Based on the 6.7 quest the range Columbina and the light realm has might be even larger than previous thought

For context, during the quest they were worried that sending a signal into deep space could be dangerous. Columbina said she could use her power to shield the message even after it left the false sky.

The false sky is potentially the size of a star system, mind you. She also said she could use her power to monitor the nearby area outside the false sky for any danger.

While she admits she has limits, she also says she can keep the message going far enough that anyone who discovers it wouldn’t be able to trace it back to the false sky and by virtue Teyvat.

I also don’t know where the idea that the Light Realm was limited to Teyvat came from.

Nibelung used the power of the Light Realm to create Teyvat’s sun and moon, implying that the Light Realm is not limited to Teyvat and can create objects and place them thousands of miles away from the world itself.

During Version 6, Columbina was even prepared to live on the Frost Moon, which was outside the false sky.

Nibelung left Teyvat to investigate the Abyss. Unless you believe he manually flew through the universe at massively faster-than-light

speeds, he should have retained some method of interstellar travel through keeping his powers.

In the same Moon quest, it is stated that one of the researchers on the moon used a spaceship to travel to the coordinates where the message originated,

which was light-years away. However, they would not have enough fuel to return.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t all dragon technology powered by the Light Realm? That would mean a ship powered by the Light Realm could leave Teyvat and travel multiple light-years away.

In fact, let me add another range upscale.

According to the new quest, the moon is thousands of miles away from Teyvat.

I personally assume the false sky is the size of a star system or larger.

If that’s true, then the Heavenly Principles used their power to fling a moon-sized object from Teyvat to a location outside the false sky, aka beyond the boundaries of an entire star system.

According to the quest, the Frost Moon, despite being outside Teyvat, was completely uncorrupted by the Abyss.

Columbina theorizes that this is either because the Abyss was not paying attention or because the Heavenly Principles did something to protect it.

From a lore perspective, the latter seems more likely because the game states that the Abyss is always watching Teyvat.

There is also a belief, based on some Version 6.7 text, that the Heavenly Principles used their authority to alter the logic of the entire universe in order to hide Teyvat/the false sky and its surrounding areas.

The fact that the Frost Moon remained completely untouched by the Abyss despite being outside the false sky may provide more evidence for that interpretation.

Citations on the moons:

What she loved was the way this world and her home looked now.

Changing it at will just because she could, molding its appearance and rules to suit her own whims…

She felt that the things she wanted to do were almost all within the reach of the three moons'

moving freely between the moon and Teyvat, effortlessly transporting herself and other objects, making flowers bloom more brilliantly, causing fruits to grow fuller.

She Can restore damage received by rewinding time.

She Can alter perceptions and actions by overturning the world's laws using the power of the Three Moons.

The Moons can manipulate gravity and entropy.

Can control fate:

I now hold the threads of fate in my hands. From now on, the new moon shall watch over and illuminate the world below.

Even the three sisters, high in their jade-colored chambers, spinning the silver threads of fate for all living beings...

When it came to ancient peoples and mortals struck down by fate, they were bound in threefold silence."

Aria: Our authority is linked to the most fundamental rules of Teyvat… I suppose it's no wonder that many would covet that power."

Alice: Eons ago, before the Heavenly Principles came to Teyvat, it was the then-three Moon Goddesses who controlled the laws of this world. Life, 'Death,' and such."

The Doctor: Oh dear, have I stunned you into silence? I only wanted to slow down your personal time a little so I could stop your intruder in her tracks. It would have been nice to capture the spy.

The Doctor: I must say, I’m finding the ability to adjust the flow of time rather intriguing.

The moment you closed your eyes, time seemed to grow impossibly viscous, didn’t it?

The Doctor: A whole month passed before you opened your eyes again — but only for you.

No one else was affected. I daresay this is something only a god can achieve.

Traveler: Point taken. You’ve proven, once again, that you have god-tier powers.

The Doctor: Oh, you misunderstand. This wasn’t about proving a point — I was simply testing things out.

I find I learn best by doing. And I have to admit, time is not the easiest dimension to control.

The Doctor: I only wanted you to sleep for a short while, but it ended up lasting an entire month…

Clearly, some finesse is required to wield authority over Time the way I intend.

The Doctor: I hope you’re not angry with me. It was only a month’s discrepancy — nothing too serious.

Had I been off by a year, a decade, or even a century… well, that would have been quite a different story.

Traveler: You could’ve frozen me for millions of years… So much for collaboration. You’re not showing much sincerity.

During Moon-Prayer Night, Dottore “froze time,” affecting everyone except the Traveler.

Watch out, Columbina. He can manipulate space itself."

we've been moved inside another space, and it's sealed off.

Looking at its structure, it seems Dottore intends to trap us here. There's no exit."

Flins: "I've been moved inside another space, and it's sealed off... There's no exit."

Lauma: "Looks like Dottore has opted for a divide and conquer strategy..."

Nefer: "What's this supposed to be? A knockoff version of the space Columbina got trapped in?"

During the battle with Rerir, Columbina used her power to remotely teleport the Traveler, Paimon, Flint, Sandrone, and Pulonia to Silvermoon Hall.

(It feels strange... As if something has grabbed hold of me. Is Dottore now powerful enough to interfere with space itself?)

I shall turn my body into moonlight and pour it over Nodkrai. That power shall protect the land and quietly blend into it, awaiting my soul’s return in the future.

This is why Nodkrai was not always home to Kuuvahki.

It only appeared after I poured my body out upon this land.”

Kuuvahki responds to me because it is me.”

“I could find your sister right now, bring her before you, and make her give you the answers you seek.”

The Doctor: How narrow-minded we all were in the past. Why should the world’s final answer not be the power that predates even Life, Death, Time, and Space? The power of the Trilune?

Traveler: …What are you trying to say?

The Doctor: Oh, don’t be nervous. I was merely considering where your journey should begin.

The Doctor: Perhaps I should send you farther afield. Khaenri’ah, perhaps?

Traveler: Khaenri’ah ceased to exist long ago.

The Doctor: Once again, you fail to grasp the possibilities the Trilune provides. Anything that has existed in the past, I can now recreate.

· Dottore: “The creation of a world is the ultimate scientific experiment.

I have taken my research to the highest level, where I shall be not just a god but also a servant to many sacred spirits.”

Inside these fields: “Dottore is carrying out his cruel experiments on an immense scale,” including “swapping human minds with those of animals.”

·The fields “contain no abyssal energy” but are instead “pure, wild, and untamed” Light Realm energy.

"I don't know... Suddenly, everyone collapsed... Then my line of sight got... lower... I still... have some of my senses left... I gotta... get out of here... I... Ah, aah... cheep"

Albedo:

"He's swapping human minds with those of animals...

Those people may have lost their sense of selves, but they are not fully animals either. If they were, they would have left

but instead, their instincts are driving them to remain by their dead bodies."

Could this be... a false memory?)

No... None of this is real

Addressing Some Common Misconceptions About Genshin Lore

1. Teyvat and Genshin Are Not Interchangeable

Teyvat and the Genshin universe are not the same thing. Teyvat is simply one world located at the edge of a spiral arm:

“Until a faint glimmer pierced her awareness, jolting the voyager from tenfold millennia of meditation.

It came from an unremarkable little world at the edge of the spiral arm — and from the primeval dragon that had been born alongside that world.”

The False Sky is also not a natural part of Teyvat. It was not always present, and based on the lore, its true size likely covers the entire star system that Teyvat resides in:

“It was a newly born, habitable planet.

But now, it lay shrouded behind several impenetrable fields, its primordial flame stripped of the radiance it was meant to bear.”

Genshin refers to the broader universe, while Teyvat is just one world within it.

We already know quite a bit about the wider Genshin universe, including its civilizations, races, and the fact that it is ultimately destined to be destroyed by the Abyss if it’s not stopped.

2. Outlanders Are Not Completely Immune to Teyvat’s Laws

Many people misunderstand what it means to be an Outlander.

