First Listen Ranking/Reaction

I want to preference that when it comes to Bleachers, I have to listen at least 3 times to a track before I start to connect with it. Except You and Forever, I liked that one off rip. I didn't like Dirty Wedding Dress for the first three listens, but then randomly one day I really, really liked it.

Just saying all this because I know this probably won't be my official reaction.

  1. You and Forever

  2. I Can't Believe You're Gone

  3. Dirty Wedding Dress

  4. Upstairs At ELS

  5. Dancing

  6. The Van

  7. I'm Not Joking

  8. We Should Talk

  9. Sideways

  10. She's From Before

  11. Take You Out Tonight

Big fan of everything 7 and above. Every song below are songs I need to listen to a couple more times. I will say I was surprised by Upstairs At ELS because I thought it was Upstairs, at ELS. Like performed there like the two performance videos we got. But here's my reaction.

Bleachers best quality is the fact they can make you appreciate the privilege of life. The way Antonoff writes lyrics is definitely interesting, as it seems he writes lyrics to the song and not lyrics for the song, if that makes sense. In my opinion, it sounds like the band makes music before writing. Not say this is bad in any way. Actually complementing it. It allows for lyrics to stand out.

Dancing had one of my favorite lines in 'Scaling Ice walls", which really ties into my theory this is one of their best lyrical albums. The imagery in Can't Believe You're Gone and Dancing were insane.

Overall, this album will definitely have to grown on me. I haven't heard TTSOOSN (because every Bleachers album I've heard has defined a year for me, and I don't want this year to have the soundtrack of two Bleachers album) for better or for worse as I'm not the biggest fan of country music, but this seems more.. would it be folk music maybe? Not sure, but I like it. The album reminds me of a slower version of Modern Girl, which I for one really like. I really like that this record seems like the band is just doing whatever feels right. My only (picky) complaint is that I wish there was a slower song for the outro, but I'm not complaining at all.

Great job Bleachers, you guys rock 🍅

Just LEGALLY Watched The First 6 Episodes - My Thoughts.

Now that the first 5/6 episodes have released everywhere (to my knowledge), I finally watched them. Here's what I thought.

Favorite - Boba or Bo-bust.

Felt soo much like just a normal episode from the original series. The animation didn't feel off at all, it genuinely felt like a run-of-the-mill Regular Show episode which made me so happy.

Least Favorite - Nap Spot.

The pacing of this episode was a bit wonky in my opinion which really sort of ruined it. Felt less "at home" than the other episodes we've gotten, and there was one specific Mordecai line (when the creature crawled on his foot in the third slumber world) that really stopped me in my tracks because it didn't sound a thing like him. And while typing it, I feel like I'm being really picky but I genuinely have never heard a Regular Show character feel more out of character then that. But despite what I feel was heavy criticism, I did enjoy the episode to a degree. Just didn't have any good dialogue/jokes or really anything worth noting.

But overall, the only thing I would really complain about is the pacing. Seems faster than I remember Regular Show being, but obviously different episodes will pace different. And while I have a word about the animation, it's such a worn down argument. Personally not too much of a fan of Benson's design, but it's nothing to cry about.

Also really love Fix That Tape. We jumped straight back into the show and it just made me feel like Regular Show never left. So glad that Regular Show is back like it never left.

I Just Released An Album, AMA

My name is MiddleMan, and I'm a 15 year old artist.

Over the last 9 months, I produced, wrote, sang, promoted and released an album alongside three low budget music videos.

While the album is my best work to date, it definitely isn't great by any means. However, after working on it for so long I would love to feel important in any way, like by answering questions. Sorry if that sounds selfish. .

I don't have more than a couple people who care about it, and after spending months dedicated to making this happen I would like to feel a little something you know?
