Has hosiery made a comeback in the past few years?

When I was a kid in the 90s and 00s, I remember women stopped wearing pantyhose and it was seen as freeing because of the decades of it being a requirement in certain jobs or social functions

But now I feel like I see women wearing tights and pantyhose often. So many celebrities wear them, younger generation wearing them, and I see a bunch of brands blowing up like Snag, Les Belle, etc.

I also follow the fashion subreddits here and many outfits include them. Certain events I go to it feels like it's a requirement again as so many women and girls wear them.

Is the taboo gone or has enough time passed that people don't remember when it used to be a requirement?

Why is it more acceptable for a woman to reject their gender roles than it is for men?

My girlfriend is a strong believer in women giving up their gender roles, and she acts accordingly. She doesn't shave her legs, cuts her hair short, doesn't wear dresses, doesn't diffuse situations, doesn't step aside for men etc.

I am a huge supporter of this and it's partly why I love her.

However, when I try to let go of my male gender roles, she says that I'm just complaining and that it's not the same thing for a man to reject gender roles. For example, I don't think I should be paying for everything, or making all the sacrifices, or pumping her gas, etc. But she always has reasons for why those gender roles have to stay (usually something like it's safer for a man to do certain things)

I've gotten this vibe from other women I've met too. That a woman letting go of gender roles is good because it's letting go of their oppression, but a man letting go of gender roles is bad because ours aren't put on us by someone with more power, and that a man complaining about gender roles comes across as whiny

Some of the guys I hang out with were talking about how they rarely if ever watch porn anymore because they found out they can just make erotic stories using AI. I said why not just read all of the erotic writings out there like on Literotica, and they said because with AI you can customize it to your liking.

At first I was disgusted, but then I'm thinking well maybe it's better than taking part in an exploitative industry?

A guy in my pod will always change his deck depending on what I'm playing so that his deck counters mine. For example, if I play group hug, he'll play a deck that pings everyone when he draws cards. If I play Mothman Mill, he'll switch to a graveyard deck. If I play artifacts, he'll switch to an artifact removal deck (Kibo).

If I say, if you're gonna play that deck I don't want to play this one and switch it up, he'll just switch to what he was gonna play initially.

I know the usual "find a new pod," advice is coming, and I do see it from his perspective, when I play those decks, I tend to do good and usually win, so he probably feels like he has to do that to stand a chance. But man.

It's hard to talk about this without seeming like I'm gatekeeping, but Ive realized that I've never met another Little Monster outside of online communities or her concerts. I've met a lot of people that like her and respect her as an artist, but never someone who knows a lot about her music or latest hits like we do in this sub.

I get a lot of "oh my god you saw lady gaga!?" but they didn't know her latest tour or album
