Scratching on outer walls. Probably time to call maintenance?

I recently moved to a new apartment, on the third and final floor of a relatively old building (probably built around 1960s if I had to guess).

One thing I’ve noticed in the past week or so is that around 11-ish at night, there’s a scratching noise coming from the outer walls of the place— never the inner walls, and most of it is toward the ceiling I’m pretty sure.

It sounds like mice or some other small creature if I had to guess— I’ve heard very similar sounds in my family’s house, where every year some creature would hunker down in the attic/wall space (we suspect flying squirrel or bat). Drove me insane there too, not there was no possible damage for it to do (all insulation where it was) and it was only ever an issue every couple weeks out of the year so my family didn’t do anything about it.

I’m a bit of an anxious person so I guess I wanted a different opinion other than my own on this though. Is it time to call maintenance like I suspect? The company I’m with I know is good about that generally since I’ve rented from them before, but anything I can do to make sure they follow through? Or am I overthinking this?

Need help identifying this tiny little guy

Found a couple of these little guys in my room of a second floor apartment recently (today and a couple days ago). I’m assuming he’s flying through my window because I’ve had them constantly open recently as it gets warmer- I live in lower Michigan for context.

Anybody know what it is? Mostly curious, not super worried but let me know if I should be.