An Outlander is simply someone who is not from Teyvat. Being an Outlander does not automatically make you immune to Teyvat’s laws or abilities.

:
“An Abyssal creature that creeps through rifts in the hidden depths, quietly watching this world. Its eerie, faceless form is said to be nothing more than a projection, for its true body exists only as a formless mass of pure Abyssal energy.

Even invaders who seek to claim this world must obey its rules to some extent.

Unless the heavens split open and the earth’s defenses collapse, these star-born outsiders can do little more than linger at the world’s fringes,

whispering their madness into this realm, their attempts to seep inside amounting to nothing…”

“The formless beast that soared through the starless void should never have required organs this world calls ‘wings.’

Those grotesque, profane appendages may have arisen to adapt to the laws beneath the moon, or perhaps they are merely the distorted fragment of its true form that mortal eyes are able to witness.”

Columbina also directly states:

“I lifted some of the restrictions this world placed on you. I trust this will help in your future adventures.”

Another statement says:

“You speak of the universal law created in heaven, the divine laws established in the beginning. No one has seen the eternal law, yet it governs all.”

These shows beings from outside Teyvat are still subject to its laws unless they have specific resistances to it.

, Outlanders generally are not affected by the Ley Lines because they are not native to Teyvat. However, this is not absolute.

The Traveler was affected during the ship sequence in the Sumeru Archon Quest and was also influenced when the Ley Lines were disturbed during one of Dainsleif’s quests.

If an Outlander already has hax or resistance to hax before arriving in Teyvat, then they may resist some of Teyvat’s hax.

But, simply being an Outlander by itself is not enough. Teyvat’s laws and powers can still affect you.

The Traveler has greater resistance than the average Outlander, largely because they are a Descender, whose defining characteristic is their powerful will.

So, in practical terms, if someone like Ronova points at a random outlander and intends to kill them, they are not immune simply because they are from another world.

As they need hax resistance for that.

Though if you can traveler between worlds on average you should meet some condition to have some form of resistance.

In these scenarios, lore-wise, what do you think would happen? And what are some other scenarios you wonder about?

1. If Skirk and Ei each hit each other at full power with their space-cutting attack and clash what would happen.

2. In a scenario where the Stellaron that turned Belobog into an ice-covered world begins affecting one side of the planet while Huitzilopochtli is activated on the other side, what do you think would happen? When they meet in the middle.

Potentially new context on the HP authority of reason from 6.7 leaks

“…A failure. A failure from the very principle itself.
…After applying cognitive contamination to the test subject (a deliberately ugly, oversized statue of Lusarium), the participant

(Researcher Ningshijina) successfully perceived it as a natural part of my laboratory. When I intentionally asked her what she thought of her father’s statue,

she showed clear confusion and understanding, then replied: ‘Isn’t it normal for Uncle Nur’s lab to have a statue?’

…However, once she left the lab, she immediately realized how abnormal the test subject was — and then she hit me with a stick.

…She said I should “do real work.” I was doing real work. Lusarium, look at the daughter you raised.
…Still, this proves something… To achieve

cognitive interference within a certain range, the foundational cognitive principles — the “Logic” that forms common sense — must first cover that range.

…If you want something in a world to be accepted as part of common sense — so that people stop questioning its identity — then “Logic” must first cover that world.

And if you want that range to expand to the entire universe, then “Logic” must cover the entire universe. Obviously, the latter is completely impossible.”

What sequence and pathway do you think the four shades from Genshin would be?

"The Four Great Rulers who serve the Heavenly Principles. They govern Life, Death, Time, and Space.

One wounded by a blade will die from blood loss or infection, and one who falls into a lake will drown in agony.

The elderly wallow in solitude, and the solitary age faster. Eventually, new life is born, only to embark on the same path of suffering.

These four divisions anchor the world and shackle those who live within it.

Yet they themselves transcend its boundaries, squandering the power bestowed upon them by the heavens

The Four Shades do not like being mentioned by their names by any living being,

be it an ordinary human or one of The Seven. They prefer to remain in the shadows as Shades."

There is of course a reason. It was only through painstaking deduction that the detective finally discovered the names of the 'Four Great Rulers,'

learning also that shouting them at the sky would inevitably reduce one to ash."

Asmoday:

Istoria: The divine power of the gods can weave

"emptiness" and "reality" into one another.

Domaim keeper:

A sword of blazing fire was once the symbol of protection.

Empowered by the authority of "Space," it sealed the boundary between eternity and ephemera.

A sword of blazing fire was once the symbol of judgment.

Empowered by the authority of "Space," it barred the path against trespass and profanity.

A sword of blazing fire was once the symbol of admonition. Empowered by the authority of "Space,"

it proclaimed the absolute and infallible will of the divine.

Memory block I think:

Countless replicas of Civilizations drift through this place, suspended in the windless instant before their extinction...

the cold Pillar Hall stands in silent vigil... None can discern the true purpose behind this realm, shaped by the Lord of Emptiness."

None can discern the true purpose behind this realm, shaped by the Lord of Emptiness - colorless, formless, without thought, desire, or will

Asmoday is the Creator of Nihilita, Melanta, Dex, and other Domain Keepers within the Temple of Space and has all their abilities to a greater degree

Dex and temple of space mechanics:

The Keeper who prowls within the Temple of Space and can turn living creatures into sand.

In specific areas, Dex can seize objects made from quicksand, and deconstruct them into their original quicksand state.

When Tapping again to release, new structures can be constructed.

Dimensional manipulation:

the Traveler, a three-dimensional being, can be transformed into a two-dimensional entity, allowing them to enter a two-dimensional world

Paimon explicitly calls this as dimensional manipulation

Asmoday can then paintings into reality, or revert reality back into paintings.

If you flip through nearby pages to enter different dimensions, you might find the original forms of said apparition.

innovation. Any form of change or development will passively reverted back to its original state.

Melanta can also return everything in the temple to its original form

Within the Temple of Space, you can occasionally find special spaces that have been turned into pages.

At a certain distance, Dex can turn these pages, folding them halfway or folding them all the way in half to open gateways to other dimensions

Drag Spacelike Vector(s) to the appropriate position(s) to stretch the display case permanently.

With Dex's help, seize and unfold the paintings to construct paths that didn't exist before and escape the spreading ink.

By manipulating Spacelike Vector(s), Dexcan distort and stretch certain bridges in the Temple of Space horizontally.

Within the Temple of Space, you can occasionally find Restoration Cores that store spatial manipulation data.

By reverse-engineering these cores, Dex can unfold and restore space that was previously folded.

When adventuring in the book, you can also call upon Dex for help to change the story's direction.

Drag matching Anomalies within the story to fold the space between them. Click the fold point again to restore the space to its original form.

Within the Temple of Space, you will sometimes find paintings that have pockets of space sealed inside them.

By overlapping the image in the painting with the corresponding scene in reality,

Dexcan restore the space trapped within the painting and manifest objects from the painting into the physical world.

The space that separates the highest point, the 'Hall of Neither Being nor Non-Being,' from the Hall of Boundless Void is called the 'Corridor of Nothingness.'"

This is how Melanta delivers punishment: Sealing people into paintings and smushing them into ink blots."

Istaroth... stored them within the Three Deadly Selves that Zibai had prepared beforehand, which, when reunited, could restore Zibai to life.

In order to preserve Taiguang, her Heavenly Soul, it was placed within the first

Venti... could erase the Mare Jivari from the timeline using the Authority of Time."

Ronova:

The laws that governing Life and Death are among the most unyielding in this world

The fate of all living beings rests solely in your hands."

"Before the fire-stealing sage could speak, the god who pronounced death came forth without warning and showed the human Archon the arc of fate and the future."

Her hax passively kills you if you touch her or are near her:

"A beam of red light falls from the sky, destroying the tree and turning the sky red.

