I was here a few weeks back ripping this handle off with plyers. Now I have the new handle, and I still can't figure out how this frigging handle attaches to this door!?
I don't have access to the interior where I would need to fasten these screws.
This door handle is coming loose, it's pretty bad.
I figure I must be able to replace the handle on its own, but I cannot figure it out for the life of me!
How do I replace this door handle!? Do any of you recognize it. If it has a set screw. It is the most hidden set screw on the planet.
I'm in NYC and willing to hire someone.

They have a T-Mobile/Telekom home wifi modem. I seem to get like 1Mbps
I bought an mtel sim from a small shop in town, and it got me more like 20 Mbps... But it seems to stop working? It is prepaid and meant for a cell phone. This was when I put it in the wireless modem they have. So works much better for a bit, then stops working.
The house doesn't have phone lines or cable lines. It is on a main main street though. So I figure we would get them if that's what is required.
Long story short... What do you think is causing the mtel sim to stop working? And could I get a home use mtel sim if that is my problem?
Every time my mother goes to replace her phone at the ATT reseller in our neighborhood. They sign her up for extra lines. She doesn't need them, and is due for any upgrade.
She is on my phone bill, but this strikes me as elder abuse, but moreover, is just an extremely sleazy business practice.

But hear me out.
US News systematically ranks public universities higher due to low student debt and high pell grant recipients. Both of these are great metrics for ranking a school as far as the good they are doing society, but they are meaningless metrics as far as the good the school will do for you.
Student debt is a totally meaningless metric if I am coming from out of state. And it is 5% US News rankings.
I'll tell you... If you're from some other state and your thinking SUNY Stony Brook is a comparable experience to Skidmore or something, or Fordham, you are being totally misled.
Edit: Really pleased by how considerate everyone has been on this topic. Many of these OOS schools I am dismissing are quite a bit cheaper than I had in mind. Many of the headline names are exactly as expensive as I am describing. Certainly, the UC system.
Summary: Adults seem to fundamentally understand that something cannot be ranked accurately when it exists at two very different price points. I don't think many young people commented. I feel better.
So I am a pushy dad, and my daughter's school doesn't provide a class rank.
Her advisor/college counselor writes a letter on her behalf; I guess this is pretty common.
I got a questionnaire about her life and such that I am supposed to fill out, but I think the counselor has mixed opinions about my daughter. Her old advisor seemed to act as if she was an entire grade higher.
I've been thinking about this a lot. Does anyone have any insight on how to get this recommendation to be better? I have tried to befriend this person, with mixed results.
Is there some sort of professional best practices when preparing these letters? Are there things that are included in the questionnaire that will automatically make it into the letter?

I've recently gotten annoyed at Dreft dish soap. I now seem to just spend 3x as much on dish soap, and I think I get no benefit whatsoever.
Most baby snacks just feel like repackaging of regular snacks at twice the price.
What are other egregious offenders. Medicines are pretty bad. Infant Tylenol is literally the same strength as children's Tylenol with a markup. I don't even think it comes with a smaller plunger.
I do half the shopping, but I can't get my wife to stop buying this stuff. And then combine it with lux stuff from whole foods, we spend 8x more for a cracker.

We are from the northeast; daughter goes to a private school with a graduating class around 130. My daughter wants to be pre-med, focus on bio and chem.
My daughter thinks she is interested in going to UT Austin, she visited and liked it. I have heard it seems awesome, but I don't know much.
I think she would be better off staying close to home and going to something in the BC/NYU/BU range. She didn't like visits to our state schools. Obviously, this is a privileged person.
Given the price you pay OOS, the size, the distance, the student quality, the commuters, I can't understand how UTA could possibly be comparable to near-elite private northeast schools. If this were true, no Texan would ever consider going somewhere else.
Anyone here in academia? I feel like we are comparing apples to oranges, but US News has these schools all lumped together, and they claim to not consider value, but how can that be?

I got a barista express 6 months ago. I've used it a lot. Yesterday I got some nice beans from Sey coffee... And all the sudden the grinder is loud clicking and won't grind.

I noticed that for med school applications, all the programs have sub 5% acceptance rates. Yet 40% of kids who want to go end up finding a spot. Everyone applies to like 16+ schools.
Does this work for top 20 colleges?
Assuming i could actually visit all 20 and my kid could write a believable why this school essay for all of them?
I guess this really boils down to... How much of these low acceptance rates are just driven by huge amounts of applications? I have asked AI, and a lot is the answer.

They should be blackout lined.
I would like them to be motorized.
What would you expect this to cost with install included?
