Looking for mid-tier laptop within RM3-4k budget

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my father to a better laptop. He's learning to do some editing work using photoshop and Premiere Pro (nothing too advanced) and his current laptop is getting pretty outdated. Other than that, he doesn't game, just usual YouTube and web browsing and the daily Microsoft Office suite.

Some key specs that I would prefer to have:

  1. 16 or 32GB RAM

  2. Graphics card - Ideally something in the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 unless you think this is overkill.

  3. 1TB storage

Would you happen to have a ready built laptop model to recommend in the market? I'm not a laptop user, so I'm pretty vague about the market today. Or if building a laptop is recommended, appreciate if you can advice any credible shops that I can consult with within PJ/KL. Much thanks!

Toyota Vios 2021 Gearbox Issues

My Toyota Vios (2021 model) started making an abnormal sound from the front right tyre like it's scraping against something with minor vibrations. The sound was obvious when I'm driving more than 50km/h. Toyota SC advised that it was a wheel bearing issue, so went to a 3rd party workshop and got it replaced but literally made no difference.

Went to Lim Tayar for 2nd opinion and they said it's a gearbox issue and suggested to opt for recon GB which costed RM4,800 incl. labour. So parked my car there for them to get a deeper inspection before confirming the job but as of yesterday, they told me they already fixed it so I've got no choice but to pay them.

Wondering if this has happened to any other Vios owners or am I just unlucky? As I understand GB is not something that is common to fail especially when the car is only 5 years old with less than 80k mileage.

Coincidentally, my 5 year warranty just ended in February 2026 as well.

Hi, I'm looking for a credit card to park my renovation cost for a 12 month 0% installment plan. Understand that the bank eligiblity varies according to merchants but would like to know if you have any recommendations to leverage on a card's benefits.

Am open to either travel or cashback perks.

In terms of credit card eligibility, I can do up to RM8.5k min. income. Much thanks!