The woman's body twists and shreds into nothingness." —

"A crow flying in the red sky is killed and transmuted with its essence absorbed into Ronova due to touching her as she descends upon the destroyed tree

She Can destroy non-living thingsand even pocket dimensions using her death authority.

"Ronova: 'It's time I put this space out of its misery.'" — The Gods' Limits

"As the space is destroyed, the cube that once encompassed that space disintegrates." — The Gods' Limits

Resurrection: Ronova resurrected Xbalanque in the future of Natlan

Her immortality curse: This is a way of branding targets at the level of the world's fate itself.

When a god applies a curse, it takes effect at a higher level of reality than the individual.

The fate of all living beings rests solely in your hands."

When it comes to lore or powerscaling discussions , what are some things that currently irritate you?

For me personally, I have a few.

  1. People swearing up and down that the Genshin and HSR universes are the same universe. I personally disagree with this theory since the descriptions contradict each other, but I understand people have their own views.

What irritates me is when people make the most random headcanons without thinking about them for even a second.

For example, saying Teyvat is in the Simulated Universe or the Sea of Quanta, or that the Abyss is the Honkai or Nihility.

Yes, I understand not everyone is a lore player, but you can literally see the characteristics of the Abyss if you pay close attention.

The Abyss is a conscious entity that knows enough about humans to actively manipulate them.

I also disagree with it being the Honkai because we literally know its cause: the fate of the universe being severed, with it being all the fates that never came to be.

It irritates me because it feels like people who say this just post the first comments that come to their minds without even checking what the lore actually says.

This one comment in particular just pissed me off. It’s akin to providing a flat-earther evidence that the Earth is round, only for them to say that since the Earth is flat, that evidence is impossible while literally contradicting themselves.

The comment: “If the GI universe is dying, then the HSR universe would know that since HSR and GI are in the same universe. Teyvat is more likely Amphoreus.”

2.: The whole “their powers only work in a certain location and don’t work outside of it” argument in cross-verse matches.

Even if a power is limited to a certain location, it should still be counted as working, because why even have the argument in the first place if a character is nerfed?

I always assume that in cross-verse matches, it takes place in a neutral location where everyone is at full power and can fight at their best, because otherwise, what’s even the point of the match?

3.:

People forgetting that you don’t have to scale to someone to beat them. Just because Character X has the potential to destroy 10 billion universes doesn’t mean they can do it in a combat-applicable manner.

They might not be able to instantly use their peak dc in combat, nor does every single attack they throw scale to their peak destructive potential, or their durability scale to their maximum power.

While there are characters who can use their peak AP or DC in a combat-applicable manner, it’s only some characters.

I find it baffling how people can’t understand a concept this simple. If Character X at their peak has an attack power of 10, but in an actual fight most of their attacks are only around a level 3,

with their durability and speed also being around 3, and they can only use their level 10 attack as an ultimate move or something they can’t use consistently, then you don’t have to scale to a 10 to beat that character.

Yet the amount of people I see scaling a character to another character’s peak power just because they fought them is baffling.

It’s the kind of thing that causes “star-level Bronya” arguments to exist. It doesn’t matter what your peak is if, in an actual fight, most of the attacks you can use are far below that and your durability doesn’t scale to your peak. This isn’t even taking into account hax and hax resistance.

4.: The “this verse scales higher than that verse, so every character from this verse will always beat characters from that verse” argument is just silly because it depends on the characters in question.

It’s like saying a random normal human in Dragon Ball solos One Piece — it’s just ridiculous.

While Verse X at its peak might scale higher overall, if a character from Verse Z has feats or abilities that imply they would beat a certain character from Verse X in a fight,

then they aren’t going to lose just because they come from a weaker verse overall.

If you think the character from Verse X wins, explain why beyond just saying “their verse is stronger.”

  1. People who underestimate just how much of a role hax can play, below Tier 1. A character’s scale is not just DC or AP; it doesn’t take into account hax or other factors.

At a certain level of hax, if your opponent lacks a meaningful way to affect you while you have plenty of ways to one-shot them, then you will win even if they scale higher than you in raw stats.

The reason certain characters are so strong is because they have both good hax and good stats.

In my opinion, it’s better to have extremely good hax but no stats than to have extremely good stats but no hax.

u/Apart_Suggestion5925 — 1 month ago

With all the newly updated lore as of now, how would you rank these characters’ hax based on their quality?

Herrschers from Honkai Impact 3rd

The Moon Sisters, the Shades, The sovereigns and the Sinners from Genshin Impact

The Thronedians from Wuthering Waves

Titans and known Emanators from Wuthering Waves

Many of these characters possess similar or even identical types of hax. For example, several characters here have space manipulation, and others have time manipulation.

Examples:

How would you rank the Herrscher of the Void, the Shade of the Void, Imperator, Surtalogi, and Janus when it comes to space manipulation?

How would you rank the Herrscher of Death, the Shade of Death, full-power Rerir, and the Death Titan in terms of death manipulation?

The main focus should be what the character can do with their hax, including:

•	Its limitations

•	Its applications

•	How freely it can be used

Essentially when it comes to powers and abilities how would you rank them.

Mydei immortality

it says that to permanently kill him, you need to destroy his 10th vertebra, I believe.

But if he is hit with an attack that completely disintegrates him and also destroys his 10th vertebra, wouldn’t that permanently kill him by default? Or even a strong AoE attack?

Something else I wonder is whether he needs his soul to remain intact for his immortality to work, because in the 3.2 quest we see his spirit after he was killed. So, if he is hit with an attack that erases his body, mind, and soul, would that permanently kill him?

Or if an attack specifically targets and destroys the soul, would his soul reform, or would he just die?

u/Apart_Suggestion5925 — 2 months ago

What Teyvat Would Need to Be Destroyed

I have a question: would a non-conceptual attack — for example, a regular nuke with a range covering all of Teyvat, a meteor falling down, or a massive energy or physical explosion — actually be able to destroy Teyvat?

The Heavenly Principles control and rewrote all the laws in Teyvat:

Alice: “Eons ago, before the Heavenly Principles came to Teyvat, it was the then-three Moon Goddesses who controlled the laws of this world.”

“That princess of (...) answered thusly: ‘You speak of the universal law created in heaven, the divine laws established in the beginning. No one has seen the eternal law, yet it governs all.’”

Even invaders who seek to claim this world must obey its rules to some extent.

Similarly, formless beasts that soar through the starless void develop grotesque appendages as adaptations to conform to Teyvat’s laws.

I’m curious whether an attack that doesn’t work on at least a conceptual level — unlike Phlogiston or the Abyss — would actually be able to destroy the planet of Teyvat.

Since all the laws were rewritten and everything is suppressed by those laws, it might imply that non-conceptual attacks would also be suppressed.

u/Apart_Suggestion5925 — 2 months ago

What are some questions or things you wonder about regarding characters’ abilities or how certain things work in Genshin, Wuwa,HSR, and HI3?

For me personally:

Mydei’s immortality — it says that to permanently kill him, you need to destroy his 10th vertebra, I believe.

Something else I’m curious about is Cerydra’s authority. Isn’t it limited by what she can sacrifice, and most importantly, by the scepter itself? If she faces someone she cannot sacrifice something of equal value to defeat,

wouldn’t the ability become useless? Or what if someone’s power exceeds what the scepter allows her to affect? This might also apply to Cipher, with her lies being limited to what the scepter can achieve,.

Something else I’m curious about is the nature of the Shades and Columbina.

The Shades are embodiments of concepts within the Human Realm, so doesn’t that mean they have Type 8 immortality as long as the Heavenly Principles exist?

Even if they are destroyed, the Heavenly Principles could potentially recreate them, though it probably depends on how they were destroyed.

I’m also curious whether the physical forms the Shades have are just projections of their true forms, since Istaroth and Time are treated as interchangeable.

But I’m not fully sure about this, because the Shade of Life’s body was reduced to just a heart, which might imply the body isn’t merely a projection. Then again, we do not know exactly what caused that state.

