Bought sunscreen from Beach Hut, got a full-sized freebie???

Bought sunscreen from Beach Hut, got a full-sized freebie???

I'm active a lot and I'm also a little SPF demon so I go through sunscreen FAST. Wanted to restock on the aerosol from Beach Hut then chineck ko Shopee nila and they had this promo na kasama yung sunstick nila (which I didn't even know they have pala???). So I got it! May libre pa na sand mat eh so bonus pa yon. Imagine my shock when I opened my parcel to see na there was also a free full-sized clear gel version nung unseen na spf nila 😭 Expiration is Dec 2026, pero as someone nga na mabilis makaubos ng ganito, I don't mind so much bc for sure di naman yan aabot ng December sakin HAHAHAHAH I'm excited to try this out because apparently it's good under makeup daw and tomorrow is a full beat day for me so! Fingers crossed na maganda siya para di lang sa katawan ko mapunta hehe

I think total I paid for this was 1k (with vouchers). So for me sulit na, considering each of these products retail at ~600php minimum each. If anyone has had experience using these, share them in the comments!! I've dug around a bit sa Reddit and parang mixed reviews bc some people find the Unseen products oily but some say they're good naman for sun protection + as a base for makeup. Also checked the ingredients sa INCI and mukhang safe naman siya sa skin!

Favorite loose powder

Already on my 2nd tub of the Teviant Loose Powder! It’s very oily-girl friendly, finely milled, and I love that the packaging is so hygienic.

I just wish I knew how to “simot” every last bit of product from the tub! 😂 If anyone has tried opening or dismantling the tub to get to the remaining powder, please let me know how you did it! 🙏

Skin type: oily skin

Skin tone: Morena cool-neutral

Shade: Custard

I finally got rid of my underarm B.O.

I struggled with really bad (and I mean, REALLY bad) underarm odor since I was a young teen. I was using tawas at the start then switched to antiperspirant deodorant when the smell got stronger. I’ve tried all forms of antiperspirant deodorant - spray, stick, roll-on, gel, and lotion type. Nothing worked.

I got desperate and started searching for “hacks” and “tips” on how to get rid of B.O. and tried almost everything. From making sure to take a bath twice a day to buying different kinds of products. These are a some things I’ve done, to name a few:

  • daily bath + deodorant
  • switched to men’s deodorant when the underarm smell got stronger
  • applied benzoyl peroxide 2x a week
  • laser underarm hair removal
  • changed diet
  • applied lemon juice / apple cider vinegar / baking soda on my UA
  • bought “organic” deodorant from Healthy Options

Still, nothing worked. Then I decided to stop using deodorant completely. It was a risk but it was the only thing I wasn’t able to try. At first, I really SMELLED. I had to keep wiping my underarms with wipes, alcohol, or washing it in a bathroom even when I would be out in public.

I knew I had to detox from deodorant so I remained persistent. I began to notice that my BO started to go away a few months into my detox. When I reached a year, I found out about Nuud deodorant which I applied 1-2x a week. Eventually, I didn’t have to put anything on my underarms and I wouldn’t smell! The detox worked!

It’s been 3 years since I threw out all my deodorant and said goodbye forever. Now, I don’t put any deodorant at all and I don’t smell. Of course, there are certain days when there is a little smell especially when it’s very hot or when I’m working out but definitely not as horrible as before. In fact, I think I may be the only one who can smell it. I’ve also been using glycolic acid 1-2x a week for whitening and to kill bacteria.

To those struggling with underarm BO, don’t give up! Maybe all you need is a detox.

EDIT: Some comments are saying this is an ad for Nuud but let me add that I also use Coconut Matter Natural Deodorant on rare times when I feel like I’m going to be very sweaty (maybe 2-3 times a month lang).

My understanding (& research) of body odor going away WITHOUT deodorant is that deodorant changes the types of bacteria living in your armpit. When you stop using antiperspirant, the environment (armpit) gradually returns to a more normal, balanced mix, and smell becomes milder. Deodorants also block sweat glands so bacteria + blocked glands = bad body odor.

Math isn't mathing. Ingat sa mga gantong beauty influencer.

I keep seeing reviews from people claiming they've used it "for 4 years," but it's only been out for about 3.5 years. Are people just rounding up, or are review bots/fake testimonials getting bad at math? Has anyone else noticed this?

Silly curious question

Paano niyo napapakinis ang puwet niyo? Hahahaha.

Posting if meron ba naka experience ng ganito or atleast be aware if buying lalo na sale lagi sa watsons.

Straightening natural curly hair during rainy season

I know curly hair is really beautiful and I love it. It just takes a long time to do a whole routine and costs a lot of products just for it to get ruined by the weather and humidity.

I got to the point that I just want to straighten my hair from time to time. I tried it before but I can't still find a routine that works for me. It ends up becoming frizzy in just an hour.

For curly girls who tried straightening their hair during this rainy season, is it worth it? And if yes, help a girl out and drop your routine, products and tools you use to make it last long.

My recent empty: Chanel Water Tin

Finally emptied my Chanel Les Beiges Water Fresh Tint after 11 months! 🫶 Every peso I spent was worth it, especially for my 30-something skin. It’s lightweight, easy to blend, does not seep into my small lines… Got mine from ICN duty free so cheaper siya at Php 4100 lang—locally, nasa Php 4650 siya. 💙

faerie glam before/after 12 hours in tokyo’s humid summer (oily skin type) 🍀🎀

❕adding this to every fotd post ill be making from now on : yes i’ve been told that i resemble chappell roan and ry velasco LOL

honestly really proud of the longevity of my makeup ! i like taking selfies before and after spending some time outside and i really love how my glam can pretty much withstand any weather, especially with how brutal and humid the summers in japan have been these past few years. pics 1-3 were from before i left the house (pic 1-2 with an iphone, pic 3 with a digicam). pics 4-5 were taken right when i got home in the evening. i only did one powder touch-up in the middle of the day with some occasional light dabbing with a tissue here and there since i also sweat !

What is the best lip tint in your opinion?

And I don't just mean pinaka long lasting.

I can't find the perfect lip tint that checks all the boxes.

• Detail Jelly blur - too sheer and fades too easily. Onting yap lang wala na sya.

• BLK Airy Matte tint - the best Ive tried so far but it doesn't stain that well. There's a stain if nag fade lang naturally but the stain it leaves is so easy to remove even with just a plain wet wipe

• Velvetint - Also good but same with BLK it doesn't really stain that well plus the shade range isn't that good. It's mostly just different variations of pink with 2 bold reds

• Happy skin Lip Mallow - clings sa dry patches and the shades all look pretty similar once they're on your lips na.

I know there are a lot more lip tints out there pero idk which ones to try first lol

Skin station underarm diode laser

I got burns (according to my derma) from underarm diode laser kase 2 weeks lang interval. This is my 3rd session from them, and I’m not familiar pa sa interval. I informed my aesthetician kung kelan last visit ko with them while prepping me, but “ok lang” daw yun kahit na sabe ko I’ll be back na lang para sure. So ang ending, tinuloy ko na. Nag reason out rin yung sa cashier area na wala daw sila net, after the procedure when I mentioned na I was not informed. Hindi na ko babalik sa skin station kahit naka-package ako.

Okay lang ba mag switch sa wink even sa skin station first 3 sessions ko. And ano thoughts nyo sa wink, I read a lot of positive feedback sa laser nila.
