I will always resent Claremont for the way he handled Scott's retirement in the 80s. But this scene from the Inferno limited series (2021) was a great character development moment for Scott. He steps doen on his own terms and willingly hands the Captain Commander position to Bishop. And it shows the importance of his time-displaced eras in making him comfortable letting other people be in charge for a change.

Nova getting a rundown of this era will never not be funny.

One of mt favorite pasnels from Champions when Tyke-clops explains his powers to Joaquin.

The Champions made an impression on Scott too. And his messaghge to Kamala was a great distillation of Scott's character: that's he's a guy of strong convictions who'll do everything for a cause once he commits to it.

Macklemore_REAL was making a Summers Family Comics installment for me and they were kind enough to provide a bonus teaser.

Pierce was so confidewnt Scott wouldn't dare use his powers at that particcular location that he practically dared Scott to go ahead, thinking he was bluffing. But anyone who has read anything from Cyclops since ANXM would know taking away hisd control doesn't stop him. Scott has always been blood-thirsty inside.
