I have a fence that is set at least 20 feet off the public road. there are no sidewalks in our neighborhood. sometimes, our dogs will charge the fence and bark at people walking by in the street. this is only somtimes, they do not do it to every single person who walks by. they do go out unattended usually for 30 mins or so at a time.

today a neighbor approached complaining he couldnt walk by because of the dogs. again the fence is set at least 20ft back off the public road and the dogs are contained on my property. we told him to buzz off that they are behind a fence and he is fine. AITA?

see comments for a similar fence photo. fence is a sturdy wood cross buck fence with wire enclosing gaps. comes up to mid chest and the dogs have never gotten out. I am certain they are not jumpers & they are not aggressive breeds

Had to tell retention agent I am moving overseas in order to disconnect internet service. Entertained his spiel about the segue discount even though I wasn't intending to use it and was offered to apply the segue discount rate to my last bill. Presented as a one month discount for me and not an entirely new internet order or upgrade with equipment. I said yes based on logic $30 being better than $65. Agent processes this and then tells me if I want the discount I still have to call back to cancel if no one decides to take over the service. I tell him no, in that case I don't want the discount let's just continue with the disconnect. Then says the system has locked him out and he will have to call me back tomorrow as a courtesy to complete the request. We agree to 10am. Get an email later in the day that a wifi router is shipping to my house that I never authorized. Scheduled call time passes the next day, never calls. The words "upgrade" or "new equipment" were never used and information was withheld until he had already submitted the order. John from Spectrum Orlando thanks for nothing!

Having an impossible time with the retention agents and I am seeing some people say they were rejected in person. Not asking anyone here to do it, just asking if it's still possible

Having an impossible time with the retention ass wipes and I am seeing some people say they were rejected in person.

Diagnosed with SSHL in April this year in my left ear only. Was able to get on prednisone right away and start HBOT and have achieved about 80% hearing back. Looking back, I used to have problems with my left ear clogging periodically (like when you're on a plane and have to pop it except it was hard to pop) and sometimes had pulsatile tinnitus in that ear. Is there anything you can think of that led up to your SSHL?

Tried to do Google search for Deadstock stores nearby but not really getting anything. Any hidden gems that aren’t too far to drive? Specifically 2000s if possible

In the middle of interviewing for various Analyst positions and references are my worst nightmare. I don't have any at this point. I have used up all of my older references too many times to ask again and I don't have a way to contact my previous supervisors. I kind of burnt bridges at my last two jobs by resigning without 2 full weeks notice so I don't think I can ask. I know the common answer is friends but what do you do if your friends are stoners and not appropriate to list as references for a finance job? I just had one interview today and I'm being asked to fill out a references form ahead of the 2nd interview next week.

Can you still make improvements after one week on steroids? One week since I woke up with severe hearing loss in my left ear. I’m on the steroid taper and terrified it’s going to come back. I’m starting HBOT tomorrow. The steroids brought back a great deal of my hearing but now there is extremely loud tinnitus in that side. By the evening it is so fatiguing and there’s nowhere to get away from it. Glad to hear again but talking to people and hearing voices in person hurt. It sounds like my head is inside of a bucket. Always gets worse throughout the day. One week ago I was fine and now my reality changed overnight. I’m not sure how to live the rest of life like this.

Diagnosed with SSHL 6 days ago. Currently on the steroid taper and have had some improvement but not really. Dr wanted to wait 3-4 weeks to reassess and possibly salvage with steroid injection in the ear but I kind of don’t want to wait. I asked today if we could do sooner and they said the current course of steroids and waiting is as aggressive as they can be. Is this true? Should I push harder or find a diff doctor to do the injection?
