This beautiful Cellini just landed yesterday. It’s not something that has ever been on my list or radar, until I saw James post about it a few weeks back.

I travel for work 2-3x per month internationally and it typically involves a lot of dinners and events. The sports watches just weren’t cutting it. Took a chance on this and was surprised at the quality when it arrived. Gorgeous piece. (Someone needs to teach me how to take proper watch photos)

I recently found this Omega Pocketwatch that belonged to my wife’s grandfather as we were cleaning out their home. I don’t know much about it, but my son is 7 months old and I think it would be really cool to give him his great grandfathers watch one day.

My main question is: who do you take this sort of thing to in order to have it worked on? Are there specialists for the period, type of watch, etc? Or could any watchmaker service it?

Apologies if these are dumb questions, I am very new to watches in general.

6. ⁠Index alignment: Index looks good overall but the 12 marker looks to be sitting too high - is it the angle or just me?

7. ⁠Dial Printing: love the dial here, looks super crisp

8. ⁠Date Wheel alignment/printing: date wheel looks great, but the cyclops looks off center or a bit tiled/angled? But I can’t tell if it’s the angle of the photo

9. ⁠Hand Alignment: looks good to me

10. ⁠Bezel: this is probably my favorite bezel I’ve seen in the 3 QCs I’ve done so far. If there are flaws, I’m not seeing them

11. ⁠Solid End Links (SELs): these look solid to me

12. ⁠Timegrapher numbers: -3s/d, AMP 306, 0.2. I don’t know much here as I’m new to watches, but research tells me this is all within tolerance and pretty well performing.

13. ⁠Anything else you notice: I’m generally concerned about how high the 12 hour marker is and the cyclops seems off centered and angled. Otherwise it looks like a beautiful watch