I’m also curious about how effective physical or energy-based attacks — or generally non-hax attacks — would be against them. Since they transcend Teyvat’s laws, wouldn’t attacks operating under those laws be ineffective against them?

As for Columbina, her current body is made out of Light Realm energy, so if her form is destroyed, can she recreate herself? Or does she still require a physical form? Could she exist purely as Kuhvaki energy, becoming formless or invulnerable?

Something else I’m curious about is whether the Shade of Void’s abilities operate on a higher-dimensional level.

In the Temple of Space, the Traveler can turn into a 2D being, and it is explicitly referred to as dimensional manipulation.

Combined with how the gods’ curses are said to occur on a higher level of reality than the target, and how the Shades transcend the boundaries they anchor, I could see it being higher-dimensional.

The Moon’s reflections also seem definitely higher-dimensional. I can’t really see something like that being only 3D.

I’m also curious whether the true form of the Abyss is higher-dimensional.

Another thing I wonder about is what it actually takes to fully kill a Sinner. Surtalogi is described as:

“Of course. As a higher being, physical form is a triviality to him.” Does this mean that even if a Sinner’s body — or even their soul — is completely erased, they can still constantly reform themselves, meaning you would need to target their true essence in order to actually affect or kill them?

· “In 14 billion ‘years’ of darkness, it is the sum of all that is destined to happen and all that never will. Partings, encounters, and partings once more; birth, destruction, and birth yet again.”

· “In the darkness of 93 billion ‘years’ of light, all existence holds meaning unknown to any—without which this universe would seem too solitary.”

I assume these numbers represent the actual size and age of the universe, as they are too specific to be merely symbolic, although this is mainly speculation, and I’m not entirely sure.

But more concretely, here is evidence that it is billions of years old:

HEAVENSENT FRAGRANCE: Over billions of years, the fires of civilization lit up the endless stars, and ships wove through countless gates of stars.

State of the Universe:

The universe outside Teyvat is dying. This seems to be due to its fate being severed.

From HEAVENSENT FRAGRANCE:

That is, until the fate of the cosmos was severed thread by thread, and giants and dwarfs alike met the same end.

At first, it was no more than a mass hysteria, or the fading of a dream.

Then, in the silence of the night, an entire civilization was erased.

Next, extinguished dwarf stars streaked across the firmament like tears, and the embers of burned-out suns warped the very fabric of space.

It was only when entire galaxies evaporated into a void deeper than darkness that people finally came to realize the scale of the catastrophe.

· From The Little Witch and the Undying Flame, Volume 6:

· “The entire cosmos is going to die soon. Things peaked not long ago and are about to go south very fast.”

· “Many stars across the cosmos have gone out. I do not know how much time is left,” Octavia said, “so I wanted to come back to see you.”

· Durin’s Weapon Lore:

· “You must know that in a universe approaching its end, every star that has not yet been extinguished is precious…”

· “I never imagined that in a star region long deemed a dark domain, there still existed a living world.”

· The Sword of Descension:

· “But to draw steel against the law of the universe that ‘all who exist must one day perish’… surely it must have seemed the height of folly.”

· “But really, when one is faced with such a final fate, when up against the star-devouring darkness…”

· The Wings of Descension:

· “But when you face a force enough to destroy one, or even two worlds…”

· “When you face a boundless darkness, or an all-consuming radiance… But that was one world ago.”

· Finale of the Deep galleries:

· “I have seen the lightless end, tearing through star clusters like a spindle among silken threads.”

· “And yet, my kind, gentle king, will you still refuse to abandon your people? Forsake this world, fated for ruin, and journey with me beyond the stars.”

· “I have seen how the cold tide of chaos drowns out all songs, so that good and evil alike vanish into silence.”

· As Heaven and Earth Are Made Anew:

The true difficulty lay in finding a world with potential. Without that, destruction would catch up all too soon.

Note: The Abyss is likely the entity responsible for destroying the Genshin universe and what ultimately destroyed the world of the Traveler twins, the Primordial One, and Octavia. Though some civilizations, such as Skirk’s people, coexisted with it somewhat.

\---

Level of Advancement:

Some civilizations are advanced enough for interstellar travel. Examples include:

· The merchants and army who visited Skirk’s planet.

· The Traveler twins and their spaceships.

Some civilizations are also advanced enough to create “a weapon forged using the pooled resources of an entire star system.”

The Voyager could also make the SAMPO (Subatomic Assembling Mass-energy Patterning Orb), which can:

· Reconstruct matter at a subatomic scale.

· Transmute matter into stable energy to be released in an unknown form (the relevant description has been lost).

· The Traveler Ship: The fine details of the lithosphere, atmosphere, or biosphere ultimately mattered little. Reshaping terrain, adjusting the air, rebuilding an ecosystem — these were simple tasks for a pioneer vessel meant to bear the spark of civilization.

A star’s position, its distance, or its lifespan might pose a minor challenge, yet even those had solutions.

The most advanced civilization we have seen is the Voyager civilization, which was advanced enough for this:

HEAVENSENT FRAGRANCE:

The descendants of the ancients rose in defiance, and over the millions of years that followed, conquered time and space in turn.

To escape the annihilation that would one day engulf them all, those once-passionate pioneers sealed off the pathways that spanned the cosmos.

They retreated to the hollow heart of the star clusters, to the lightless edges of perception, as they clutched the last faint trace of hope.

The first people who had mastered leptons sent forth chroniclers toward the limits of baryonic matter, then in the hope of finding answers at the very last particle of existence.

Perhaps this so-called race that had transcended time was, in the end, nothing more than prisoners keeping vigil over a graveyard of stars.

Despite their knowledge that the darkness which erases existence itself was an inevitable end beyond all return,

the chroniclers, the last descendants of the ancients, remained faithful to their mission, engraving every star into memory.

Civilizations/Worlds in the Genshin Universe:

· Skirk’s People: They originated from an unnamed planet that was home to people with the ability to adapt to any type of environment or energy source.

At some point, a “merchant ship” from a neighboring planet investigated Skirk’s planet and deemed the inhabitants a “potential threat” due to their special adaptation ability. It is unknown what happened to the planet after Skirk escaped with the help of Surtalogi.

The chroniclers: the last descendants of the ancients, remained faithful to their mission, engraving every star into memory.
And this voyager, newly awakened from the void, was but one among those countless chroniclers.

· The Travelers’ Original Planet: “Once, (she/he) had been a scion of a lost, glorious kingdom, bearing the weight of an entire world.” This planet fell to destruction because of a “star-devouring darkness/abyss,” starting their travels between various worlds in a spaceship.

· Octavia’s Original Planet: Octavia is a member of the Hexenzirkel, where she goes by the codename “O.” Little is known about Octavia other than her self-insert character in The Little Witch and the Undying Fire.

She is a good friend of the “legendary old witch” (likely Andersdotter), who has seen many worlds and told many tales about the “sky beyond the sky.”

Her home was destroyed at some point in the past, but she lacked the courage to fight back and instead took up a life of eternal wandering.

· The Primordial One’s Original World / The Original World of Humanity: “For this was the new world it had chosen for the children of humanity, and by its design both earth and sky would be remade anew.”

Andromeda Empire: This is because the author’s portrayal of a certain princess from a galactic empire caused significant resentment from the real princess who inspired the character.

Worlds Octavia visited:

189th world:

Cloud Edge's Glory:

When Octavia's journey reached the 1,896th planet, the local civilization was still in the classical era of city-states featuring the use of bronze tools.

The city-states were constantly at war with each other and had long been mired in conflict.

The arrival of enemies from the Abyss further exacerbated the distrust and division among the city-states.

To end this chaos, they decided to hold sacred tournaments during ceremonies honoring their heroes, with the one who obtained the most crowns becoming the leader of all city-states,

responsible for quelling internal strife and repelling external enemies. Upholding the tradition of respecting all mighty warriors,

Octavia, who had descended upon this world, was invited by the city-states to participate in this tournament.

