The event is now Complete

It was one hell of a week. Long days. Very little sleep. Short staffing. Equipment problems. Product loss. Last-minute adjustments. A kitchen that still had regular service to execute while preparing for one of the largest events of our season. We got it done.

I’m a recovering GitHub Copilot user from last month. I have been trained for months to queue up very complex, ultra-long, ultra-dense prompts that can chug for hours without any user interaction. It’s June 2026 and I have to relearn how to use AI coding tools.

Just wondering how many others are in this same boat. I got really really good at maximizing GitHub Copilot’s premium query model. I could get five or six agents going at the same time during the day. I would spend like 30 minutes crafting up the perfect query for the highest end Opus model, then kick it off, watch it to make sure it’s going in the right direction, then work on the next query on another codebase. Last month this was the ultimate way to use GHC. Now obviously this is the worst way to use any AI tool. I’m not complaining, just saying it’s different. Last month I felt like the boss. This month it feels like I’m back into dealing with low level software development shit that I thought AI was supposed to do away with.
