so ive been growing this batch of APEs for about 3 months now,
around one month in a gain bag
then transfered it to a tub and its been a month and a half since then
the tub is fully colonized and ive put in the micro pore tape for FAE and i have been misting every 2-3 days
is there anything im missing? its been about a 2 weeks since ive done this and i was hoping for pins
Im testing out some genetics.
I have 5 all in one grow bags and ive used 3 different 10cc spore syringes for them
2 - B+ 5cc each
2 - Blue Meanie 5 cc each
1 - Menace 10cc
this is just day one but i plan to observe the rate of colonization and how much they fruit. they are all in 5 pound all in one grow bags and have been placed inside a big see through tub i have cleaned out and whiped with isopropyl alcohol and im just waiting for anything i can observe.
so far ive been testing out APEs vs APEs revert but they are placed in mono tubs instead of grow bags
let me know if there is anything else i can observe or if you know anything about these genetics im very curious.
honestly i dont know much about growing magic mushrooms other than the one time i grew golden teachers freshman year of high school because i wanted to have my own source lol. so please let me know any tips and tricks or if im doing anything wrong.

so i left town for a day and i for some reason the ac wasnt working correctly and my tub was left in the arizona heat in a room without proper ac and i come home to find there is a yellow ish orange spot in my APEs mono tub please tell me there is soemthing i can do to fix this im guessing its due to the fact it was in a heated environment for a bit
also there are other yellowish orange spots around the surgace of the mycelium too but there is also one spot were its big

got this strain called APEs revert apparently its a mix of golden teacher and APE genes
what can i expect?
so far ive noticed its colonized the grain bag significantly faster than my normal APEs grain bag and ill be putting it in a mono tub soon and ill keep checking up on it
im really interested on how people mix genes with mushrooms how do you even do that?
hey so i use to grow golden teacher mushrooms back in freshman year of high school now im getting back into it
the strain is APEs and with my past experience the mycelium usually has pin like hairs during colonization but with this tub i havent seen any and there are very white and grey spots in the mycelium is this contaminated? is there anything i can do?
