Why do none of the factory built bolt guns coming with the superior stainless steel barrel? I’ve only found 3 or 4 that do. Do they just expect us to change the barrel anyway or am I missing something.

It is hard to pick a knife to carry but I try to rotate weekly, I traded out a Benchmade Mini Freek in carbon fiber for this one.
What do you grab when your shooting day will only involve sitting around? I’m looking at the Caldwell Dead shot rest now, I’d like a real metal one but my back pain won’t let that last.

Which out of the box bolt action .22lr can go from base form to power over 9000? which one has the chassis, carbon bull barrels, triggers all available. I want to notice every upgrade. are CZ 457 and Tikka T1X really my only choices? I know I want a Proof Barrel and I would like to use a MPA chassis with a TT diamond. I considered getting the Tikka action but I want to upgrade while I’m using it to see if I can improve with it.
Hyper X handguard and carbon fiber bits are in. Once again I’m blown away by this craftsmanship. The scales and handstop have a story, they didn’t get shipped out in time so I got a full refund and the owner pretty much followed them to my mailbox.
The barrel is still in play. I’ve searched every Proof Research dealer and none have the one I’m looking for and they all have a 3-5 month back order. V Seven has 2 options and both are incredibly light and sub MOA. They also replace it if shoot out. I can push my deadline back a bit and get a Proof PXT also so idk. I can’t get the Brake or AGB until I order the barrel. I also still need to order the grip, MDT Elite carbon fiber.
Rarely carried and I don’t think it’s ever been used. I just don’t carry it so it needs to go. $615 shipped. The free Rike is older, still hair splitting sharp. It’s going with it no matter what.
If it wasn’t for Caleb from Brownells I would still be fighting the hammer springs. I have it on the 2.5lb weight and it’s ridiculous. I thought I know what no creep felt like. I wasn’t going to use it yet because I’m still waiting on a few parts for the build it’s going in but I figured why not. My only gripe is the shoe could have been sanded a bit better. They offer a few different colors of shoe separately. I’ll shot it tomorrow and see if it’s really as good as it feels.
I’ve only tried my CA556 FFT once at 100 yards and used a friend’s scope. I would say it meets the sub MOA guarantee. It has the lightest bull barrel I’ve seen. SMK 69 grain and 10 rounds. I’m in the process of building a supped up V Seven AR now and I think this one will get sold when it’s done to buy a bolt gun. The V Seven should come in a pound less and have lower recoil than the Christensen which is already a soft shooter. It’s not way over gassed like the duty grade ARs and it still functions flawlessly. I’m sure I will end up with a Christensen bolt gun.
I have chronic pain and even my AR in .223 hurt until I dumped a few grand into making it not hurt. which caliber would be great at 100 yards and good enough at 1000 yards? I’ll start off with off the shelf and end up turning it into a PRS rifle that will never compete. I know how I am when it comes to a new hobby. I was going to go magnum rimfire but that would work at 1000.
the flyer was me. barrel had 25 rounds through it to warm it up some. Today is the 1st time I’ve shot it stock since I bought it a year ago. It’s been a test bed for my final build. this group was using a buddies 12x scope not my 5x holographic.
This sub is always more helpful when it comes to the nicer stuff then the AR15 groups, libs enjoy the finer things in life. My goal is finished and painted in 5 months.

I did not know a bolt could move so smoothly. this rifle will shot like a dream and it better for the cost.
After watching MC make a beloved hard use Hinderer frame lock fail he said he expects frame locks to fail. That is kinda dumb. So I tested all my frame and normal button locks and hit them harder on a wood surface then he did. 1 failed and it didn’t take much. Can you guess which one? I’ll say Hinderer should not be failing after my “testing”. I need more knives, the wish list is growing while I’m doing a super Gucci AR build.