As a witch capable of traveling among the stars, she won every competition she entered without question.

Her image, clad in the Cloud Edge's Glory Set, was immortalized in a statue that still stands in the hall of sacred tournaments, and also in Octavia's memory.

An unknown world:

After witnessing many prosperous civilizations, Octavia unexpectedly arrived at a planet in its "Primitive Age."

Though the people here had not yet developed an advanced civilization, they possessed customs of communicating with the wilderness and hearts filled with the spirit to challenge fierce beasts and disasters.

Some natives saw Octavia as a dangerous outsider, greeting her with spears and flying stones, though she admired their courage. Another group politely invited her to feast, asking her about the mysteries of the stars in clumsy but sincere language. Having no interest in playing the role of a god, Octavia simply documented their distinctive attire, shared a few fairy tales with them, and left their natural evolution untouched.

1,217th world:

Among the endless reaches of the universe, some worlds hum with extraordinary mystical powers, while others remain untouched and ordinary.

The 1,217th planet visited by Octavia was one such unremarkable world — a place where humans were born without the gift of flight. However, it was precisely this invisible restraint that kindled their boundless desire to soar.

Their flying machines were crude and offered scant protection, but still, they pursued the skies with unwavering resolve.

As they would say, "Once you've experienced flight, your eyes will always turn skyward. Having touched its vastness, you'll carry a lasting longing for that freedom."

While observing the 1,217th planet, Octavia discovered that due to the lack of extraordinary powers and space technology, its inhabitants' understanding of the universe and the microscopic world was based largely on limited observational data and mathematical deductions.

Nevertheless, their insights, though abstract, were nothing short of profound, and the most accomplished among their astronomers were capable of predicting cosmic anomalies through mathematical calculations.

However, as an extraterrestrial observer, Octavia provided no path forward. Just as the precept, passed down through generations of sages clad in star-patterned robes, goes: "Truth itself is easy to understand; the key lies in the process of discovery."

In her pursuit of starkly different scenery, Octavia would sometimes shift her activity to the night to circumvent the crowds.

This allowed her to encounter a mysterious profession on the 1,217th planet: the Owl Envoy.

The Owl Envoys held an enigmatic occupation and used the image of a small, agile owl as their emblem.

They operated only during dusk and night, traversing all kinds of rugged terrain with ease thanks to their extraordinary agility and silent movements, facing potential dangers with formidable strength. In a world without supernatural elements or advanced technology, their aura of mystery and power led Octavia to associate them with the messengers of Natlan.

66th world:

On the 66th planet, a world perpetually shrouded in a purple-black haze of "Misfortune," dwells an active group known as "Auspimancers."

They are far more than geomancers in any traditional sense — they are strategists who provide their clients with tactical assistance and help them navigate through crises.

Renowned for their ability to steer through peril toward stability, it is widely believed that they are able to repel "Misfortune" itself by reading the hidden energies of the land.

It was the leader of these auspimancers, the most observant person on the planet, who first discovered that Octavia came from interstellar space.

Thanks to her mediation and guidance, Octavia was able to establish contact with the local inhabitants without any friction or conflict whatsoever.

Even for the seasoned traveler Octavia, the 66th planet stood out as extraordinary. Perhaps a form of "convergent evolution" had shaped its civilization, for some of its customs echoed those of Liyue in Teyvat.

At the turn of the year, both cultures adorned themselves with metallic coins symbolizing wealth, a gesture meant to usher in prosperity.

Yet the planet's New Year was far longer than Liyue's — sometimes lasting an entire stellar year.

Its length was measured by the "Nian beast's presence," and only when this presence peaked could the year be considered complete.

Octavia noted that the so-called "Nian" beast resembled certain abyssal creatures. The circular coins with square holes, employed as decorations,

seemed to function much like Liyue's Adepti Sigils, capable of dispelling the ominous force locals called "bad luck."

Recognizing the special significance of this attire, Octavia deliberately added it to her collection of firsthand experiences.

Legends tell that when the violet-black shroud of misfortune lifts, the skies of the 66th world change in a heartbeat, dark clouds giving way to a brilliant dawn.

In that fleeting moment, scarlet clouds and freely flowing skies come to embody hope and good fortune, their forms echoed throughout local dress and ornamentation. Wary of drawing suspicion as an outsider, Octavia embraced these symbols when designing an outfit meant to follow local custom.

666th world:

As the decisive clash erupted on the 666th planet, the kingdom's twin "Lazurite Swords" plunged into the heart of the fell dragon's territory, nearly severing its lifeline before falling to an inexhaustible swarm.

Just as all hope seemed lost, their lieutenants arrived with Octavia's backing. Tearing through the last obstacle,

they decapitated the fell dragon and returned the letters their commanders had penned, a sign that the day of sacrifice was over.

In the wake of their victory, the twin "Lazurite Swords" stepped down from their roles, bequeathing their legacy to their two lieutenants.

As the new generals took command, they committed themselves to sweeping away the last of the foe. Elements of the fell dragon's form were dismantled and forged into ornaments for their new armor,

serving as an unparalleled deterrent against the monsters that remained.

Octavia would always remember the heroic sight of the two new generals — including the silhouette of their slightly trembling hands as they signed the papers to pay her spaceship's damages in full.

For some unknown reason, the 666th planet harbors a deadly evil power that has caused monsters to ravage the land unchecked, and for decades, the "Kingdom's" troops have struggled to hold the line against these monsters.

However, a certain unit led by two field-grade officers has succeeded in penetrating the enemy line on several occasions.

Drawing on discoveries from a long-lost civilization made by two historians, and on calculations from the visitor Octavia, the two commanders were able to pinpoint the monsters' lair — the very same monsters that had caused the downing of Octavia's ship, it turns out.

67th World

Landscape & Environment

“On the 67th planet Octavia visited, advanced technology has brought evergreen crops that thrive year-round, greatly diminishing the effects of withering and decay on agriculture. Yet naturalism hasn’t completely yielded to technology. Unmodified ordinary plants—that grow, mature, and fade with the seasons—are still widely preserved as a vital part of the world’s original landscape.” (Autumn Veins description)

Three seasonal celebrations:

· Autumn/Harvest Season: “The autumn season of maturity and harvest, like on many similar worlds, is celebrated and cherished. Gold and orange, as primary colors, symbolize fruits and often evoke a sense of harvest, while azure represents vitality.” (Autumn Veins)

· Spring Festival: “Like many civilizations across the universe, they had a clear concept of ‘seasons.’

Though expressed in different languages, the season when crops begin to sprout and grow was always given imagery similar to ‘spring.’ The people here likewise held lively celebrations before the arrival of spring to express their good wishes for the future.” (Prelude to Spring)

· Winter Gathering: “When it comes to winter festivals, there’s no celebration without a crackling hearth, a hearty feast, beautifully wrapped gifts, and—most importantly—joyful songs shared in reunion!” (Winter’s Warmth)

Memorable Encounter

“On that winter day, she arrived at a small, unfamiliar town and hesitantly asked for a place to stay. A kind family welcomed her with warm hospitality. The humble couple served her a generous meal, while their lively children performed melodious songs for her.” (Winter’s Warmth)

Octavia: “Before leaving, she gifted them the sweetest red fruit she had found on this planet as a token of gratitude.”

\---

93rd World – “The Academy Planet”

“Though they possessed the ability to modify their entire planet and merge it into a giant academic collective…” (Astral Beacon)

“…the civilization to which the 93rd world—the Academy Planet—belonged still placed strong emphasis on basic geology and mapping.” (Astral Beacon)

“Of all the worlds Octavia visited, the 93rd was the most peaceful.” (Dawn’s Visionary)

“This was a pure Academy Planet with an impeccable scholastic atmosphere and living conditions, capable of constantly producing talent with wisdom, skill, and good conduct in equal measure for the civilizations under its purview.” (Dawn’s Visionary)

The phrase “for the civilizations under its purview” suggests the Academy Planet might serve as an educational hub for multiple civilizations.

