tell if core branches students are allowed to sit in IT placements
