E-Commerce Breakdown: Over 5.1 Lakh complaints filed in 2025. Here is the platform breakdown and how to fight false resolutions

Hey everyone, if your refund is stuck or you got a wrong item delivered, you aren't alone. Official Parliament data shows consumer complaints hit an all-time high in 2025.

The NCH Loophole & How to Fight Back:

Many companies now exploit the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) by uploading false responses ("delivered successfully" or "user damaged item") to force-close tickets. Because NCH is only a mediation platform, they get away with it. If this happens to you, escalate immediately to the official E-Daakhil portal (edaakhil.nic.in) --> now handled in the E-Jagriti portal.

Based on my personal experience, the E-Jagriti website isn't very user friendly. But we must start raising complaints.

I wonder why the govt isn't taking any stricter actions.

Flipkart is now openly LYING to the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) to fraud customers out of returns. Don't fall for the "Brand Jobsheet" trap.

I am writing this out of sheer frustration because I just caught Flipkart red-handed committing literal corporate fraud on a government portal to avoid taking back a return.

Here is how they are manipulating the system to trap you with defective items.

I just caught Flipkart red-handed committing literal fraud on a government portal to avoid taking back a defective appliance.

The Setup: Bought a Whirlpool Washing Machine for ₹12,611. Delivered Dead-on-Arrival on Sunday, 09-08-2026.

The Trap: I raised a return immediately. Whirlpool's technician verified the manufacturing defect. Instead of approving the pickup, Flipkart support ghosted me until the last minute, then suddenly demanded a physical brand jobsheet to run down my 7-day return window (ending 16-08-2026).

The Scam: To protect my money, I filed a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH Case: 9940923) on Friday, August 14, 2026.

The Lie: Flipkart’s legal team uploaded this official remark on the NCH portal to force-close the ticket: "Since the product was delivered on 09 Aug 26, it is post the 7-day policy... closing the complaint."

Let that sink in. Delivered on August 9. Flipkart told the government that August 14 is "post 7 days." That is only FIVE days! They are openly manipulating basic math on a central government platform to trick the system and trap consumers with broken products.

The Resolution: I called NCH support (1915) and exposed the fake math. The government officer officially directed me to file a lawsuit via the e-Jagriti portal. I’ve officially handed this over to my lawyer to sue them for corporate fraud and severe mental harassment.

Avoid Flipkart for large appliances. Their "Trust Shield" is a total scam.
