like on weekends I can actually enjoy doing skincare and makeup, pero weekdays gusto ko lang makaalis ng bahay.
my current 15-minute routine is basically: sunscreen → brows → lip product → hair → larga na
then skincare at night if hindi ako pagod HAHAHA parang mas na-appreciate ko na ngayon yung products na easy to use and easy to fit into my routine kaysa yung super elaborate
just got back from abroad when I suddenly started getting super itchy bites, so first thought ko talaga bed bugs 😭 then I noticed ticks on my dog and realized baka doon ko pala nakuha. pina-stay ko rin kasi siya with a friend while I was away, so baka doon niya rin napick up 😭
already saw my derma and 10 days into dexamethasone + topical ointment. thankfully halos wala na yung kati, pero parang nagd-darken yung bite marks lalo??
for those who've had flea/tick bites before, nag-dark din ba yung marks niyo before they faded? nawala naman ba eventually or nag-iwan talaga ng marks? 😭

ang hirap lang isipin na athletes are expected to represent the country at the highest level while also worrying about basic expenses just to train and compete.
and if this is happening even in volleyball, which is arguably one of the more visible sports here, mapapaisip ka talaga about the athletes in sports that get way less attention and funding.
parang ang dali sabihin na “we’re proud of our athletes” when they bring home medals, pero the support they get while actually preparing to represent the country is a different story.
if this is the reality for Alas Men, what more for athletes in sports that barely get the same visibility?

Hi! Currently working in a private company, first job ko and 5 years na rin ako dito. Recently, my parents have been medyo pushing me to take the Civil Service Exam kasi they think government work is much more stable. Since comms grad din ako and wala naman akong specific license, ito yung route na nire-recommend nila sakin.
I’ve stalled the CSE a few times already kasi honestly, ang daming ganap and hindi ko talaga siya kaya masingit HAHAHA. But I finally gave in to please the parents 😭 I’m taking the exam this Aug 9 and tbh feeling ko babagsak ako kasi goodbye math na talaga ako 5 years post-undergrad HAHAHA (but sana pumasa pa rin! sayang 500!)
Anyway, I just wanted to hear from people who have tried both private/corporate and government work. How different are they in terms of salary, workload, job stability, growth, work culture, etc.? And if you’ve made the switch, did you prefer one over the other?
Medyo nalilito lang din ako because funny enough, when I graduated, I actually had an opportunity to work at our LGU but my parents discouraged me from taking the offer. Now sila naman yung nagpu-push sakin towards government work 😭
I do think government work is something I’d want to explore eventually, but I’m not sure if I actually want it now.
