Event invite, Jackson Heights in a Cup

Hi! Reposting this without the video, we’re in the process of editing it. Apologies if you saw this post twice!!

Jackson Heights in a Cup - July 12 - we’re bringing back last year’s viral community cafe day / party

South Asia × Latin America Fusion Party celebrating the way immigrant communities influence one another, collaborate, and create something entirely new. Few places embody that spirit better than Jackson Heights, where generations of South Asian and Latin American families have helped build one of New York City’s most vibrant neighborhoods.

What to expect:
✨ Tamil Nadu cold brew topped with Peruvian lúcuma cold foam
✨ A Latin American take on India’s beloved coffee drink, Filter Kaapi
✨ Traditional and fusion foods, drinks, and desserts from both regions
Last year’s favorites included Tres Leches Ras Malai cupcakes, Mango Agua Frescas, Kaapi Horchatas, and Desi Pastelitos. Stay tuned for this year’s vendor lineup! We’re looking to finalize vendors this week.
✨ Music, games (we’re thinking both Loteria & Ludo), giveaways (dancing encouraged of course!)

📍 The World’s Borough Bookshop, Jackson Heights
🗓 July 12 | 12–4 PM

What would u do / tldr trying to ask friend group of 4 to go to one vegan spot during trip

Not sure what I should reply (31F) and what to think but definitely feeling hurt by one friend’s response (30M) and waiting to see if my other friend will respond at all (29F & will be her bday though the trip is 7-10 days, she didn’t come to my bday, 2 day trip to Paris). though happy to see one of my friend’s easy responses (30F). I usually trail off when we are together and we still haven’t as a group gone to one vegan restaurant except once during our Miami trip for my 25th bday.

Even my 30th bday trip involved a complaint from the same friend who’s upset now and we had no vegan meal altogether. I’m feeling like if I’m gonna spend $1K+ and time just one month after another trip (honestly was hesitant to go on the trip and regret saying yes though nothing is booked, only one planning call last week which they planned for best available mutual time and that meant I could only come for last 15 mins and I completely forgot to bring up that I want one group meal to be at a vegan joint).
