Civil Service Jobs for Generic Bachelor’s Degree

Aside from being an administrative assistant, what other state government jobs hire those with a generic bachelor’s degree?

Also, are there specific departments that are better or worse than others for administrative assistants?

What is it like to work in Civil Service for the state government?

I am thinking of applying to be an administrative assistant in one of the departments of state government. But I wanted to know if anyone had any insights on if there are certain government departments that are better and certain government departments to avoid.

Also just in general, what is it like to work as an administrative assistant or similar level roles?

Is there an official Discord for RedNote Creators?

I have a few questions about why some things happen on Rednote, and while I love this sub for some things, it really does often feel like the blind leading the blind oftentimes.

I know there were people claiming to be representatives from RedNote posting here a little while back, but the mods seem to have deleted their comments, so maybe they were just rando scammers who spoke with confidence.

Is there somewhere else in addition to this sub I can go and ask questions?

What is the difference between red and white hashtags?

When making a post and making hashtags, I noticed that some posts have normal hashtags, while other more popular ones have a red bottom line in the hashtags, which normally correspond to hashtags with tons more post references than the white ones.

Is there any difference in engagement if I use the red hashtags vs the white ones? I am wondering if the red hashtags might be considered too popular that they aren’t considered in the algorithm or something? But I could be way off.

Does anyone know?

Life Expectancy by County, 2025 (Found on CBS 21 Local News Post)

Interesting PA map I found in post from CBS 21 News Station’s post which I haven’t seen on Reddit yet.

While CBS 21 posted it, it appears that the map was created by a group called “Center for Rural Pennsylvania” with data from The University of Wisconsin’s Population Health Institute’s “Model of Health” dataset.

New Verification: Restrictions Removed (Easy)

This was a bit of a strange one. I got the “Feature adjustment” notification from xhs which limited the visibility of my posts and comments 5 days ago. I just went back and reread the official message by clicking on “view details”, and it gave me the option to “verify account”.

It gave me some weird prompts of things like “select the two images that are fruit” and “select the two images that require electricity”. The first two presentations of this were actually impossible, so I clicked the “reset prompt” button. But then it gave me a prompt that matched the pictures. I clicked the two correct images and it told me that verification was complete and that people could now view my things again.

So I guess it was fixed now, with the extra benefit of my account finally being verified? If I am verified finally, this debacle is totally worth it! And either way, I wanted to share this with others who were locked out of communication and visibility on RedNote!

[Recommendation] Is the Crunchyroll Manga feature worth paying the extra monthly cost for isekai-enjoyers?

I am borderline on whether to upgrade my Crunchyroll or not for this reason. I am currently almost purely an anime-watcher, but I kinda want to get into manga and not just anime (I enjoyed a few mangas at my local library a while back), but I don’t want to buy them outright yet due to major cost issues.

Has anyone been in my shoes? Is the Crunchyroll Manga library worth it?

The Most and Least Visited Counties in New York

This map is generated based off the user data of a website (mob-rule) in which users keep track or which counties and county equivalents they have been to or traveled through. For example, in addition to big population centers like NYC, Buffalo, Albany, and Rochester, you can see also clearly see the route of the thruway.

Edit: When I say “visited or traveled through”, I also mean “passed through on the way to somewhere else”

The Most and Least Visited Counties in Pennsylvania

This map is generated based off the user data of a website (mob-rule) in which users keep track or which counties and county equivalents they have been to or traveled through. For example, in addition to big population centers like Philly and Pittsburgh, you can see a southern belt of counties stretching across the state that shows the I-76 turnpike, and a slightly less prominent belt of counties in the north showing the path of I-80. Also prominent is the path of I-90 through Erie County.

Edit: This is a map showing BOTH the "lived in/visited" AND the "passed through" data together. For example, Adams County is a huge tourism destination, but it lacks the 2 busy interstates (81 and 76) that Franklin County has, which explains why Adams County is much lower on this list than its neighbors (its low population doesn't help either).

My Flight Map (27M)

My extremely limited flight map. Basically I flew from Baltimore and Philly to Disney and Orlando area family 3 times by way of Atlanta, I flew from Philly to Costa Rica for a Spanish immersion trip by way of Atlanta, and I went to Minneapolis from Baltimore for a conference. Needless to say, I do most of my traveling by car lol!

How detailed maps do you use to track where you have been? (Also adding new counties to the map from NY & RI!)

I (27) added a few counties in upstate New York and also Providence County, Rhode Island to my list of counties visited.

In all my maps with filled in political entities: Blue means I have lived there. Red means I stayed there overnight. Orange means I have visited there, with my feet actually touching the ground. Yellow means I have transited through by car, but my feet never actually touched the ground (passed through). White means I never existed in that location.

I used mob-rule for the county level map, marked with highlighter the map for border crossings, and used mapchart.net for the other maps.

Given the realities of life in the near future, this will probably be the last time I will have the opportunity to update this map with new information in a while : (

And I am curious if I am the only one who has such an insanely precise method of mapping where all I have been. Or are there other people remotely as crazy as I am in this aspect?

Will Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World get a season 2?

This is one of my favorite isekais, especially with the penultimate episode. Is anyone else really hopeful that it will get another season?

ModularEvent: Worth cooking event food for profit?

Is it worth investing in ingredients for the event food to sell to Albert? Or is it significantly more profitable to stick with normal recipes?

New employee here! I have a hearing loss which I wear hearing aids for.

At the normal Zello volume, I literally can’t even hear that someone is talking if I have it in my pocket. I have found a way to turn up the volume of the last person who speaks to me, but I can’t find a way to turn up the volume of everyone all at once, nor to turn up the volume of people before nor during them talking.

I also tried connecting the device directly to my hearing aids via Bluetooth adapter (Oticon ConnectClip), but it is still way too quiet. Plus I have to log in to the Bluetooth Connect periodically, and it doesn’t tell me when it is disconnecting from the Bluetooth.

The volume is always at max and I am still having these problems. My superiors are very nice and patient with me, but would love to not have them have to track me down in person to tell me something if possible.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to make Zello just blanket louder beyond basic device volume control?
