It is about crippling insecurity and finding love while living with that. It started out as a straight up americana song that I was going to put on an album in that style but it didn't fit.
I bought a trimui brick, a teensy 4.1 microcontroller and a USB c to micro usb cable and was able to get this working in a few hours after some research and fussing online. I wanted to post it in case anyone wanted to know and didn't. I was not aware it was a thing until I had the idea and found out others have already been doing it. My cost with what I got was like 140 but you could do it with a less pricey handheld and get it done under 100. It still works as a gaming handheld too.
I finally got my home studio set up in a way that allows me to just focus ln making music. I have released 3 songs since this configuration and it feels like I finally cured a mental health issue.
I will attach a video that may give more info. Please watch it to get an idea of my issue. Basically, i have a digitakt with both outputs going to channel 1 and 2 of my mixer. Then from there I have the main outs of the mixer going into channel 7 and 8 of my interface. In reaper I have a stereo track open using 7/8. When I pan those 2 channel right I see a full signal on reaper but there is no sound. If I do the same on the left side it works fine. I am trying to get it set up so I can do live electeonic performance and stuff but this is preventing me from achieving that and I am stumped. I thought it may be phase issues with my speakers and cables but I have already confirmed that isnt the issue. I flipped through all of the panning options and that wasn't it.

When I was a kid I remember laying in bed with the sun coming through the blinds and hitting my face. I would close my eyes and I would see red from looking at the blood through my eye lids. I am trying to capture that experience in this song and am curious if anyone else writes about stuff like this?

I released a song today and am probs gonna pay on Hypeddit to promote starting tomorrow. I have never used it before. I know its not an ideal time to start but I have been working a crazy amount of hours and haven't had the time or energy to do this until tomorrow. Is it best to promote one song at a time if you are just releasing singles? What about promoting old songs? My first song is my favorite that I have released but I am not sure if it is too late to promote it on there.
