Does anyone have a copy of the passion of Joan of arc on VHS? I cannot tell if the one I bought is a bootleg or bad transfer, given its history

The tape itself only has a label on the non flap side that has the name, and the flap itself being tan makes me worried it’s some recorded tape. Given the rarity of this film and its physical releases, information out in the wild is incredibly scarce. I got it for a great price, but I want a real copy of this film in my collection as I think it’s truly an excellent one.

Any advice on how to find and get authentic physical releases without getting fleeced on eBay?

I am not the biggest anime fan, but there are some anime I desperately want. I am also a massive physical media collector, who mostly collects retro games, vhs tapes and DVDs. Some of my goals in life are to spend as little of my time in a streaming service menu, and to never pay for an anime streaming service. But I also don’t want to get fleeced by the Malaysian eBay scam rings. The main ones I’m most concerned with, and am struggling to find, are region 1 dubbed releases of Darker than Black and Fate Zero. I recently got this gorgeous box set imported from Japan and it’s amazing, but the seller said it had English, and did not specify in any of the places I initially checked that it only had English subtitles, and it’s too pretty a set to send back when the English compatible version is 3x+ based off of eBay and if it’s real.

So how do seasoned collectors do it? Find their non 480p shaky cam ones? I like the sub, don’t get me wrong, but I just want things with the dub primarily for easy sharing with others or background noise (do people still argue over sub/dub?) though ideally it’d have both.

And if anyone’s interested, the only series I’m really interested in owning are Fate/Zero, Darker than Black, Parasyte a Maxime, full metal alchemist (and brotherhood), hellsing (and ultimate), soul eater, and the Normy pick of cowboy bebop. Maybe throw in blue exorcist, psycho pass or the first season of Tokyo ghoul if that fancy strikes. You can tell when I started/stopped watching anime as a practice

Dunno if this is allowed, but looking to buy the PC game adaptation of Bone: out of Boneville

I recently discovered that this comic series had a PC game that coincided with the comic, which so happens to only have been on PC. It was also the first telltale game (company that made the walking dead, wolf among us, etc). I have a friend who is absolutely obsessed with Bone, who also doesn’t know about the game, so I’m hoping to buy him a copy of the game on CD-rom, as well as putting a second hand steam key inside of it since those are pretty cheap, and sending it to him. The only issue is the game is impossible to find online

Bone: out from Boneville the video game

I am looking for a physical copy of Boneville out from Boneville CR-Rom as a gift for one of my friends. I know that steam keys are quite easily available, but I have a friend who’s super into the comics and I think it’d make a great gift for him.

Rare and sealed Friday the 13th “physical” steam release

All I know is that inside of this case is a single pamphlet, not even a disc. From my understanding that pamphlet is a steam key which is worth 180 on its own. This “physical” release was a part of a collectors edition based on the research I could find, and I had seen a listing from 6 years ago sell for 100, but that was before the game was delisted from steam, making the keys worth money
