Have people experienced this with cats before?

I’m writing because earlier this year I auditioned for a local shadow cast, and I got the part I auditioned for. I was told it could take 6 months to be in the actual roll I auditioned for, and I’ve gone to shows to help with quick changes backstage and just learn their general flow. I helped with some tech stuff as well and even performed as a Transylvanian in the show a handful of times.

I’ve been told in order to be the roll I auditioned for I must receive training for the roll by one of their approved coaches for this roll. I’ve asked now 2-3 times for this because it is preventing me from actually being cast in the show, but no one makes time for it. I also am being asked to be in other shows that are not Rocky that this cast sometimes puts on, and I’m frustrated because that is not the show/roll I auditioned for. They ask people to join the Rocky cast before shows start to encourage new members, not be in these other shows I just frankly am not interested in. I also feel like whenever I’ve been backstage to be taught how to do things no one really pays that much attention to me and instructing me, even though I’m told to show up so I can be taught how to do things.

I’m just getting overall frustrated and thinking about quitting because I don’t see this going anywhere despite showing up for months and getting home late. I feel like I’ve put my best effort in and I don’t understand why they encourage new cast members to join if they don’t intend to train them using the casting process they have to get these people on stage.

Is this a common experience with casts or does this sound unique to mine?

Game Report: Coop Rats/Bats vs Vagabond/Cat Bots

Had a game of coop Root using the Clockwork expansions. Human Rats/Bats vs Vagabond/Cat Bots. I’m looking to make posts like this more retelling and highlighting key moments of our games, and would love for others to do the same with their pictures!

The Rats started off in their lower right corner clearing building up their army, while the Cats were quickly building their buildings and scoring rapidly. The Bats were using the Cats cardboard buildings to score points as they built in the northern section of the map. All three Cats were banished by the Bats in the north fox clearing with a great die roll.

As Cats continued scoring points from building mostly Sawmills (drawing mostly fox order cards), we needed to destroy some cardboard fast to win. Rats began to attack Cat buildings and managed to destroy 3 Sawmills in two turns, while also managing to incite those clearings as they only had Rat pieces in their clearings, allowing the Rats to take more of a lead.

As the Cats began to lose buildings and a presence on the map, they began recruiting 4 warriors per turn to the ordered clearing they ruled. They pulled 3 bunny cards in a row, and recruited 12 warriors to their Keep’s clearing, causing a murder ball of Cats to spread across the northern section of the map, defeating Bats and their Assemblies. The Rats eventually managed to infiltrate the Keep and destroy it along with Cat warriors.

All the while, the Vagabot was completing quests and battling warriors, but he never managed to get too strong a lead as he was drawing similar order cards every turn and the Rats had taken items from the ruins before he could.

Overall, Bats reached 30 points first while the Rats were at 29, and the Rats got to 30 on the next turn, winning the game for the humans. There was much the Rats celebrated their victory by drinking Cat blood in this cold winter.

Game Recap (Coop Skunks and Frogs vs Bot Crows and Moles)

Played a coop game of the Skunks and Frogs vs Mechanical Crows and Moles on the Lake.

Game started off with a slow start for the Frogs and Skunks. Crows were putting down their plots rather quickly, but we were able to remove them. Once the Skunks got some prisoners from the Crows, momentum was building. However, the Moles had a strong territory in the top right of the map, and we needed to act fast while the Crows were kneecapped (but they don’t even have knees).

The Moles had built 2 buildings in each right most clearing with 4 Mole warriors guarding their buildings. However the Goose Gladiator Captain came out of a forest and took all their warriors as prisoners using Assault and destroyed all their buildings. They fled the clearing on a raft where they were welcomed by a single Frog warrior for a job well done.

In a neighboring clearing, the Weasel Cheat Captain made his move, again delivering a devastating blow to the Moles. More prisoners were taken and points earned for the Skunks.

In the final stretch of the game, Goose the Gladiator managed to assault two more Mole warriors and take them prisoner where they were left to die alongside a rotting lone Corvid warrior who had been taken prisoner from many turns ago.

And throughout the entirety of the game, the Frogs ruled the Tower clearing scoring an additional point every turn and towering above watching their enclaves.

The humans won this round both reaching 30 before a single bot.

Can anyone get the new expansions at Target today?

I walked into a Target this morning trying to get the new expansions, and they said it wasn’t available there or any nearby Targets despite the July 5 release date. They said I could order it to ship which arrives between July 8-13, which is annoying given that it had a release date of today.

Has anyone found it on a shelf?

I got one of these at a diner once because I thought it was crazy and it was quite good. Made one a few nights ago and didn’t disappoint! Everyone I’ve shown thinks I’m gross lol
