I would love a New World Forever

I've never been a WoW guy, but the whole hype around WoW Forever got me quite jealous.

Now imagine for a second that we had a New World Forever, with a much slower leveling experience so you could enjoy every bit of side questing and there is life in each town including low level ones. Where crafting and gathering plays a huge role even at low levels. And you take your time leveling up and build up your forever character.

The end game has always been NWs weakest point but the main quest line and the first time leveling has been magnificent. I know over the years they sped up leveling quite a bit and it did help them get more players, but I'd have loved a slow and steady version of the game.

Do you know what's the best part of this new league?

They actually fixed the shader cache and freeze issues. Really looking forward to mapping without a freeze every other minute!.

Edit: Mapping, not napping :)

They really need to rework all the utility items in this game

I loved this game back in the earlier days and had a full playthrough. This week, I decided to start over and check all the content, and now I'm starting to remember all the unnecessary friction in this game.

Biggest one is the inventory situation. They give you 8 item slots in your hotbar, and then like 12+ items that you need to use on a rotation. This is not a fun game mechanic by any means. Why's build tool is a tool I need to hold in my hand and not just a B button? Why do I need to equip the reaper every time, why can't it just be a hotkey? You can still have item slots like any other game that has a gathering mechanic, just leave a special slot for each item type.

Is everyone just swapping items constantly? Is there a solution to this that I've missed?

You can mass birth wombgifts in the tree

I just discovered this accidentally and haven't seen anyone else mention it before, so here it goes.

In the genesis tree, take a wombgift as you'd usually do, and put that into the slot. Then instead of a regular click, use ctrl+click on the purple hand. This gives you a purple cursor and then you can click a bunch of wombgifts in your stash or inventory to birth them all really fast.

What ascendancy would you pick for the new RF?

The Raven's Flock (RF 2.0) seems like a fun build to try even though it's unclear how endgame viable it is. What ascendancy would you pair this staff with?