Cultural Practices

Graduation ceremonies: “This Dawn’s Visionary set is, in turn, based on the most luxurious of graduation gowns. It reminds Octavia of the time she attended three graduation ceremonies in one day back in her younger years…” (Dawn’s Visionary)

Octavia Encounter

“A young man and woman saw through her. As it turned out, they had long yearned for both the skies and adventure, and while traveling through the clouds in a hot air balloon, they witnessed Octavia as she landed.” (Painted Skies)

“They longed for a life like hers, and thus agreed to keep her secret. Octavia, for her part, saw a certain romanticism in their attitude, along with similarities to people she once knew. Thus, she promised to take them on an interstellar graduation trip once they had completed their key studies…” (Painted Skies)

This reveals that students have awareness of interstellar travel.

“It reminds Octavia of the time she attended three graduation ceremonies in one day back in her younger years, along with classmates whose faces had grown less distinct in her mind over time…” (Dawn’s Visionary)

118th World – “The Forest of Steel”

Landscape & Environment

Complete urbanization: “After seven days of travel, Octavia wrote the following comment for the 118th world she discovered by chance: ‘The Forest of Steel.’ This was no exaggeration—cities sprawl across this world’s continents, weaving a seamless ‘civilized existence’ using steel, concrete, and strict regulations.” (Offbeat District)

Social Dynamics

“Within a broader system of ‘civilized life’ that placed immense value on work, the people of the 118th planet often suffered from health issues linked to sedentary lifestyles and excessive overtime.” (Orange Passion)

Octavia’s personal experience: “Octavia was not here long before she had received over 100 recruitment messages from professional headhunters, alongside double that number of health supplement ads.” (Orange Passion)

Counter-Culture Movements

Artistic rebellion: “Yet this order has also given rise to artistic groups who stand against the rules, the rising stars of which use this ‘Offbeat District’ to showcase their striving for freedom…” (Offbeat District)

Music performance: “Octavia, on a whim, visited a popular music performance venue. There, she mingled with the enthusiastic audience and enjoyed a vivid array of performances.

A young but passionate duo left a deep impression on her. It was said that once they made their name in the two-thousand-seat venue, they would step onto even grander stages, aiming to hold concerts in arenas with tens of thousands of spectators.” (Radiant Melody)

Sports & Competition

“Octavia encountered fierce fighting tournaments taking place within the steel forests of the 118th world. The trophy the contestants fought for would add an important feather to their city’s cap.” (Fervent Fighter)

Octavia’s Reflection

“Years later, when Octavia came across the costume records, she couldn’t help but wonder if they had reached their goal.” (Radiant Melody)

273rd World

Landscape & Environment

“Situated on the edge of its stellar system with insufficient sunlight, its land remains frozen in ice and snow all year round…” (White Flash)

“When the planet reached its farthest orbital point, the temperature dropped by another thirty percent, approaching the lowest point of particle kinetic energy.” (Frosty Plume)

The phrase “approaching the lowest point of particle kinetic energy” indicates temperatures nearing absolute zero.

Geographic features: “In top-tier competitions, athletes sprint down from mountain peaks that pierce through the clouds with slopes almost vertical…” (White Flash)

Civilization Level & Technology

“The severe winter was one of their greatest adversaries, but it also witnessed their complete establishment on every star in the stellar system.” (Frosty Plume)

“For this reason, people would hold elegant celebrations on the coldest snow night, and the attire of the two hosts was thus etched in Octavia’s memory…” (Frosty Plume)

Skiing culture:

“The most popular sport here is extreme skiing. In top-tier competitions, athletes sprint down from mountain peaks that pierce through the clouds with slopes almost vertical, diving at speeds faster than birds can follow, leaving only trails of pure white…” (White Flash)

“Octavia purchased this ski suit—youthful in style yet exceptional in performance—and attempted a dive that broke the local sound barrier.” (White Flash)

“When the planet reached its farthest orbital point, the temperature dropped by another thirty percent, approaching the lowest point of particle kinetic energy. Even her coat, which could withstand gunfire and molten iron, could hardly endure this ordeal.

Just then, a classical and elegant manor appeared before her, where two young hosts warmly graciously invited her inside and welcomed her to an elegant ball.” (Frosty Plume)

Symbolic Significance

“As it turned out, this place was regarded as a milestone for the civilization’s triumph over harsh environments.” (Frosty Plume)

712th World – “The Paradise Planet.”

Landscape & Environment

“Every city in this world was a holiday haven with a unique theme.” (Scarlet Shade)

“Octavia served as a consultant on the 712th world she visited for 10 years.” (Fairyland Prom)

“While touring the 712th world, the Paradise Planet, Octavia encountered a phenomenon known as the ‘devaluation of happiness’: constant exposure to pleasure and entertainment gradually raises one’s threshold for happiness. As such, a suitable amount of tranquility is necessary for both guests and the planet itself.” (Mystic Forest)

Octavia’s Design Solutions

Color psychology framework: “…the most important of which was the influence of color on emotion. At that time, two brilliant artists stood up to present Octavia with a multitude of fantastical plans.” (Chromatic Artisan)

“What should the main visual style of a theme park that wanted to appear solemn, elegant, mysterious, and opulent all at once be?” (Steamwave Chronicles)

“Octavia’s answer contained many elements derived from Fontaine in Teyvat and from local historical ‘technical aesthetics,’ which proved incredibly popular.” (Steamwave Chronicles)

This shows:

· Octavia actively uses Teyvat as design inspiration for other worlds.

Themed Districts

Ninja City (Inazuma-inspired):

“Once employed as a consultant, she would tell the people tales of distant Teyvat, and the people of the Paradise Planet would make special modifications to their pre-existing ninja city based on the Inazuman stories she told…” (Scarlet Shade)

Fairytale Theme Park:

“By the time she parted ways with them, the fairytales she told the children had already become popular, with many novels, picture books, and film adaptations, as well as a theme park of just the right scale.” (Fairyland Prom)

Timeline:

· Octavia tells stories to children
· Stories become novels and picture books
· Film adaptations are produced
· A theme park is constructed
· All within 10 years

Mystic Forest (Sumeru-inspired):

“As such, Octavia designed a serene ‘forest’ with the rainforests of Sumeru in Teyvat in mind—a place where people can slowly relax through a leisurely journey of exploration.” (Mystic Forest)

Steamwave Chronicles (Fontaine-inspired):
“Octavia’s answer contained many elements derived from Fontaine in Teyvat and from local historical ‘technical aesthetics.’” (Steamwave Chronicles)

Direct referral:

“After Octavia was accidentally struck by a high-speed comet, she followed the recommendations of the residents of the 712th ‘Elysium Star’ and made several transfers before arriving at the 722nd planet, the ‘Sanctuary of Recovery.’” (Healing Heart)

“Octavia was also invited to the opening ceremony, where she personally chose the most suitable outfits for the young men and women playing the leading roles…” (Fairyland Prom)

722nd World – “The Sanctuary of Recovery”

Civilization Level & Technology

“Here, the civilization’s finest doctors and nurses can treat various common—and even peculiarly shaped and fundamentally different—forms of life.” (Healing Heart)

The phrase “peculiarly shaped and fundamentally different forms of life” indicates that the Genshin universe contains biological diversity.

Cultural Values

“For some highly advanced civilizations, medical care has become an extremely important industry.” (Healing Heart)

The phrasing “for some highly advanced civilizations” implies that not all advanced civilizations prioritize medical care equally.

Octavia’s Experience

“After Octavia was accidentally struck by a high-speed comet…” (Healing Heart)

Given her survival, this reveals she has extreme durability.

