cùco rose morning + chic sugar spark combo 💖

Base coat: orly bonder

Nail color : cuco rose morning (2 coats) + chic sugar spark (1 coat)

Top coat: sassy magic gel top coat

Love how this combo turned out!! Yung glitters netong chic turned out better than I expected! Thick and gloopy nga lang sya pero okay yung distribution ng glitters. I fear I have developed an obsession with glittery nails from this combo 🙈

First time ko din itry yung sassy magic gel top coat, let's see how it compares with my essie gel couture 👀

Grabe anong mayroon sa Dazzle Me (yung shimmer pride variant) na kinaya ang init at humidity ng UP Diliman mula lunchtime hanggang 8pm, kasama ng endless pila na walang aircon?

Other products used:

Maybelline red lipstick as blush

Empties for the month of June (project pan update)

It’s been a while since I posted my empties for this year. I admit, I wasn’t consistent with my pans because I use my other products so I would know what I’ll repurchase in the future.

Colourette Lash bomb - I tried their first mascara variant (orange tube) and I didn’t see the difference between the two. They both hold the curl my lashes and didn’t weigh down. Would I repurchase? Maybe in the future since I’m going back to Maybelline Hypercurl.

Detail Cosmetics Eyebrow pen in Hazelnut - this is my nth pencil from them and will not stop repurchasing this. Kung may mas holy pa sa holy grail eto na yon.

How do you store your brushes?

I’m not a fan of cups because I don’t like brush heads touching each other. Plus they don’t really work with dual ended brushes. Most of the pen holder racks I see on shopee are acrylic and too plain for my liking, but I did find this one wooden pen holder which is quite nice but only holds 3 brushes.

My current stash: From local junkie to high-end

I am a huge base product girly, and NARS bacame my go-to brand for offering the perfect range of finishes, from radiant to natural to super matte!! I love mixing them depending on the day, even blending in the Maybelline Lifter Plump foundation for a seamless "no-makeup" look. For spot concealing, NARS Soft Matte is unmatched, but for the under-eyes, the Dior Forever Skin Correct I use this with Nars creamy concealer in the shade Biscuit to correct dark pigments paired with the Haus Labs brush is pure sorcery, totally worth the splurge. To lock it all in, the One Size Ultra Pink powder completely lives up to the blurring filter allegations.

Speaking of One Size, their products are definitely worth the investment for the longevity alone. I love the Til Dawn Glitter Waterproof Setting Spray in Brown Sugar!! it gives the same incredible hold as the original formula but with a subtle shimmer that's perfect for parties. I'm actually waiting for another
new product to arrive in my mail! It's the One size Product Til Dawn Bronze Veil Waterproof Setting Spray!! but honestly, anything from One Size is pretty much a guaranteed holy grail when it comes to keeping makeup locked in all day.

So... for my Base Products:

• NARS Natural Matte Longwear Foundation (Valencia)

• NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer (Sydney)

• NARS Soft Matte Complete Foundation (Siberia)

• Maybelline Lifter Plump & Glow Foundation (220)(This is not yet available here in the Philippines, I pre-ordered it from US)**

• Dior Forever Skin Correct (2W)

• NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer (Praline)

• NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (Biscuit)

• One Size Ultra Pink Loose Setting Powder

• Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette (Volume II)

• Anastasia Beverly Hills Powder Bronzer (Beach Bum Bronze)

• Stila Heaven's Hue Highlighter (Kitten)

For blush, I’m sticking with a local favorite: Glam Hour Artiste Rouge's. I'm on my 4th pan now, regardless of the noise surrounding the brand, this formula is a standout powerhouse. It is incredibly long-lasting and beautifully pigmented; that does not disrupt your make up base and the longevity alone completely won me over.

For dimension, the ABH Powder Bronzer is buttery and effortlessly controllable, while the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette is my holy grail that I can't get my hands off!!. Pair those with Stila’s Kitten highlighter, and it’s literally glass skin in a pan. Will definitely repurchasing this over and over.

On a quick de-influencing note, the Patrick Ta Major Dimension Duo eyeshadow just wasn't worth the investment. There are far more vibrant and luminous formulas on the market.

As for my tools, investing in the Haus Labs concealer brush was a total game-changer. It has the perfect weight and completely eliminated my struggles with patchiness, creasing, and under-eye separation. On the other hand, Morphe brushes are highly underrated IMO, I love that they use silver ion-infused bristles, so the synthetic fibers naturally repel bacteria to keep your face cleaner while diffusing powders beautifully.

And for my Makeup tools/brushes:

• Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Concealer Brush

• Makeup by Mario F4 Dual-Ended Complexion Brush

• Morphe Brushes:

-M107 Paddle Cream and Liquid Flat thin Brush

-M243 Slanted Cream and Liquid Brush for
Contouring

-M201Angled Powder Blush Brush

–M204 Cream Liquid Blush Brush

-M133 Concealer Brush

-M363 Eyeliner Brush that can be used for brows

To wrap this up, I’ve definitely fallen hard down the luxury beauty rabbit hole. This isn't to say high-end automatically means superior, but now I understand the overall performance and how beautifully these formulas sit on the skin is just on another level. As a former local makeup junkie, it’s hard to go back. Looks like I'll be investing more in high-end while keeping only the drugstore and local gems that I know truly work for me.

If you made it this far, thanks for reading! Comment down below if you have any questions about any of the products😇

Detail haul! 🫶🏻

First time posting a haul! Just bought these (except the 4 superfine liner on the right side) last July 1 during their shopee live for 869.00! 🎉

I can't even remember how many superfine liner I've emptied for years so I made sure to restock when there's a sale.

