Imagine getting done with your 8-10 hours shift at work and then getting stuck in this during the evening. The constant and needless routes and administration's incompetence is making Islamabad unlivable.
Planning to upgrade from my 8th gen Civic (Reborn), but very few options are making sense (primarily because my car is very well maintained and is 100% trouble free). I can extend my budget to 5.5m-ish.
The problem is I want something that has as much power (bare minimum) or more. The options I have narrowed are Civic X Turbo and Elantra (2.0L). I don't think I can settle for a slower/less than 1.8l car. One other option is Nissan Note (it has good acceleration), but I am not sure about reliability.
Would like input from people who have a car that falls in this price bracket. Fuel economy isn't a concern for me. And I prefer a sedan over an SUV otherwise I think I can get a Sportage as well (Alpha) in this budget.

Can't believe this area has been built up in the last few years and no one at CDA thought that it should have adequate parking too. Shockingly bad planning for which heads should roll.
The buildings aren't even half occupied right now and there's already no place to park during the day.
As you can see in the picture most buildings have cars double parked in front of them (Dala/Civic X have blocked a lane) leaving just one lane for two-way traffic.
I am saying this as a man that majority of men in this country are disgusting and vile and just can't stand women.
I am sure you all know what happened in Quetta with a female doctor being a victim of an acid attack. Yesterday a 17-year-old girl faced an acid attack in Sukkur for using a mobile phone.
Then there's an old man in Karachi who murdered his wife for not having sex with him and I have seen a video of people praising him outside the court, saying he did the right thing.
Another story in the papers today was a man in Taxila raping a 50-year-old woman and posted the video on social media. Another story was of a guy making an AI generated obscene video of a female TikTokker.
These are just few examples from today, but women have no peace anywhere. At homes many women are controlled by their fathers, husbands and brothers. Face abuse and are treated as lesser humans.
Even seemingly educated males from teenagers to those above 60 can be seen using filthy language against women online. Open the comments of female celebrity/influencers and you'll see men targeting her. Most still think rape and physical violence is something to joke about.
There's literally no place safe for women, they'll be harassed in public transport and workplaces and face trouble at home too. It's heartbreaking to see how much women suffer in this country and how vile men are and it's all normalized that people think it's completely fine.
Back when it wasn't called the Expressway and it was a 2-lane road with greenery on both sides. Old enough to remember the road being this way.
Why are so many people adamant on driving in the fast lane at speed of 40/50 and hold up traffic?
It's getting so common and it's so frustrating. Such a basic traffic rule that you have to let people pass you if they are driving faster.
And not only most of these lane hoggers block traffic some of the morons get aggressive and slow down if you flash your lights or honk at them and some clowns start racing. If you have anyone in your friends and family who has this beemari please tell them to learn traffic rules.

For some weird reason, last night I was thinking that I haven't had an accident in almost 4 years. The couple of times I have had accidents they weren't major.
Today a bike wala decided to change that and gave me a decent sized teeka (kharcha), and obviously had to let him go because he said bhai sorry ghalti ho gyi me ghareeb hon. Was grateful though that the idiot didn't injure himself otherwise wo bhi gari walay kay hy galay parta hai.