“Octavia experienced what she calls ‘retirement life’ here for a while. Her wounds soon healed, and she was cared for with kindness and patience by two young medical practitioners who left a deep impression on her.” (Healing Heart)

“Before departing, they even took a commemorative photo together…” (Healing Heart)

This indicates:

· Photography technology exists in the 722nd world

777th World – “The Magic Civilization”

Landscape & Environment

“A land of quietude and mystery, upon which all civilization was built on a foundation of standardized spellwork—where nothing can truly escape the grasp of ‘magic.’” (Phantom Night)

Atmospheric magic limitation:

“In this world—the 777th chronicled by Octavia—the magic that all things rely upon cannot seem to leave the atmosphere, thus binding the wizards, witches, and their wondrous creations to gravity’s well.” (Rose’s Lament)

External Threats

“Yet the threat from deep space continued to grow, and so the young scholars wearing the Rose’s Lament set undertook a bold experiment: imbuing magic into meteorite dust and doing all they could to send it back into orbit…” (Rose’s Lament)

The “threat from deep space” likely refers to:

· Abyssal encroachment

· Other potentially hostile civilizations

Cultural Practices

“Moonlight descends, candles flicker, and the night of revelry begins.” (Candlelit Revelry)

“During classes, they proved skilled at extracting the essentials from obscure esoterica. And in their daily lives—and especially at the festival known to later generations as the Candlelit

Revelry—they would be like carefree young men and women, joining the students in fun but moderate pranks, even leading them in begging for candies from other teachers.” (Candlelit Revelry)

Post-Catastrophe

“The 777th world that Octavia chronicled once fell briefly into chaos due to calamitous meteorite showers. Once the crisis had been properly handled and the relevant organizations had completed a set of perfect precautionary measures,

they then had ‘opera mages’—who used magic to create light effects, sounds, and visual tricks—take the stage, perform, and soothe the people.” (Sonic Ruins)

The Sonic Ruins group:

“The alternative opera group, Sonic Ruins, was a luminary leader amongst these mages…” (Sonic Ruins)

First encounter:

“The first friends Octavia made on the 777th world were two highly gifted and hospitable high-level professors of magic.” (Candlelit Revelry)

“During classes, they proved skilled at extracting the essentials from obscure esoterica.” (Candlelit Revelry)

Personal gift:

“Before Octavia left, the two designed a gown for their guest, one that they filled with sincere blessings…” (Candlelit Revelry)

Medical referral system:

“After Octavia was accidentally struck by a high-speed comet, she followed the recommendations of the residents of the 712th ‘Elysium Star’

and made several transfers before arriving at the 722nd planet, the ‘Sanctuary of Recovery.’” (Healing Heart)

“Made several transfers” indicates that no direct travel route exists between these worlds.

Teyvat is a planet located at the edge of a spiral arm. Currently, it is covered by a false sky meant to keep the Abyss out and make it more difficult to detect from the outside universe:

But now, it lay shrouded behind several impenetrable fields, its primordial flame stripped of the radiance it was meant to bear.

The Heavenly Principles set laws that outlanders—even some abyssal beings—must follow:

even invaders who seek to claim this world must obey its rules to some extent.

Unless the heavens split open and the earth’s defenses collapse, these star-born outsiders can do little more than linger at the world’s fringes,

whispering their madness into this realm; their attempts to seep inside amount to nothing.

The formless beast that soared through the starless void should never have required organs this world calls “wings.”

Those grotesque, profane appendages may have arisen to adapt to the laws beneath the moon, though Descenders may be immune to them to some extent—or perhaps entirely.

Races in the Genshin Universe:

· Skirk’s Race: Distinct from humans, as they have a fin on their back. They can also coexist with the Abyss to some extent. They are physically stronger than regular humans.

· The Voyager’s Race: A “scribe” whose mind travels the cosmos while her body rests in a distant celestial disk-construct. Her species are scribes who chart civilizations doomed to perish. She is not human—possibly an invertebrate or non-animal lifeform—as she refers to humans as “chordate animals.”

· Humans (or Humanoids): Many worlds have human-like societies, such as the worlds Octavia visited. However, I’m a bit confused about the difference between humans in Teyvat and humans in other worlds, as humans in Teyvat likely originate from the Primordial One’s original world and might be biologically different from people like Octavia or those in the worlds she visited.

· The Travelers’ Species: Humanoid. They have extremely long lifespans and are basically immortal. They can also survive and travel in space and don’t seem to need to eat or drink. I’m also not sure if the Traveler has to do things normal humans do, or if they just prefer to. I’m also unsure if everyone on the Travelers’ home planet was like this, or just the twins. For the twins themselves, I theorize they are some type of god, as gods exist outside of Teyvat. They could possibly have been born alongside their world, like Nibelung.

· The All-Devouring Narwhal’s Species: Unknown, but it is likely beyond conventional biology.

· The beings Surtalogi beat: “If it was a wicked beast, he ate its flesh. If it was a god or a machine, he absorbed its energy. If it was a warrior or mage, he played with his food — forcing them to use every trick in their book, then cutting them down once he tired of the charade.”

· The rat Skirk ate: “Though, I should mention I brought it here from another planet, since all life on yours is extinct.”

· The creatures Skirk encountered:

“During my journey through the stars, I came across a species with completely inverted sensory perception.

They’d use ice to warm themselves up, and cool down by the fire. They’d be sweating buckets inside a cold, dark cave, but shiver uncontrollably under the blazing sun. So different from all the other creatures around them, and yet they lived quite happily.

That’s the miracle of life — unfathomably complex, but at the same time so simple.”

Universal Concepts

The Abyss

The Abyss is a cosmic phenomenon and is likely the force destroying the Genshin universe. It is not limited to Teyvat; it hates, destroys, and has consumed countless star systems and worlds.

Will

The concept of will is not limited to Teyvat.

“Not all that comes from beyond may be one that ‘descends.’ That title belongs only to wills that can rival an entire world. That is what I seek: the way to become such a will—one that can protect the world, sustain the world, destroy the world, and create the world.”

— Notes #1, The Narzissenkreuz Ordo

The Voyager—an outlander not from Teyvat—noticed Nibelung due to his strong will:

“It came from an unremarkable little world at the edge of the spiral arm—and from the primeval dragon that had been born alongside that world. Though death would one day bring an endless night, and the sun it gazed upon was but a fleeting ember, this will, bound though it was to its planetary crust, shone more brilliantly than all the civilizations the voyager had ever seen.”

— Deep Gallery’s Distant Pact

“Ambition should be something that transcends the world below and the starry sky above—something that shines in unison with fate itself.”

— Narzissenkreuz Sword Lore

“A sacred blade indwelt with great enough reason and will to create and destroy a universe—or a dream.”

The Traveler’s sibling even stated that she would need the might of an entire world to speak to the Heavenly Principles as an equal, which may be a description of what it means to be a Descender.

Fate

Another universal concept is fate. The reason the Abyss started destroying the universe is that its fate was severed, and the Abyss is all the fates that never came to be. Along with Surtalogi being bound by destiny, this suggests there is a separate universal fate from the one the Heavenly Principles made.

The Genshin Universe

Its Size and Age:

The “Wheel of Fortune” mentions:

---

She is a good friend of the “legendary old witch” (likely Andersdotter), who has seen many worlds and told many tales about the “sky beyond the sky.” Her home was destroyed at some point in the past, but she lacked the courage to fight back and instead took up a life of eternal wandering.

To end this chaos, they decided to hold sacred tournaments during ceremonies honoring their heroes, with the one who obtained the most crowns becoming the leader of all city-states, responsible for quelling internal strife and repelling external enemies.

· Spring Festival: “Like many civilizations across the universe, they had a clear concept of ‘seasons.’ Though expressed in different languages, the season when crops begin to sprout and grow was

always given imagery similar to ‘spring.’ The people here likewise held lively celebrations before the arrival of spring to express their good wishes for the future.” (Prelude to Spring)

---

93rd World – “The Academy Planet

The phrase “for the civilizations under its purview” suggests the Academy Planet may serve as an educational hub for multiple civilizations.

---

**Cultural Practices**

“When the planet reached its farthest orbital point, the temperature dropped by another thirty percent, approaching the lowest point of particle kinetic energy

712th World – “The Paradise Planet.

