Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin: Wear + Coverage for 24hrs.

Okay, for context, I work in the medical field, and go on 24-48 hour duties. This balm just works for me. A little goes a long way, there is oil control, and I look snatched! It's perfect huhuhuhu. Ideally for aircon or not too init environments kung 24hrs pero if 12-16 hours it's okay lang sa PH hospital ward init. 🌞

I got some hormonal pimples around my chin and lower cheeks here so I spot concealed. Including a little under my eyes but that's it. My complexion looks even and fresh.

Face base swatches.

Exact shades placed on photo in second slide. I am a medium neutral with golden tones. Tirtir ones are my summer colors, while the BLK one was a blind buy and a little too dark for me. :( NARS custard is my brightening concealer. All the rest are my constants! Winter or pale foundation, which was not included here, is Dior Forever Skin Perfect in 2N. Another base not added here is Happy Skin's concealer in Sand Beige which is a skin match on me. 😊 Shade twins welcome in the comments! ❤️

Toasty girl

Toasty morena girl vibe during our Da Nang Trip. It was sunny, humid and hot (think 39C real feel) But we gotta maintain that kikay vibe. Loved the way the blush looked muted on my skin. Also, brillant morena hack- using the KJM Bronzers as lippy! Loved the muted red brown shade of Sunburnt on my lips. P.S. Laban na laban talaga ang Dazzle Me setting sprays. So glad I tried them from numerous recommendations. ❤️

Finally got a hold of both of them! Time to compare. ❤️

Will try to compare the OG Danessa Myricks Tinted version to the Teviant dupe that honestly works great.

Have been using the colorless DM for years now (it's amazing, oily girlies will love this as a primer) and recently purchased the Teviant Balm (Vietnam humidity tested). Now my in-laws were able to score the tinted DM for me in my exact shade. So happy. 🙏❤️ Will try to post a comparison on here in a few weeks.

Teviant Complexion Perfector in Medium 1.4 Norma

Danessa Myricks shade- 3.5

Teviant suits my summer tan better as it's a little more peachy than the DM one. The DM one seems to be the exact match for my décoletteage.

Has anyone else tried both? How was your experience?

Vietnam haul.

Picked up my first fragrance buys of the year. There was a sale and I couldn't be happier. I also wanted to ge lt Eau De Rhubarbe Ecarlate from Hermes but they didn't have any in stock. So happy to have new babies in my collection. ❤️

In photo: Hermes Un Jarfin Sur Le Toit, Jo Malone Sarlet Beetroot, JM Nectrarine Blossom and Honey, JM Orange Marmalade, Diptyque L'eau Papier, Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid Intense, Diptyque Fleur de Peu Solid, free Figueri candle, free Chloé EDP.

Not pictured: Free Diptyque Orpheon 7.5ml EDP (Forgot to add in photo)

Does anyone have any leads for Rhubatbe Ecarlate?

Help me find my shade match and shade twins.

Disclaimer: I think my Tirtir ones were matched to a more tanned shade of my skin as I was a bit more tan when we went to Korea.

From top to bottom:

  1. Tirtir Mask Fit AI Filter Cushion in N29

I honestly think this one is a little to olive for me. However if I remember right, it looked quite okay on me a couple of months ago.

  1. Tirtir Mask Fit Red Foundation in N28

Looks better on me now then when I first purchased it. Both Tirtir products were matched to me in store while in Korea. I found out from them that my usual shade 27N was not a good match for me.

  1. Happy Skin Multi Tasking Serum Concealer in Soft Beige (Current daily spot concealer, my fave!)

At my most pale, this is usually the best match for me. Lightweight, easy to blend, medium coverage. Lately I have been getting a lot of dark spots, and this doesn't cut it. Might need a color corrector with this but I have repurchased this like 4 times now and always keep a spare! No breakouts too.

  1. BLK Soft Blur Stick Foundation in Chestnut (New, came with bundle, wanted to get a slightly slighter and more neutral shade)

A recent purchase with their BLK x Bash bundle. I was honestly dissapointed to know that I couldn't choose a shade from their wider range when I got this. It seems like a close match but I think runs warmer than I'd like. Seems to have a matte finish, but feels a little oily on the fingers. I don't gravitate towards foundation sticks for my acne prone skin but we'll see.

  1. NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer in Ginger (I feel is my best match. My usual go to for full glam/full coverage concealer looks.)

This one is the GOAT. Full coverage, sets matte, doesn't budge. Not recommended for undereye. Make sure you exfoliate before applying as it clings to dry patches.

What do you think? Are we shade twins? Looking for matches in the same range, specially for cushions, tints or foundation.

An attempt at Zendaya's Sunkissed "The Odyssey" NYC Premier Look

Well, I definitely don't look like Zendaya, but really liked her makeup looks during her press tour for The Odyssey. Here's an attempt at recreating it on me. I also tried to soften my features by using lighter colored brow gel and mascara but maybe the mascara was an oopsie, should have kept it black for some contrast since the brows are already light and no lashes or liner used.

My conclusion is- i need a "boy blush" in my makeup kit. Something brown-y or darker to add as a blush topper. Tell me what you think.

Makeup Used:

Base

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation (Old Formulation) in Cashew

Happy Skin Multitasking Serum Concealer in Soft Beige

d'Alba First Spray Serum

Givenchy Prism Libre loose powder in Pastel Celebration

Eyes

Rom&nd Better Than Palette, Burny Brown shade

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Color in Strapless

Maybelline Crayon Liner for tightline, brown

Bbia Last Autogel Liner in Cream Beige for waterline

Canmake Heavy Rotation Browcara in N56

Heroine Make Volume Curl Mascara in 02

Face

Canmake Shading Powder in 01

Happy Skin Secon Skin Blush in Natural Blush

Hourglass Palette in Horse

Lips

KMJ Cheeklip Bronzer in Sunburst

Benefit Matte Lip in French Toast

Rare Beauty Balm in Nearly Neutral

Kbeauty inspired look done by pro HMUA

Shoutout to the makeup artist Ira Abdala. Had a shoot done and just really appreciated the makeup she did for me. It was a themed shoot, sort of soft korean/kbeauty. Despite my obviously non-korean features I think she made me look great. Really liked the foundation she used on me. I appreciate the fact that she just groomed my brows with brow gel (I think) and I love the overall glowy, blush centric but bright makeup. I currently have very textured and acne mark infested skin particularly on my cheeks and chin. Photos taken with flash.

P.S. This was taken 3 hours after makeup was done. And I sorta rubbed off the makeup in some spots na (my nostrils XD)

P.P.S. I was not able to take note of most of the products she used on me. I just remember the glue free lashes, YSL blush, CT setting spray, and dior blush palette. I think she used a lippy from Teviant but I can't be too sure. Then she topped it off with some Kiko Milano gloss.
