How do y'all visualise him??

Royal Assassin by Robin Hobb and Last Argument of Kings by Joe Abercrombie keep switching positions in my list based on my mood. Today, it's Royal Assassin on the best spot. Tomorrow it might be LAoK.

First Law is probably my fav book series rn and I'm excited to continue it. It would've been Realm of the Elderlings but the third book was so bad imo, i barely care about any character anymore ngl...

This book was awesome! It's one of the most thrilling book I've ever read. It had a great (and a quite depressing) ending.

I'm loving the series and the audiobook narration is the best I've ever listened to.

I think this book was far better than the first two and even they were both 5/5 for me!

Loved the characters' journey. It wasn't what we normally expect from most fantasy books. It was far different. Completely opposite even.

Now, let's talk about the series' greatest strength; it's characters.

The characters I found the most interesting in this particular book are:

1. Sand Dan Glokta (a character I hated to love ngl. Couldn't believe I was rooting for him! >!Him proposing to Ardee for marriage was the funniest thing I've read!<)

2. Bayaz ( I know most people hate him and>!he deserves the hatred.!< But is he, by any means, an uninteresting character? HECK NO! Loved every time he showed up in the book. He was the one who made the books thrilling for me!)

3. Ferro Maljinn ( Love this mad woman's chapters, even though there weren't that many in this book. Looking forward to see what happens to her and if she does get what she wanted or gets over it)

4. Jezal Dan Luthar ( Imo, he'd the most character development in this book and it was very believable to read, not some "falling asleep as a piece of garbage human and waking up as an angel" type of character development at all. It felt believable and real. He felt the most realistic character in the books, even though Logen owns the quote about being realistic)

I know it might upset some people here, but I didn't find Logen that much of an interesting character compared to the ones listed above. I liked >!him being a major reason in Jezal's development but that is all.!<

His fighting scenes were good tho...

I still have the one criticism with the book that I'd with the previous book too.

- The female characters! Abercrombie's female characters were terrible imp, atleast for now.

But some of you had said they improve as the series goes on and I find that to be reassuring.

This is how I'd rank the trilogy (tho it felt like a very long book divided into three books):

1. Last Argument of Kings (the best of the bunch)

2. The Blade Itself (great introduction to the series. I don't need a book to have a plot to like it ig)

3. Before They Are Hanged (loved it as well and itd the most character development. However, I felt the ending here was quite disappointing, but the third book covered it so I've no complaints ig)

Sooooooo that's it! This was all I've wanted to say. Well, wait, how are the books that follow, btw? Best Served Cold is the book next, that I know. How are they??

This book was awesome! This was my first time listening to a Graphic Audio and I absolutely adored it. I started it a few hours ago and just got done listening to it and loved every second of it. Loved the main character and I want to know more about her.

As a Brandon Sanderson reader, you'd expect the book to have a plot twist in the end, but I thought this book had an ending much better while not being "SHOCKING" in any way. It was a simple ending,yet very powerful.

I liked this parallel between >!Gaotona throwing the book into the fire and Shae burning the painting earlier!<

I definitely think this book had a better writing quality than the og Mistborn trilogy, the only Sanderson series I've read. There was nothing Id change in this book and it is one of the best book I've ever read now.

Well, now let's talk about the audio performance. I loved it! The voice actress for Shae had such a soothing voice and I could listen to her voice all the time, ngl.

If you've not read it yet, Id highly recommend the Graphic Audio. Its only 3.5 hours long so you'd be able to finish it in a day.

Hoof! Just finished the audiobook narration of this book, and holy moly! I'm in love with the series! The narration by Pacey is great, and the book itself was AWESOME! I think this book is better than the first book, which I've given a 5/5 too.

I'm loving the characters' journey so much and I'm gonna start Last Argument of Kings in a day or two.

Now, let's talk about the characters, the series' main strength!

The characters I found the most interesting in this book are:

1. Sand Dan Glokta (obvious choice, ik)

2. Jezal Dan Luthar (I'm loving his character development in this book)

3. Say one thing for Logen Ninefingers, say he's a lover (my favourite line in the book.) I didn't like Logen that much in the first book cuz he barely spoke in that one, but I'm loving >!his conversations with Luthar, the way he's like an older brother to him!<

4. Collem West (I find his arc in this book to be the most interesting ngl. Looking forward to what happens to him in the third book)

5. Bayaz ( I know a lot of people hate him but I do not! I love how mysterious this character is. I know he's an angry man but I still like him)

And well, after all this love I've shown for the book, there's one criticism I've also.

I think the female characters in this book were terribly written! They're there either to made fun of by the male characters, or to be saved by them. I don't like that. I know it's a male-dominated trilogy, but still give me atleast a few well written female characters too. I'm not asking for them to be a giant warrior like Tul Duru. Nope. I just want them to have a personality of their own and not to be overshadowed by the male characters.

But I've heard Abercrombie does work on that in the later books and I hope he does. But still, despite my criticism, I still loved this thing and I'm excited to read the third book now. This particular book is the second best book I read this year ngl. That's all I've wanted to say. Have a good day!!

Sooooo, man, at first I was legit thinking of dnfing this book cuz I wasn't enjoying any of the pov characters, but then I switched to the audiobook halfway through the book, and holy shit! I absolutely LOVED the audiobook!

I just finished the book a couple of hours ago and I'm already 4 hours into the second book!

I know a lot of you love Logen but for now, I've not been able to enjoy his pov as much as I do for the other characters
