Consiglio per Halloween: "Haunted Hotel"! Voi cosa mi consigliate di bello? 🎃

Ciao a tutti! 🎃

Volevo lasciarvi un piccolo consiglio per questo periodo di Halloween: se non l'avete ancora vista, recuperate assolutamente la serie Haunted Hotel! A me sta piacendo davvero tantissimo e secondo me è perfetta per l'atmosfera di queste serate.

Ciao a tutti!

L'avete visto? Che ne pensate? Vi è piaciuto o vi ha lasciati indifferenti?

What-If: Who is one non-killer character you wish had been Ghostface?

Which non-killer character would have made the most interesting Ghostface if the story went differently? Personally, I think Dewey/Randy/Kirby would have been crazy...

Why does it feel like people rarely talk about the 'Paranormal Activity' franchise anymore?

Hey everyone! I’ve noticed that when people discuss the best modern horror franchises or found footage gems, 'Paranormal Activity' barely gets a mention anymore. It feels like the community has kind of moved on, and I don't get why.

When I was a kid, these movies completely traumatized me. The first few films gave me severe insomnia because that slow-burn, bedroom-camera tension felt way too real. Today, I look back at them with so much love—in fact, I’ve rewatched them so many times that I basically know the whole franchise by heart.

I know the later sequels divided the fanbase, but the lore, the atmosphere, and the jump scares were honestly groundbreaking for the late 2000s/early 2010s.

How do you guys feel about the franchise looking back? Did it scare you as much as it scared me when you first saw it? And which sequel is your low-key favorite?

Please recommend a movie that is GENUINELY terrifying?

Hey everyone! I’m on the hunt for a horror movie that will actually give me nightmares or make me want to sleep with the lights on. I watch a lot of horror, but lately, nothing seems to scare me anymore.

To give you an idea of my taste: 'The Conjuring' and 'Ghostland' are two movies that genuinely terrified me and gave me that deep, unsettling feeling of pure dread. On the other hand, I’m not a big fan of cheap jump scares or pure gore without a good story—I want something atmosphere-heavy, psychological, or paranormal that gets under your skin.

What is the one movie that absolutely broke you or made you cover your eyes? I'm open to anything (found footage, supernatural, indie gems). Hit me with your absolute scariest picks!

Ghostland (2018) [Psychological Horror / Slasher]

I wanted to open a discussion with this question, but first, I need to talk about Ghostland (2018). For me, this is hands down one of the best horror movies I have ever seen. Along with Suspiria, it is one of the very few films that genuinely, deeply terrified me. If you haven't watched it yet, you absolutely need to see it as soon as possible!

The opening sequence of this movie is an absolute masterclass in tension and brutality. It sets such a suffocating, terrifying tone right from the start, and that raw home invasion scene is unforgettable.

It actually inspired my question: if you had the power to change horror history and save just ONE victim from an opening scene, who would it be?

Are you saving someone from a brutal nightmare like Ghostland, a classic icon like Casey Becker in Scream, or someone else entirely? Also, let me know if you’ve seen Ghostland and what you thought of it!
