Is Tony getting released at Odeon at all? I can book for my local showcase but no signs for Odeon near me

Hi, bought a 1.6 tdi this year and took it in to get checked due to odd noise from the engine. When I bought it the advert specified it had a timing chain/ belt done at 100k miles which helped my decision of buying this as I know that’s a big job to have done. Turns out the garage that signed off they did the work in the log book can’t find any record of it and the dealer is being avoidant in helping me out. I’ve found the original autotrader post that specifies the belt has been done.

What action would you take at this point if the belt does need doing? Should I look at solicitors/ small claims etc or just take it on the chin and sort it myself?
