Why is there no Southern Michigan University?

Currently there is Northern Michigan University, Western Michigan University, Central Michigan University, and Eastern Michigan University. Something's missing.

Loving these jersey patches, EA. Well done.

I moved LT back to CUSA and this is what their jersey patches look like. I've noticed it on several other teams who I moved to new conferences but this is the only one I got a screenshot of.

Were medieval European towns really just hodgepodges of buildings?

I really enjoy medieval city builders but my American brain always wants to lay them out in grids. But the research I've done indicates that in most cases buildings/roads were just put where they needed to be and not necessarily according to any sort of plan. What's the reality behind "city planning" for the typical medieval European settlement?
