Mazda CX9 Folding Mirrors stuck after carwash

Just documenting this here in case it helps someone else in my scenario.

After hand-washing my 2017 CX9, the mirrors stopped automatically folding shortly after.

Looks like this is a common issue online and many people have documented the WD-40 fix.

I noticed that when I "assist" the mirrors when locking/unlocking the car, they would seem to open and close with full motion under the power of the electric motors, so I knew it was a jamming issue.

My first attempt didn't work (I only sprayed into the larger hole on the left, the one accessible without taking the mirror off).

Then I tried applying WD-40 in both of these holes (removing the rubber grommet off the 2nd one) and the issue resolved instantly. I had to remove the face of the mirror to access them both - be very careful when doing this to ensure you don't snap the mirror.

Adding this as another data point in case it helps someone in the future!

Bose headphones half price, a robot vacuum $1,900 off, and a mug for 12 cents, Prime Day round-up from my alert bot.

Follow-up to the price error post from earlier this week. Prime Day wraps up today so figured I'd do a bit of a round-up of what came through, and what to look out for as it winds down.

Biggest genuine deals it flagged:
- Roborock Qrevo Edge Robot Vacuum & Mop, RRP $2,799, down to $899
- Bose QuietComfort Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones, RRP $499.95, down to $246.95
- Fire TV Stick 4K Max, RRP $119, down to $60
- Apple AirPods Pro 3, $299 delivered

And the price errors, because there's always a few:
- Thermos Vacuum Insulated Mug, RRP $22.69, for $0.15
- Thermos Vacuum Insulated Tumbler, $0.12 delivered
- Random Amazon Japan items under $1, including a Mario Goomba plush for $0.14

What'd everyone else grab? Keen to see what people are walking away with.

Worth mentioning too, even though Prime Day's ending today, this isn't just a Prime Day thing. The bot's watching OzBargain year round, so if you join now it'll keep pinging you for price errors and trending deals long after today, including whatever last-minute stuff drops in the next few hours as Prime Day wraps up.

Bot pings Amazon price errors before they get fixed, caught a $0.12 Thermos mug (RRP $55) this week

Built a bot that watches OzBargain and pings me the second a deal starts rapidly gaining upvotes, which is usually the tell for a price error before Amazon catches and corrects it. Figured this sub would appreciate it more than most.

This week alone it's caught:

* Thermos Vacuum Insulated Mug, RRP $55, for $0.12

* Japanese stationery, RRP $18, for $0.09

Speed is the whole point, price errors get corrected fast, so the earlier you know, the better your odds. It's not Amazon-only, but there's a dedicated Amazon channel if that's all you care about.

This has been perfect for amazon primeday deals.

Free to join, Discord or Telegram. About 4,000 people using it at the moment.

Built a discord bot so I didn't have to choose between rent and impulse-checking OzBargain 10 times a day

Started this while I was studying at Curtin, on a budget (broke af) and I still couldn't stop refreshing OzBargain out of fear of missing something good. So I built a bot that watches the site for me and pings me on Discord the second a deal starts rapidly gaining upvotes.

If you run your own discord server, you can even pipe these alerts straight into it using Discord's announcement channels, two clicks and your group chat gets the same pings.

What it's caught:

- Logitech G PRO X 2 Wireless headset (RRP $450) for $150, price error

- $89 Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 at Woolies, sold out everywhere within the day

- Free full games on Epic/Steam the moment they go live

- Grocery and household price errors that pop up more often than you'd think

There's category channels so you can just follow tech, gaming, amazon, whatever's actually relevant and skip the rest. About 4,000 people are using it now.

Prime Day's in a few days too, which tends to be when the best (and weirdest) price errors show up.

[Australia] I built a bot so I'd stop refreshing OzBargain out of FOMO. It's caught some ridiculous deals

I used to check OzBargain multiple times a day because I was scared of missing a price error before it got pulled. That got old fast, so I built something that watches the site for me and pings me on Discord the moment a deal starts rapidly gaining upvotes.

What it's actually caught recently:

- $89 Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 at Woolies, sold out everywhere within a few hrs.

- Logitech G PRO X 2 headset (RRP $450) for $150, price error, gone within the hour

- Eufy Smart Lock Doorbell Camera (RRP $800) for $300, also a price error

- $1 HOYTS tickets the morning they dropped

- $49 Ozito chainsaw at Bunnings

Completely free, no ads. It's just a script that watches an RSS feed and posts to Discord to ping you directly. 3,000 people already get these alerts, sorted into channels so you only get pinged for what you actually care about. You can also follow the channels to have them sent directly to your own discord server.

Prime Day's in a few days, which is usually when this thing earns its keep the most.
