7th July Chennai DOJ - No Onboarding Pass Yet | Anyone else?

Hey everyone,

I'm a 2026 Cognizant campus hire with a DOJ of 7th July (Chennai).

I was initially unable to complete my pre-joining formalities because the EPFO portal was under maintenance. As soon as it came back online on 4th July, I generated my UAN and completed all my pre-joining formalities. My portal now shows 18/18 tasks completed, and my joining date is still 7th July.

However, I still haven't received my onboarding pass.

Is anyone else with a 7th July Chennai joining in the same situation? Have any of you received your onboarding pass yet?

Also, has anyone ever received their onboarding pass on a Sunday? Or are they usually generated only on working days?

are there any possibilities that I could get my onboarding pass on or before DOJ?

Need legal advice for my mother leaving an abusive marriage and possible divorce

My mother (46F) has been married to my father for 26 years. We are a Hindu family living in Andhra Pradesh.

For most of her marriage, my father has been physically and verbally abusive towards her. The abuse is still ongoing and happens multiple times a week. He is also extremely controlling and does not like us maintaining relationships with relatives or attending family functions. When we do, it often results in arguments, threats, verbal abuse, and physical abuse.

My mother is a homemaker with no income of her own. She studied up to 12th standard and has spent her entire married life taking care of the household and raising children.

My sibling and I are adults and employed (I am about to be employed), and we are considering moving out with our mother and renting a separate place for my mother so she can live in a safer environment. My brother and I will have to relocate to a different location because of our jobs and our salaries cannot afford three people yet.

One major concern is finances. There is a gold loan of approximately ₹3 lakh+ in my mother's name but the gold belongs to my paternal grandmother(father's mother). My father also started a chit fund where ₹20,000 is being paid every month by him to my mom and she manages every month. We are worried that if my mother leaves, he may stop making these payments and the burden will fall on her, but at the same we cannot stay here as well or can I leave my mother in this house.

My father earns well (over ₹1 lakh per month).

I also have audio recordings of verbal abuse and threats spanning multiple incidents. Unfortunately, we do not have much evidence of physical abuse.

My questions are:

  1. Can my mother legally live separately without immediately filing for divorce?

  2. Can she claim maintenance while still being legally married?

  3. How would courts typically view a gold loan that is in her name but was taken for her mother-in-law's gold?

  4. If she files for divorce based on cruelty and abuse, what outcomes could she realistically expect regarding maintenance and financial support?

  5. Are audio recordings of repeated verbal abuse useful evidence?

  6. What steps should we take before moving out to protect her legally and financially?

I would especially appreciate responses from lawyers or people who have handled similar situations. My mother has spent over two decades enduring abuse and is mainly afraid of the financial consequences of leaving.

I need some honest advice about my current situation.

I recently got a reconsideration mail from Deloitte (I was not selected earlier after the NLA round, but now they’re considering me for other roles). I have ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD + delta) and some frontend/dev experience on my resume.

At the same time, I already have a TCS Ninja offer in hand.

Now I have to fill Deloitte’s survey form, and one question is: “Do you have any other offer in hand?”

I’m confused about a few things:

  • Should I mention that I have an offer in hand? Will it actually help or just not matter?
  • Does this reconsideration process usually lead to better roles/packages, or is it mostly the same ~4 LPA range?
  • Has anyone here gone through Deloitte’s reconsideration/alternate role process? How long did it take and what was the outcome?

I’m mainly aiming for a better role/package (around 6 LPA range if possible), especially since I have ServiceNow certifications.

Would really appreciate practical insights from anyone who has been in a similar situation.
