Our Unbaptism - 6/6/26

My fiancé and I performed an unbaptism for each other at sunset on 6/6/26, and it was perfect for us! The only downside was that our legs got tingly from kneeling so long lol.

We acknowledged the insignificance of our baptisms, symbolically ate from the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, blacked out Bible passages we strongly disagreed with, agreed to The Seven Tenets of The Satanic Temple, and riddled the Bible with inverted pentacles and the word “LIES”.

Our background music consisted of the theme from Halo, “Firelink Shrine” from Dark Souls, “Time” from Inception, and a few classic classical pieces.

We had a blast, and I just wanted to share it with my favorite subreddit community! ❤️‍🔥

Note: We recognize the book “Compassionate Satanism” is not meant to be a Satanic Bible by any means. It was just my in-depth introduction to Satanism, plus it looked nice on our altar kind of parallel to the Bible—another nice little “Fuck You” to the church.

(15k) Officiant Packages? $375 v. $825

We were going to have his dad marry us, so we have a script typed up, but he just recently insisted that he mention Jesus within our ceremony. Not at all what we want.

Now we’re actually hiring an officiant, but we can’t decide on which package to go with. For the price of Package One ($375), our officiant would gladly read out the script we’ve written and really like. Package Two jumps up drastically in price ($825), and would allow our officiant the opportunity to expand on what we have written.

We are currently leaning towards Package One, partly because we really like what we wrote, and partly because it would save us a lot of money. At the same time, part of me wants to have the officiant expand and extend the ceremony a bit, giving it the time and attention it deserves.

Should we go for Package One since we pretty much already have what we want in the script and it’s cheaper? Or should we do Package Two and allow the officiant to do what they do best?

Thank you in advance for your input!

Ramp Brightness Gone?

I used to be able to gradually increase the brightness of my Govee lights with a routine in the Alexa app. I used it to slowly wake me up in the morning.

Wasn’t there a “Ramp Brightness” option under “Power”? It’s no longer there. It’s not under “Brightness” either.

Do you know how I can set this up now within the Alexa app? I can’t seem to figure out how to do it in the Govee app either.

Halloween Restaurants! 🎃👻

What are your recommendations for restaurants that go all out for Halloween? I’m looking for a place to host a Halloween gathering with my friends. I’d love to find a restaurant that takes reservations or offers private events. I also wouldn’t mind suburban suggestions, as we do not live in the cities and parking there can be troublesome. Thank you in advance!

Missing Caribou’s French Roast! 😭

It was my all-time favorite coffee blend. I’m guessing there just wasn’t enough demand for it when Caribou downsized their products. Hard to imagine. For me, it was their best coffee, with Cross Fox as a close second. It is weird, though, to see a lot of the major coffee brands carrying their own French Roast when Caribou got rid of theirs. Any insight as to why they did that, or if they will ever bring it back? And why did they downsize after their rebranding? I feel they could have saved money if they downsized and rebranded simultaneously. Which discontinued Caribou coffee are you missing?

What are some alternative ways I can include my father into the wedding since I am choosing to walk down the aisle alone and not doing parent/child dances?

This is my second wedding, and since I am a grown woman this time around, I am choosing to walk myself down the aisle. I just learned today that my father is feeling a little left out not being able to walk with me. We’re also not planning to do parent/child dances. But I would like my father to make a speech. What are some other ways I could include him into the wedding? Thank you in advance! 🩷
