I’m not really amazing with freehand. But basically calling him done. I think it has the essence of what I was going for, and it’s cool to definitely learn. I think it will rock on the table, or of the person who buys them will repaint them as the Armageddon banner. But either or. Only have one more to go. So feeling good and close to the end!
Really appreciate the support this reddit group has given. Dark Krakens are so cool and I hope people like what I’ve done with them. Even if it’s my own little twist.

Happy to have finished off this guy, still a little mass base work I want to do, but happy to have him looking as good as he is.
Moving onto the ancient next, wondering what people are doing? Thought of maybe doing his helmet Purple like the vanguard? Or just standard? Or maybe like a purple stripe on the black? What are peoples thoughts.

Only 2 more to go! So I am excited there! Finish line is in sight

Been working on these guys today, really happy with how they’ve come out!
Still deciding on the tactical rock colours and some insignias and what not. But think I’ve finally gotten the right blends, now with 3 models left to go, I’m excited to get to the end of it all!

Hopefully you guys like it so far! Just the Chaplain, Ancient and Captain left to go now!

So just another update, took me a bit longer to do the Vanguard, just so many nice and cool parts to it (Detail creep is so real on these!)
Love them both, I felt like a blue glove was a bit odd on the leather, so just kept it as is. Hope you guys like, want to try to finish the next 3 before I take photos.

So this week I have managed to get half way through my Armageddon and this is what I’ve gotten through. Starting the librarian next so hopefully I can smash that out and begin the vanguard.

Hopefully you guys like them, once they’re all done I’ll do some freehand work and final little adjustments.
My mate is helping with the captains relic shield which I’m excited for!

So another couple of days, and I managed to finish off the Eradicators and the next 5 Intercessors. Pretty happy with how the progress is going, and how the sergeants face turned out, always learning and getting better!

So now onto the last 10 models. Next is the speeder I think.

So today I kicked off my project, I’ve got 2 weeks to finish off the Armageddon set, thankfully already off to a smashing start with the first squad done and now leagues into these guys, still the metal to finish off, and some minor bits here and there, but not bad for today’s work I think! So super happy! Hope you guys like it too, and will be updates daily as I go!

So obviously these are hard and fast, approximately 1 hour per model. Trying to learn a hell of a lot (and feels like I certainly did) so can use that going into the next bunch and keep pushing to get better and faster. First time using this NMM on the guns. But was so much fun!

So more to come, especially next week when the main project kicks off! Stay tuned for more!

Wanted to show a little progress with how they’re all going so far! Not the most amazing work, but for speed they are definitely the best work yet! Need a little glaze/smoothing on the shoulders and final details to polish off, all in all about 3 hours work on these guys so far, so looking like the time frame of 1-2 hours per model will be perfect!

So finally got the chance to finish off my squad of Red Corsairs, been a little longer than I wanted, but super happy with how they’ve come out.

Trying not to concentrate on the little details and more getting the bigger parts done. So I know there are some details mot done but I love how quickly I’ve done them and the look of them on the battlefield!

Hey all,
Just joined the group, been planning this for a while as soon as the boxed set was mentioned. I’m planning to paint these guys up as Dark Krakens and then auction them off for mental health. I’m really excited to get that done and post some of the WIP as I go!

Pretty happy with my very first attempt for some cool flamer and OSL, it was airbrushed and trying to learn better and more advanced techniques. But I will definitely take it, I might put a little orange dot in the eye lens too but happy with how they are starting to come together!

Finished up my Titus recently, I wanted something faster than my usual paint technique and I pushed to have more contrast on everything. I think it’s getting better slowly.

Also changed up the base, wanted it more in tune with my usual army being anti Chaos, and the world eater scheme matches the kill team I did for World eaters.
The shoulders felt like it was more feathers than fur, so tried to have it more of that, think I got enough detail without too much time spent on them.
Super happy and hope you all like him.