I really love these liners! 🫶🏻 I have very sparse eyebrows that my friends used to joke that my eyebrows are bald. I remember the time my co-worker, in my 1st ever work, taught me how to do my eyebrows because she feels sad on how it looked. I loved her to bits! She's like a beauty mentor that opened the doors to make-up for me. Lol.

I'm not a 'make-up-on-point' type of person, I just like everything neat and simple since I don't have much time in the morning to do make-up BUT eyebrows are a different story! ✨ I would never leave the house without doing my eyebrows, even when I'm about to be late! That's how much I love doing it ,and because the detail liner is so fine it sooo easy to use that even when I'm at a rush, I'm not afraid that I would put on too much! 💕 It also stays until the afternoon. With this liner, I've never experienced the ends of my eyebrows erased because I accidentally rubbed it (which I've experienced before with other liner, that a friend had to point out that my eyerbrow is 'putot' 🤦🏻‍♀️).

As for the other items (claypen and lip leisure), l've read a lot of good reviews about them and I'm excited to try everything! Hope, I'll love it as much as I love the pencil liners! 💋

What make-up products do you love so much, that you'd never be you without it? I'd love to know and try one day! TIA

Mid-Year Beauty Check-In: What have you been into lately?

We’re pretty much halfway through the year already (July 2 if we’re counting down to the day), so I’m curious: how has everyone been so far this year, beauty-wise?

Personally, I’ve mostly been just using up what I already have. Nearly made it to July without curiosity purchases but I did end up getting some fragrance items and brushes during the past couple weeks. Makeup has been in a low-buy /minimal interest phase for me lately.

How about everyone else? Anyone else deep in a specific phase right now, like beige blushes, hair styling rabbit hole, tutorial playlists, color analysis paralysis, or can’t stop watching fragrance reviews even if you’re not buying? Doesn’t have to be a purchase thing, could also be what’s living in your head.

Also, any fellow low-buy/low-interest/maintenance mode folks out here? What’s been keeping you in it, and has anything almost broken you?

And no matter which camp you're in, best discovery this year so far? Biggest letdown? Anything you’re looking forward to for the next half of the year?

Mandatory January to June 2026 pans

Product list:

- Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion (Rich): hydrating enough during daytime for my combination skin. I make sure to apply it on my lips since it locks the hydration well before I put on Vaseline. Already repurchased a bigger bottle of this
- Vytle Daily Ceramide Moisturizer: my replacement for Avene Cicalfate when it broke me out during pregnancy. It works for my sensitive skin, although it stung at first. It also has a white cast when applied that goes away when absorbed
- The Body Shop Almond Milk Body Butter: I bought it as a hand cream since it’s the travel size version. It’s a reliable product that also works great for body hydration. The scent is luxurious but not overpowering
- Avene Cicalfate Repairing Cream: my long-term moisturizer before it broke me out all of a sudden during pregnancy. Will purchase it again once I finish my bigger tube of moisturizer from a different brand since it doubles as a makeup primer and can be used as a diaper rash cream
- Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioning Milk: was originally intended for my face but it unfortunately broke me out. Repurposed it as a body lotion instead, but it’s best for colder weather since it can be quite sticky
- Isntree Chestnut BHA 0.9% Clear Toner: my HG for removing whiteheads on my nose, minimizing the appearance of pores, and speeds up the healing of acne. It works better when applied on cotton pads than directly on face imo
- Batiste dry shampoo in Original (classic fresh): a staple in my haircare routine esp. during pregnancy. It didn’t cause dandruff nor does it left any white residue. Already bought a replacement in Tropical scent
- Bioderma Sensibio micellar water: my tried and true staple for first step cleansing. Will never not purchase this

NARS Starwoman & Strokes Red Carpet

NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment in Starwoman
A true neutral-to-cool blue-based red.
Very vibrant and saturated.
Makes teeth appear whiter because of its blue undertone. Matte liquid formula with a lightweight finish.

Strokes Velvet Kiss Lipstick in Red Carpet
Also a classic red, but tends to lean slightly warmer depending on lighting and skin tone.
Velvet matte lipstick formula rather than a liquid matte.

Undertone: Starwoman is cooler; Red Carpet is a touch warmer.
Finish: Starwoman is a liquid matte, while Red Carpet has a soft velvet matte finish.

If your goal is to dupe the color, Red Carpet is one of the closer local alternatives while Starwoman gives that iconic, timeless Hollywood red, while Red Carpet offers a similar elegant look at a more affordable price.

Need a good moisturizer reco!

Dry skin girlies, I need your help. 🥹

What's the best moisturizer you've tried for repairing your skin barrier? My skin has been so dry and dull recently, and I feel like it just needs a lot of hydration.

Watsons price discrepancy

I wasn’t planning on buying any skincare since I still have at home, but ang daming nakasale na Cetaphil (until today only so go na!!!) and I thought to myself na birthday ko naman next week, plus Watsons member din ako. I even double checked the yellow label kasi seems like yung daycream lang ang super sale (right one).

After ko magbayad with the other items I needed, nagtaka ako bakit ang laki ng binayaran ko. Pagkacheck ko ng resibo, naka-less ₱500+ lang yung Cetaphil. I politely asked the cashier kasi baka yung night cream kako yung nascan.

But they admitted na nagkamali lang sila ng lagay ng price, ibabalik nalang daw pera ko. I told them I want the item, and that I only bought it because it’s super sale, and that they should follow the display price.

They gave me back my ₱400+, walang argument na nangyari. Good thing the staff were also nice :)
