Did she just brag about how much she sucks?
Apparently I don’t value money!
I’ve been carrying this for a while because I really got along with the person I was talking to. I come from a wealthy family. I live by myself in New Zealand. I started talking to this girl few months ago through arranged marriage process, relatives connected me to her. She also comes from a nice family that’s well settled. I genuinely don’t give flying f about money and I kept repeating it in our conversations. Every conversation with her was just her going on about brands and all the luxurious things she wants. I mentioned many times that brands or luxury doesn’t attract me. I talked about how much I hate the idea of being rich. She rejected me because of it. She thinks I’m not ambitious. I run my own firm here and I’m very comfortable. I pay my bills and rest of my savings go towards SPCA and city mission. She said “I’m a loser if I don’t value the money I earned” I do value the money, I just don’t want it for myself. It’s extremely hard for me to justify what I’m saying but I feel like an absolute shit for not wanting to be rich. Again, I’m sorry but I had to let it out.
27M NZ, Looking for a trophy wife!
I’m a 27 year old living in New Zealand, a self made businessman! Self made, because no one would take a credit for an absolute train wreck I am.
I am originally from Ahmedabad, India but been living New Zealand since I was 17. Started my business three years ago, failed miserably, kept trying and now we’re good. I come from wealthy background but I don’t live with my parents and I’m wealthy on my own now (take that dad!).
I work in sales, finance, real estate, digital marketing, operations management, basically I sell everything and I have a strong reason to believe I’m good at it (I.e my monthly invoices I charge).
Looking for someone who has great humour, a friend, and understands that roasting you is my love language.
Living with me would like, lots of random and spontaneous travels, me joking about something very unhinged and offending most people, and living every alternative lifestyles out there.
I’m a bisexual and a swinger. Looking for a trophy wife that’s also a best friend and understanding of my lifestyle.
Also, I absolutely love women, anyone who has met them would agree with me why! If they don’t, they can go nut themselves (keeping it pg).
So to all of the beautiful ladies (not like there is any other kind) please feel free to comment or dm me, and I’d be honoured to talk to you.
Looking for a champagne of genders!

I’m curious to see how other star signs would’ve reacted.
Of course, Elon Musk’s money is my money.
Do I have high expectations?
Do I have high expectations?
27M. Indian. Living in New Zealand since I was 17, permanent resident, running my own sales consultancy. Life is genuinely good. Just missing one thing, apparently.
I asked my parents to start looking. Talked to a few girls through the process and all of them are lovely, genuinely, but I kept coming home with this quiet feeling that I couldn’t picture it long term. Not because anything was wrong with them. More because I couldn’t picture myself being fully myself around them. And that gap felt too big to ignore.
So I’m asking Reddit: is that a high expectation or just a normal one?
Honest snapshot of who I am:
I’ve been in NZ long enough that my social life looks nothing like a traditional arranged marriage shortlist would expect. Diverse friend group, busy work schedule, weekends spent either catching up with mates or doing nothing particularly impressive. I meal prep. I work out. I’m on the road more than I’m home. I drink on weekends and I’ll smoke when I’m drinking, not hiding that.
I’m not religious. I genuinely respect people who are. It’s just not my thing and I won’t fake it.
What I actually want:
Someone I can be completely unfiltered around. Where the “getting to know you” phase doesn’t feel like a job interview I have to dress up for. Someone who has their own life, their own opinions, and isn’t going to disappear into whoever I am.
Maturity over everything. Not age, maturity.
Must be okay with New Zealand. It’s non-negotiable.
high expectations?
I’ve tried settling for “nice enough” in my head and it doesn’t sit right. Figured I’d throw this out to people who might actually get it.
Basically looking for someone with their own opinions!
Disclaimer: this post is written by me but AI was involved in arranging my thoughts. It’s a Friday night, give me a break!
Battle of crackheads! Who’s winning?
Legion vs Sentry - Both at their very best.
27M - Christchurch, New Zealand.
Edit: I was born in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
I work in sales. Like, a lot. My idea of a wild Tuesday is driving through the country with a cold coffee and a podcast. I genuinely enjoy it. Make of that what you will.
I’m not looking for someone traditional per se. I drink occasionally. I’ll smoke when I’m drinking. I’m not going to pretend otherwise on a subreddit where everyone’s already lying about their height.
I respect every religion, every background, every set of values, genuinely, not as a disclaimer. Just don’t ask me to be someone I’m not and I’ll extend the same courtesy.
What I’m actually like:
I’ll drive two hours with no destination in mind and call it a great day. I find random small towns more interesting than most tourist spots. I think the best conversations happen in a moving car. I’m funnier than this post suggests. Barely.
What I’m looking for:
Someone who gets the joke. Not just laughs at it but gets it. A person I’d want to call after a weird day. Ideally someone who’d be down to ride along, literally, because I spend a lot of time in a car and the silence gets loud eventually.
Must be okay living in New Zealand. This is non-negotiable. It’s beautiful here and I’m not leaving.
The fine print:
I’m not on here because I’m desperate. I’m on here because I have zero time to meet people organically and I’d rather be honest about that than pretend I’m thriving socially.
DMs open. Low pressure. High banter.
