Insomnia 2 weeks in at 40

I have really liked this medicine but can’t sleep like zero hours for several nights. I have had some 2-3 hour nights of if I take something and sometimes that doesn’t work. I understand my insomnia is fear based as when I have something coming up I can’t sleep generally or if I didn’t sleep one night the fear sets in it will happen again. Ugh. I like this medicine but I am not sure how to proceed. 🫪

Straterra early effects- my husband is noticing I am more affectionate….

I am early on with strattera. 9 days in, and I am noticing I am feeling things more deeply. My mind has quieted down but when I hear things I am more moved. Not with anxiety, but just this inner emotion. Not as matter of fact as I can be at times. I have hsp, but this is different, it’s more connected to what is happening and the emotion. Again, this is early on…. So this may shift… I told my husband this am and he said he has noticed I am more affectionate towards him and connected. I guess before I was just bouncing from one thing to another or intensely so focused on my interest… I can not really think of others at times. I do, but it’s too much, overwhelming. It’s a push pull.. 🤔
I am just processing and wondering if anyone felt this way on strattera?

Started 40mg for audhd.

I know it takes awhile to work, but already I feel calmer. 6th day and I was able to go into a group of people talking and didn’t feel so anxious. I wasn’t monitoring myself. My thinking has slowed quite a bit to help me be more present. First few days were rough with insomnia, but last 2 days better.

Sleep struggles, especially before an early morning event.

Who struggles with sleep, especially if you have to set an alarm or have something to do early in am.

Married to Asperger husband-

I am an HSP, highly sensitive person with a lot of emotional depth. I am introverted as well, but enjoy small groups.
My husband and I stopped drinking a year ago as we were both doing work on nervous systems and not masking anymore. It has changed our marriage for the better. I felt I was living with two different people. On weekends he would binge drink and it was go go go to find people to socialize, he hated small talk, but was actively looking to belong. He had figured out drinking helped him make friends in early 20s.
I also started drinking and that how I coped with large groups. But I tried and chased him for so long to keep up. He had this personality out there and then when we got home he became work focused, tv focused, and withdrawn.
That was the past. Now it’s much more stable and we are much more communicative after doing some work.
There are still things that I get baffled with and I think it’s the Asperger’s.
We were at the beach and took beach chairs to water. He put his behind mine and I was like why are you by me, I don’t want to turn my head to speak to you. He didn’t want to get wet(we were both not in water) i had a fractured knee so more of a pain to move… he said, I can sit here and you sit there. He just assumed I was in water like earlier, I wasn’t.
I can’t understand that? Sitting behind me at an angle where it’s hard to communicate. (It happened later as well up under or tent, a pole was between us and I was like can you move the chair here, he said you can move. He had complained and said he couldn’t hear me, so being closer with noise made it easier to talk. The therapist said when I make a bid for connection, he needs to come close or do it in a way that he can do as well. He doesn’t pick up on my bids for connection.
We talked about it, and he is like I get it now that you wanted me to be close but I was fine with how it was in the moment.
Other things would be me hugging up on him in am, he just gets up pees and starts his day. No communication, I made the effort and he just goes on.
Initiating sex is very hard and skewed for him.
He is a great person, he does mean well.
Just very him focused. He loves task and is quite good at them, but the affection peace is hard, the connectiveness is hard. He used to say I like parallel play.
I e now joke about that….
We are in marriage counseling and I think that is needed to continue to evolve and get each other’s needs met.
He is very content and happy with things, I am not unhappy, I just long for the connection with him and the desire for him to want to connect with me more.
As I write this, yes at one time I was more needy, codependent. But we had some separation time and that’s was very good for me. I don’t need him to be all over me all the time, I just want the desire to not have to be told to connect with me.
I have a lot of empathy and I want to understand him more and I am trying to be more direct as well as I know he doesn’t pick up on things. From men on spectrum, late diagnosed, is affection hard toward your wife. I don’t know if it’s the Asperger’s or how he was brought up by a neglectful mom. Thanks!

I am deciding between a trek top fuel 8 gen 4 new bike or 2023 used fuel EX 9.8 xt. Will be riding greens and blues and enjoy trail biking. As a newbie, I enjoy roots and obstacles, I get most skittish on the long downhills with obstacles, I want traction. I love uphill climbs so far. It’s where I am confident. I do not ride fast, maybe one day, I just enjoy the paced ride. I don’t foresee myself going down steep long descents or jumping more than a foot or so as I gain experience. I want a bike that can get around and keep me confident as I learn. I have heard on new top fuels you can adjust travel as well and they are getting closer to an all around trail bike? As they used to be XC bike only and lighter weight. If I need more traction on top fuel I could upgrade tires and keep a light fun bike? I am a bit nervous on buying a used carbon bike with no warranty? It’s coming in at same price with discount I can get on the 8?
I ride in nc, ga, tn… thanks!
