Welp!

Well, last year I lost a bet to buddy, and so, ahead of catching up with him in a few weeks, I had to shave the beard and moustache it up!
So in order to stop me chickening out, I decided to do a fundraiser for charity.

Well, today was the day that it paid the piper.
After nearly 20 years of not seeing my chin, I can now confirm that it is a reasonably normal looking chin.

It’s a big shock, each time I look in the mirror, and I can’t say I love it, but I’ll get used to the look, and hopefully the beard will grow back better than before!

I got to take my all new Death Guard out to play for the first time last weekend.

4 games, 2 wins and 2 losses, which I was very happy with. More than anything, I’m just glad to get some games under the belt with them.

I tried to go for something a bit more ambitious for this centre piece… I’m quite happy with how he’s turned out!

Been plugging away in this big chap. He’s needed for an event this weekend.
Giving the Death Guard their debut run out. Looking forward to getting them on the table for the first time!

This unit has been a little while in the making. I was unsure on how to bring my vision for the unit into miniature form.
I tried for a slightly more desaturated scheme, to show the Rad and Chemicals of their weapons bleaching their armour.

Between a stupidly busy summer work schedule, I’ve managed to get some paint in my next unit.

I’ve been wanting to try some Mortis Poisoners for a while, so I’m stoked to nearly have this unit at completion.
Just a bit more farting around with details before I can call them done and start on the bases!

Has anyone used Poisoners in your games? How have you found them?

As the title says…
I now have a functional army of the swamp treading Death Guard… 1 Centurian, 2 Tactical Squads, 2 Breacher Squads and a Praevian with his loyal ro-bros.

Currently working on some Mortis Poisoners, then I’ve got some Transports and Heavier Armour to add in too…

Just finished up 20 Breachers (2x10) for my new Death Guard army.
These guys were a slog, not gunna lie. Even at the build stage, I was so lethargic and slow on them. I’m so glad to now see them finished…

8 years game time on Riverbend Springs. Just recently tried the peaceable river and lakes mod, and it’s added a little something special to what was a grass field.

I’m getting a little tired of the map now (not played any other yet on ‘25), but I want to complete both constructible projects before calling it quits.
