My chickens really don't like giving me variety

My chickens really don't like giving me variety

These are the chicks I hatched out yesterday, I have only one black chicken well I guess I had only one black chicken, most of these chicks came from different mothers.. why can't my chickens give me more color variety? Do they not like me? LOL and no this is not their brooder this is just what I transported them from the incubator to the brooder in

I got called stupid for assisting stuck chicks out of their shell

I hatch out over 100 chicks each year, of course I do not keep all of those chickens I usually only have tops 25 chickens, I hatch cheeks out to sell and maybe only will keep a couple Out of the hatch, occasionally there will be one or two that are struggling to get out of the egg and need a little bit of help, this year I have so far hatched out 58 chicks, out of those 58 I've only had two struggle to get out of the egg, one that started out hatching just fine but once it made a whole big enough for its head to get out of it's stuck its head out of the egg before making a whole big enough for the rest of it to come out, it wasn't able to get its head back in to get itself out completely so I had to help it a little bit.

The second chick that struggled was from Yesterday's hatch, it was the very last egg in the incubator to hatch all of the other ones had finished hatching and we're fine, I had noticed that the baby inside was crying and peeping and then after a while it started to sound weaker and weaker so when I could barely hear it I decided I was going to intervene and open up the egg.

When I opened the egg I first handled it to see if I could tell which way the baby was facing, I was able to get a good idea and was able to open up the egg near the face of the chick, when I did I was able to see that the baby had not developed its egg tooth and couldn't get out on its own, so I proceeded to slowly chip away at the egg and I got the baby out it was very ready to come out and a little bit weak from being stuck for so long.

I posted about this on a Facebook group And people called me stupid for assisting, not because it's risky to assist But because they said I should have let nature take its course And if they couldn't hatch on their own then they did not need to live.... One lady said that God intended for them not to hatch And I intervened with God's plan.

In my opinion, chickens the ones that we raise are not a natural species you will never find them in the wild unless they are feral chickens that escaped and or were dumped by humans but they are not wild, therefore technically nothing about chickens that we raise are natural and if we are going to raise them then we need to do everything we can to help them have the best life possible.

I also think it's strange that they won't help a baby chick out of the egg but a lot of these people would also risk their own safety to pull a calf from a cow struggling to have a baby on its own, I just don't understand the difference, why does one get to live and the other not when they both can if we just help?

The most valid argument anyone said was that The Offspring from those chicks that struggled to get out most likely will struggle themselves, personally I've never had that issue but I can see where it would be a concern, however you do not have to breed them if you do not want to it does not mean they do not deserve a chance at life.

Sorry for the little bit of a rant, it just kind of annoyed me, the picture of the chick is not one that struggled she's just really pretty and I thought I would attach it.

I'm getting ready to go on a trip and my cousin's going to be caring for my ducks while I'm gone, she's only going to be stopping by twice a day to check everyone's food and water so no one's going to be replacing their water as frequently as I usually do, so I'm curious to know what you guys do to make sure you're ducks have good clean water all day or is it even possible?

Someone gave me two Baby Comet goldfish, I do have a large tank it's about 75 gallon stock tank, but currently they are less than an inch long so I was wondering if I could keep them in a 10 gallon with frequent water changes just until they're a hair bigger? I am aware that eventually even the 75 won't be big enough, I am fully prepared to move them into a 1,000 gallon stock tank, I would just like to be able to find them once I do, plus they would probably get snatched up by the existing fish in there at the moment, like I said it's just two they're less than an inch long and the 10 gallon has strong enough filtration for a 55

It's a bit cloudy because it hasn't settled fully settled yet, I had went to pick up a 10 gallon tank that had some live plants in it someone gave me, when I got it home there was a betta fish and two zebra danios in there, apparently they haven't been seen in like 6 months because the original owners forgot about them somehow they were still alive in little over an inch of sloppy kind of thick water, this is what I set up for them the Sponge Filter I put in it was already cycled along with the substrate, this isn't the first time I've done a fish in cycle and this is not the first time I've had these kinds of fish, just currently curious to know what you think about my setup I plan to get some more plants, I did have mono grass but it died for some reason and I also had a second Amazon sword that died as well, currently what's in it is for lucky bamboo plants they used to be bigger but I trimmed them down a bit, once the three bits that I trimmed grow roots I'm going to stick them back in the tank and then I also have in the Little Flower Pot a little bit of java moss with hopefully a viable Amazon sword Sprout or whatever you call it, and then something that came off of that funny looking Moss ball thing in there, not sure what it is it was one of those random plants that was in the tank I got with the fish, I do have a bunch more Java moss I just couldn't figure out how to place it in there right now and make it look good, I think I'm going to try to attach it to some wood and make a little bonsai tree to go in there possibly, I may possibly just make a guppy tank with it not sure yet, there's also like a microscopic amount of duckweed in the tank that I hope makes it, for some reason most of my duckweed died so I'm hoping it revives because I really love it, let me know if I should get some more zebra danios and put in this tank with the better or should I set them up their own tank of course still getting them some friends and give the better a different kind of tank mate

It's been a long time since I've had guppies, I really love them but unfortunately the person that was supposed to be taken care of them while I was on a trip did not make sure my heater was plugged up, I even left clear instructions to check it that they didn't and it got really cold in the house and unfortunately only one made it, and sadly that one died about a week after for an unknown reason so it's been awhile since I've had them, the setup I originally had was a 10 gallon with a bit of gravel in the bottom and a bunch of duckweed and java moss, I'd like to set up something that does really look good this time but still provides hiding places for babies

Could this be worms? Visually nothing's wrong but he's just been scratching his butt a lot recently, I'm wondering if it's not worms but I figured I would come on here and ask first, I'm not seeing any signs of mites or anything like that and it's only his butt that he's really itchy at

I have a almost 8 week old Alpine buckling, and a soon-to-be 1 year old La Mancha weather who has only been a weather for about a month now, I know they cannot be introduced right now due to the size difference, I'm just curious to know when would be the best time to introduce them, I've been walking my buckling past the fence so they can get used to seeing each other, I haven't let them actually touch through the fence yet, but I want them to be used to each other before they ever meet without any barricade, so when would be the best time to introduce? Both have horns
