Hey guys. I initially got into warhammer from space marine 2 and I would like to learn all about the lore. So is there like a certain way I should study the lore? Or is there like a digital library of resources for lore or Idfk. I’m pretty lost ngl 😭
I’m 17 and pretty lost in life. Got myself kicked out of 3 different schools (not on purpose but I am an idiot). Sometimes I ask myself if this is all truly worth it. Life I mean. I find it interesting how most people see themselves superior and inferior to others based on their accomplishments or goals. Why do people measure their own and others values based on their accomplishments or how they carry themselves. For example, a class clown (typically) would be seen as inferior to the average kid because the class clown carries himself like an idiot. Why because you are a woman, or because you are fat, or because of your view on p olitics does your value diminish or increase. Because at least to me, at the end of the day all our hearts stop beating, we all become equals no matter what path you took in life. In 120 years, when everybody who reads this is long gone. No one will be triumphant to anyone, we will all either cease to exist or start a new life or go to a place like heaven (depending on what you believe the truth to be). I find it interesting that these things play such a dominant role in life. These ideological inventions which place humans on different levels of a hierarchy never existed during the caveman era. I don’t think a caveman is looking at another caveman and thinking wow that caveman just killed a sabertooth tiger while I’m struggling to kill a squirrel. No. He’s thinking about where his next meal is coming from. Idk I just wonder sometimes if school, and work, and friends, and everything is actually worth something. I guess this will be viewed as a very negative outlook on life but I’m just saying what I am thinking lmao.

Hi everyone! I’m thinking about getting into warhammer 40k. I’ve played the space marine 2 campaign about two or 3 times now and had a blast playing it. When I realized there was so much lore in this franchise I got really interested because I love learning about lore in games and franchises. I only have a couple of issues.
I don’t know where to start. Should I start by buying a couple of models? Or a starter kit? Or should I watch some YouTube videos on the lore?
I don’t know what exactly I want to get into when it comes to warhammer. Idk if I want to do diorama building and design sick ass battles or if I wanna play the table top game. Only problem with the table top game is I don’t have many friends to begin with and none of them would ever be interested in warhammer :(
i SUCK at art. And know nothing about painting. So I am very worried about buying models and then messing up and ruining them. I also see all the different types of paint and get confused like what’s the different between normal and contrast and all of that. And do I need to buy primer? Like I barely even know what primer is bro 😭
Where do I go to meet people who are interested in warhammer. I wanna meet people who like it and can teach me the ropes of it.
Warhammer seems like such a cool franchise but it’s really intimidating with the amount of content in it, from the table top game to the lore to the painting

So I would really appreciate any tips or links to starter sets or tips for painting or getting into it. Also why the hell are the models so expensive?? Like idk if I wanna drain my pockets in the name of the emperor bro😭
