Applications Status KGS

I had applied to 2-3 entry level vacancies on KGS around 3 weeks ago via referral. The application status says Recruiter to screen/ to be reviewed since the day I applied. Is there any hope at all?

Pavneet Singh is the biggest hypocrite of all times/ his take on Delhi protest

Pavneet Singh, the UPSC mentor, Ex(pelled) R&AW member is nothing but a bootlicking mouthpiece of govt. I have been taught by him and the persona that he projects over students with his loud voice and crass comments, someone might take him to be a very fearless person. But guess what, the fearless persona is only for the powerless. For those in power, he will do anything to appease them.
Looked at many of his YT videos, wont comment on others but the video posted yesterday on how the protest is a failure and how they couldn’t make Pradhan resign was an absolutely one sided commenting. He only spoke of faults with the protest, not a word for the courage of genz students- who he in his previous videos mentioned are not worth fighting for, not a word against the lack of accountability of Pradhan or the government. When you come with so much responsibility of formulating the opinion of future of India, not narrating a one sided story is the least to expect.

For girls looking for accommodation

Since a lot of you are looking for accomodation and me being someone who recently passed out, wanted to give you some reality check or review of the two accommodations- Nandanvan apartments and Nidhan nest. I hope these experiences help you make a conscious choice while selecting an accommodation for yourself.

Nandavanvan apartments-

Mostly considered good in reviews, but comes with its share of problems.

  1. The safety issue is huge, specially during the night time, either you take the route from behind woodland apartments( which may or may not be allowed to you) else always always ask a male friend to drop you when it gets dark. So many drunkards and creeps roam around staring, commenting and doing gestures to you.

  2. The landlords behaviour changes drastically from the time you came to stay to the time you are leaving the accommodation. They threaten to usurp your security deposit in different ways and trust me its a mental torture. Some ask you to find a replacement for yourself only then you get your money back. Others, like my landlord, kept nit picking petty issues like - flat is not clean in absence of cleaner or using ac for a long time just to keep our deposit money

  3. The night time watchman is a nightmareeee. If you stay here, never, I repeat never engage with him. He harasses you to speak marathi, comments on you if you come late and leaves no stone unturned to comment or scold you for anything he likes. Apparently, he has something against tiss girls. Do not appear before him.

  4. When you come to stay here kindly clarify what all you need to pay above the rent. Because there are a lot of overhead expenses and almost everything is excluded- like gas bill, wifi bill, cleaning, etc. Some landlords even ask you to pay for repairs in the flat
like AC, fridge, bathroom flush tank etc, So clarify everything before hand, only if you are ready to pay the overheads, finalise the deal.

Coming to Nidhaan nest-

  1. Too many restrictions with respect to in time. Parents written permission is required if you get late.
  2. Cooking/ eating / storing of Non veg, eggs etc are strictly not allowed, your food packages are checked before you take them inside.
  3. Too much interference and no concept of privacy- they do a raid sort of thing and check your belongings. You dont get keys to lock your room in your absence, sometimes even wardrobes are requested to be kept open for checking.
  4. Good thing is, there are no unforeseen or overhead expenses that you need to pay. Everything including electricity is a part of rent itself, food being the only exception.

I know I have only written the negatives
, I’m sure there will be a lot of people telling you positive sides of these buildings. I only hope that you guys make a conscious choice and be mindful of the concerns. Needless to say but do take the agreememt very seriously and read and discuss everything before agreement.

Satluj is an absolute masterpiece!

Just finished watching Satluj/ punjab 95. What an absolute masterpiece! Best work of Diljit dosanjh after Chamkila. The film explores harshest of the realities of violence and serves them in our faces. Everyone should watch! Highly recommended.

TF misses me

I havent been in contact with my TF ( male) for two years and I havent really felt much from their end all this while. Nor did they reach out ever. But since the last few days, I know for a fact that this person is missing me. There is no rationale, no logical explanation to this. I just know that he misses me. I FEEL IT IN MY BONES!!

Is this normal? Is the collective energy like that or what is it? Why suddenly now?

Kriti sanon is playing herself in every film. “inframe: Kriti Sanon”

Watched the crappy Cocktail 2 recently and realised that in almost every film, I never stop seeing “Kriti Sanon.”

In Luka Chuppi, Shehzada and Crew, despite the characters being completely different, the voice, dialogue delivery, accent, expressions and overall attitude all feel very similar to me. And in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Cocktail 2 , performance felt too conscious, like I was watching someone \*\*act\*\* instead of naturally becoming the character. It felt more like acting than being.

The costumes, profession, storyline and setting change, but the person underneath rarely does. I never get immersed enough to forget I'm watching Kriti.

Ironically, Bareilly Ki Barfi is the exception for me. That's the one film where she felt genuinely effortless and believable, and I actually saw the character instead of the actor.

Am I alone in feeling this way, or is there another performance of hers where you thought she truly disappeared into the role?
