Booking SLC → LAX in Delta First for myself so I shop it around before pulling the trigger, since I always tell people not to just book straight through the airline.

Delta's portal wants 27,000 points for the flight. I ran it through KLM and it came out to 20,000 points, and with the current transfer bonus of 20% from Citi it knocked it down to 17,000 points.

Same flight, same cabin, just a different program pricing Delta's own metal. Anyone else been finding good Flying Blue pricing on Delta redemptions lately?

Earlier this week, I shared my award flight deal that included sending points in my Amex stockpile to British Airways during the 30% transfer bonus. I didn’t stop there, next transferring across the Avios program to Qatar Airways to book Phoenix to Boston for Thanksgiving. This saved me 8k Amex points on the round trip!

Avios.com introduced a calendar search tool to find these award flights efficiently.

Its brand new so those currently supported are British Airways, Iberia, and Aer Lingus, not AA, Finnair, or Qatar.

Only direct flights are searchable so far.

I’ve heard they are trying to improve it as fast as possible.

Overall, I’m seeing this as a huge win to find great deals across their programs and it’s very user-friendly.

I used the 30% transfer bonus Amex is running to Avios programs including British Airways, Iberia, and Aer Lingus. Trying to get rid of my 400k Amex points stockpile.

1000 MR points = 1300 Avios until September 27th. You can essentially access 5 different airline programs, and it made this one of the better award flights of the year.

I'm taking a flight for Thanksgiving from Phoenix to Boston on American Airlines (booked via Qatar Airways). Only needed 13000 Amex points at 30% transfer bonus to get 16000 Avios (2 CPP on a $264 flight). I found the same award price for the return leg on Dec 1 so I transferred 13000 for that as well.

Thinking about booking a flight to Europe for my New Year's ski trip in the French Alps, only 91000 Avios for Business Class. Still worth seeing if it's booked for less by transferring Avios across programs to Qatar Airways, Iberia, etc.

Create British Airways and Qatar Airways accounts then link to transfer freely between programs. My redemption: Amex points -> British Airways -> Qatar Airways

Merchants being reported include Home Depot, Sam's Club, CVS, Chewy, Dollar General, Lowe's, Macy's, PetSmart, Ulta, eBay, and Staples. Lyft is showing 50x on my account. Some accounts are getting 1,500 on $30 or 2,000 on $40 instead of the base 1,000 on $20.

Don't click through until you're ready to buy, activating one can make the others disappear. Targeted and YMMV, showed on both my cards. What's everyone else seeing?
