First three are done with acrylics on canvas where I’m trying to be a little more abstract with things, and the last is with oil - more of an attempt at realism.. (actually the oldest of the four) but yeah let me know what you think? Cheers!

Needed a break from my usual seascapes so I thought I’d pay tribute to what I think was the highlight of my non professional gaming career. Don’t honestly think it will be topped - not because I think games are getting worse but because I’m get older and crankier and things just don’t hit the same…

Anyway just realized that bit of random graffiti in the background is a wasted opportunity… I was thinking rise and shine but you guys probably got something better?
Played it on the orange box back in the day so it’s
Been a long damn time I’ve forgotten most of it…

Also what do you think of the painting so far? Also keen to hear any ideas for the next one. Cheers!

Feedback would be much appreciated? Still trying to find my way with this. Cheers for checking them out!

Included the Jello Bowl from last time… honestly think it’s gotten worse but let me know what you think... ? That broken up foam is not my specialty it seems..

Acrylic on canvas.

Curious what you all think about this one? Was told a couple of days ago while asking for advice on a few paintings (this one included) my strokes or more specifically my way of ‘smearing’ paint looks unprofessional and more akin to play… from someone with over 25 years experience as an artist (whatever that means) honestly my first thoughts were well you’re just a bitter old hag.. but now I wonder if there’s maybe a bit of truth to it?

Let me know what you think? And don’t hold back.. I’m wanting to get as good at this as I can in this lifetime (I’ll probably continue to smear regardless though)

Cause I get stuck in my own head too much… The goal is more stylized rather than total realism. Thanks!

Edit -

All are acrylic on canvas, I am trying to get my work up to gallery level of quality but I’m not really sure if I’m there yet… compositionally, and use of color etc… just anything that stands out to you guys that could be improved I’d love to hear about it? I am aware they are extremely saturated... is that a problem in itself though? Hope that covers everything?

Edit no. 2. Regarding references… I mean I use quite a few but the compositions I try to design myself. Not sure how strict the post requirements here are… ? think that covers everything?