---

· Photography technology exists in the 722nd world
· Octavia maintains physical mementos of her journey

Inter-World Reputation

The fact that residents of the 712th world specifically recommended the 722nd world shows interstellar communication networks capable of sharing information.

---

Cultural Practices

“Moonlight descends, candles flicker, and the night of revelry begins.” (Candlelit Revelry)

“During classes, they proved skilled at extracting the essentials from obscure esoterica. And in their daily lives—and especially at the festival known to later generations as the Candlelit Revelry—

they would be like carefree young men and women, joining the students in fun but moderate pranks, even leading them in begging for candies from other teachers.” (Candlelit Revelry)

---

For me personally:

Mydei’s immortality — it says that to permanently kill him, you need to destroy his 10th vertebra, I believe.

In terms of mechanics would you consider the sinners to be closer to Herrschers or Emanators in terms of their connection to the abyss?

I mean in terms of relation
Is their relationship with the abyss closer to the relationship between a herrscher and the honkai
Or and Emanator and and Aeon

For example, in Genshin, the Abyss is massively above the other top tiers. So even if a character beats 99.99% of the verse, if they aren’t at bare minimum universal with extreme hax, they don’t solo the verse. It’s basically what Gojo does for Jujutsu Kaisen.

Another person I believe is important for Genshin power scaling is the Pyro Dragon. In my opinion, the Archons are mid-tier in Genshin, with the Prime Sovereigns being above them. I think the Pyro Dragon is the strongest Sovereign.

I think the Pyro Dragon is important because he acts as a bridge between the mid tiers and the top tiers.

He is above the Archons but below the other top tiers like the moons, shades and etc .

His feats—such as turning everything in Teyvat into phlogiston, rewriting concepts, being an information-based life form, and being likened to the sun—help upscale everyone above him.

Even if a character beats the Archons, if they can’t at least get past the Pyro Dragon, they wouldn’t be top-tier—just mid-tier

Personally, I would consider the Pyro Dragon a top tier in teyvat atleast.

For Genshin, three characters that give off Emanator vibes are the HP, Nibelung, and Surtalogi. I’m excluding the Abyss since it seems to be above Emanator level. It’s mainly due to hax as Genshin seems more like a hax>stats verse

For Wuwa, I’d say maybe Prime Rover and Aemeth piloting the Exostrider along with a few other characters I might be forgetting.

As for HI3, Kiana, Kevin, and a few others fit that level as well.

For reference:

Primodial sea:

The previous Hydro Archon, Egeria, once used the Primordial Sea's life-granting properties to give Oceanids human forms.

Compared to the powers of the Elements, Khvarena's power is more similar to that of the Primordial Sea.

It assimilates whatever it contacts.

Though Khvarena opposes the Abyss, both have a form of self-recognition. The power of Khvarena might be the same as the Primordial Sea's—the result of being projected onto this world.

According to Hydro Vishap legend, the Primordial Sea's composition was similar to blood, and life within it was not individual.

Life that evolved to walk on land formed blood vessels to keep the Primordial Sea within themselves.

The Hydro Dragon was the "beating heart" that controlled it.

The Hydro Dragon Sovereign holds full authority over the Primordial Sea and could be regarded as this planet's original "God of Life."

In addition to commanding Hydro, the Hydro Dragon mastered the sea that was the source of life.

Before any outside life forms were created, all life on the planet traced its origins to the Primordial Sea.

The Hydro Dragon Neuvillette could turn Primordial Sea water inside Fontainians into blood.

The Primordial Sea is stated to be the essence of immortality, transcending the laws of the material world and capable of rewriting rules.

René was able to manipulate space and calculate with it, implying more abilities.

According to Barbeloth, the true essence of the Abyss lies in the hatred carried by all the alternate possibilities of fate that never came to pass; this resentment drives the Abyss to seek the destruction of all existence

· “I have seen how the cold tide of chaos drowns out all songs, so that good and evil alike vanish into silence.

•As Heaven and Earth Are Made Anew:
The true difficulty lay in finding a world with potential. Without that, destruction would catch up all too soon.

Sin infests the firmament, calamity unfurls across the universe.

6.6 artifact leak:

That is, until the fate of the cosmos was severed thread by thread, and giants and dwarfs alike met the same end.

Next, extinguished dwarf stars streaked across the firmament like tears, and the embers of burned-out suns warped the very fabric of space.

It was only when entire galaxies evaporated into a void deeper than darkness did people finally came to realize the scale of the catastrophe.
There, all light had vanished, and all possibility was spent. Even the finest motes of dust had drifted apart.

There was no turning point, no miracle to be found. At the very end of fate, all that remained was a void of utter chaos and darkness.
Every equation they had uncovered, every constant they had defined, now stood in silent proclamation of their end.

For some reason, the race that claimed to have transcended time continued to carry out an eternal mission among the stars.

Despite their knowledge that the darkness which erases existence itself was an inevitable end beyond all return,

However, should those branching paths of time that seem to hold endless possibilities be nothing more than a veil of ignorance leading to a single end,

For reference:

The Three Moons were created by Dragon King Nibelung to govern Teyvat in his absence. According to Nicole:

"In the beginning, no moons adorned the sky. It was the Dragon King Nibelung who raised the three moons into the heavens, and thus were the Moon Goddesses born.

They were shadows of the planet, born to wield Nibelung's authority and oversee the world on his behalf. They were extensions of his will, manifestations of his majesty."

Law Manipulation –

"Our authority is linked to the most fundamental rules of Teyvat… I suppose it's no wonder that many would covet that power."

"Eons ago, before the Heavenly Principles came to Teyvat, it was the then-three Moon Goddesses who controlled the laws of this world. Life, 'Death,' and such."

Conceptual Manipulation (Type 2) – They can manipulate the concepts of life, death, time, and space within Teyvat.

Fate Manipulation – Can manipulate the fate of all living beings by weaving the silver threads of destiny and spinning the Wheel of Fate (Constellations).

Space-Time Manipulation – Can influence the fabric of space and time and manipulate it.

Gravity Manipulation – The Moons can manipulate gravity and entropy.

Creation – Anything that existed in the past, the Moon Sisters can recreate within their limits.

Teleportation & Spatial Displacement – Can move freely between the Moon and Teyvat. Can transport themselves and others.

Enhanced Senses – Can locate someone in the world, find them, and bring them to any location within their power.

Curse Manipulation – Can freely place curses on people; for example, a curse that triggers if someone performs a certain action, such as moving. If the target lacks resistance, they could simply curse them to die if they move.

Perception Manipulation – Can alter perceptions and actions by overturning the world's laws using the power of the Three Moons.

Temporal Restoration – Can restore damage received by rewinding time.

Pocket Reality Manipulation – Can create a pocket realm containing the starry skies and the Three Moons.

Reality Warping (Low-Mid)

Light Manipulation (Kuuvahki) – Specifically for the Welkin Moon. The power of Kuuvahki energy works similarly to a magnet; it can attract and repel.

There are two main types of Kuuvahki: red and blue.

They have opposite polarities, which causes them to repel objects of the same color and attract objects of the opposite color. Using a trick with the power of Kuuvahki, Columbina can erase her presence and surprise the Traveler and Paimon from behind.

Tri-Lune

After acquiring Tri-Lunar authority, Columbina naturally had some questions: Could this power really do everything? What should she use it for?

She felt that the things she wanted to do were almost all within the reach of the three moons' power: moving freely between the moon and Teyvat, effortlessly transporting herself and other objects, making flowers bloom more brilliantly, causing fruits to grow fuller.

She even tried to wake Sandrone up. But that was one of the few things this Tri-Lunar power could not accomplish for her.

As for everything else, she either didn't want to do it or felt that she shouldn't.

What she loved was the way this world and her home looked now. Changing it at will just because she could, molding its appearance and rules to suit her own whims…

She felt that would be wrong. No matter how good her intentions, doing so would make her no different from The Doctor.
