So why is this Top Tier? Without context this only looks like it would've been Very High~Extreme High Tier only.

Aside from Crazy time scale, so much events happen in a single year in this world.

Karma is also something that connects everything in this world, meaning one small action can affect various variables in ways that doesn't exist in our world.

Quality of cognition: A Qi Refining Realm Cultivator would get disintegrated out of existence if they comprehend things that only Foundation Establishment Cultivators should know. This is because cognition literally transcends one another, that is: cognition of higher realm transcends the former. It's just like how a 8d being will beat a 3d being in powerscaling, but intelligence wise.

Unlike other stories, the narrative of this story goes crazy as a Qi Refining prodigy would've been equivalent to how we perceive people with 180+ iq, now imagine that there are apparently 5 Major Realms that transcends one another and each of those Major Realm have the minor realms with significant gaps.

And there's so many such people with their own sets of schemes.

Finished it years ago and reread Volume 1 up to Volume 3 then re-read Fate War and Reverse Flow River.

This story is the best masterpiece among all Webnovels and some people are calling it edgy, whenever I ask them they always say it's that Bear Scene or dark things happens over and over again or even more stupid reasons which goes against the principle of writing( for example if dark things happens over and over again, the impact would be reduced)

I am inclined to believe that these people do not understand how much of a masterpiece this work is or is just biased because their principles and world view is being questioned.

1.) Dark things happen over and over again which reduces impact, therefore the writing is bad/mid

Terrible argument, this story shows a cruel universe in the perspective of the demonic path. Dark things happen over and over again, eventually people get numb on it and that's exactly what the demons or even most of the characters in this story feel. The readers growing numb to such scenes in a way is similar to how the characters in the story feel, making you feel more connected and immersed to the story itself. Which makes it brilliant.

2.)Bear Scene is edgy

If it is edgy then it means it is trying too hard, if it really was trying to hard then name a few things you can remove which would still portray everything it should portray. No one was able to name any.

Once again I am just becoming more and more confident that the people who say this are the people whose world view gets challenged and has to defend their own world view by dismissal and calling it edgy

3.) Fang Yuan has zero development which makes him badly written.

Very uncommon argument but this does exist, and it's a terrible one. Fang Yuan was meant to shatter the general trend of what well written character are like.

Unlike others who face internal conflict, before having a development Fang Yuan was meant to be complete from the very start.

4.)Terrible prose

Said by people reading in an english translation btw. If ya'll are real writing analysts or at least dedicated to it then go learn the original language, we have AI and technologies now too for minimal assistance. Saying Reverend Insanity has terrible prose while having English Standards is called cultural bias, literally a sign of Ethnocentrism.

You won't fully capture the brilliance of the story in the current English form. I bet people who talk about bad prose are clueless about the references that Fang Yuan makes in his poems, in the first chapter alone🥀

I am posting this because I am a new writer who started writing a Xianxia novel a while ago.

My goal is really simple, my main goal is to improve in writing obviously but I have another goal in mind.

I want to see a Cultivation World with actual logic, I know it's nearly impossible but I want to see how close I can get.

This is why I am asking seniors for help🙏

For Xianxia/Murim/Wuxia, I've already read stuffs like: World's Apocalypse Online, Reverend Insanity(First cultivation novel), Being A Talent in Primordial Saint Sect, The Terrible Eternal Path, Spirit Blade Mountain and other cultivation stories.

These are some things I am already planning to take into account:

1.) Intelligence levels: Realistically a Cultivator hundreds of years old who has transcended past human limits should not have the mind of a teenager who easily gets ragebaited.

But this one is truly extremely difficult to write. I have spent more than 1 month making various diagrams and notes to explain what a peak scheme within Qi Refining Realm should look like and I still haven't finished it. I only nearly finished the foundations and general details but not the specific ones and I feel like most were too much of a logical leap but whatever.

As for Golden Core~Nascent Soul level of schemes/thinking/reasoning, believe me or not I have already spent more than half a year making so many notes and diagrams, trying to create interconnectivity in each step of the scheme but goddamn I lose track so many times and I had to revise a few times because some steps doesn't make sense.

To be able to cover all the intelligence levels, I estimate I would need 3,000~4,000 chapters which would definitely take more than 10 years but this is a long term project anyways, so it's fine in my perspective.

2.) Social Systems+human complexity: A lot of stories genuinely underrate how complex social groups should be, so I am planning to add more logic by basing it on real life sociology, politics and psychology.

Also a lot of times, in order for a character or the protagonist to look smart, the characters get dumbed down, I don't want that and that's why I suffer.

3.) Protagonist: I want the protagonist to feel realistic. Of course in such a cruel cultivation world, not dying even once is extremely unlikely so of course I gave him a System with many tweaks, regressions, rewards etc and complex mechanisms and lore.

4.) Cultivation Logic: Genuinely how is comprehending that water makes things watery a genuine cultivation power up that makes you break through Nascent Soul😭🙏

So I want to make logic more complex+to justify lacking in complexity(because it's not possible for me to write the realistic level of intricacies) I will simply add the fact that Heavens is using Cognitive Obstruction, so the deeper the secrets of Heaven and Earth that you want to comprehend/study, the more Cognitive Obstruction is sent to your mind.

I don't want to write something like a peak story on the level of Reverend Insanity, Renegade, LOTM, Ten Days Ultimatum etc, I just want to see the closest representation of a cultivation world.

Being a top tier in strategy doesn't mean you will always have the most optimal decision in which Game Theory will come in. (You might end up trying to get to a deceptive goal that is actually not beneficial)

Game Theory is literally extremely crucial in outsmarting matchups because outsmarting matchups itself isn't just solving puzzles but having to interact with the opponent in most situations.

That's adding more categories, but hear me out, "Intelligence" is just too broad and outsmarting matchups just makes it even more complex, so of course there would have to be so many categories in fact I believe there's probably going to be thousands of categories if you want to be specific.

This revolves around finding the optimal strategy accounting what everyone else is doing. (The optimal move can change depending on the Players due to various factors, this also already includes Opponent Modeling but you can use Opponent Modeling separately if you want)

Payoff Analysis:

You don't just analyze what you gain and lose, you also analyze what others gain and lose which would be crucial in the long-term if the game continues.

Minimax:

**"**What happens if my opponent makes the move that hurts me most?" Minimax revolves around dealing with the worst possible scenario, it is about minimizing the upper limit of possible loss.

The characters who scale the highest in Game Theory tend to be the characters in those ancient warfare scenarios.
