Baby bird, someone please help it
Corner of 85st and 34th Ave behind the gate across from the mail box, under the plant. On the southeast corner. I can't stay.

Couple of Queens "kids" currently looking to possibly move into Roosevelt Terrace btw 85th and 86th Street. The buildings are really nice just wondering if anyone else lives or lived there and what to expect or any concerns/complaint you might have. I grew up in Woodside so I am very familiar with Roosevelt and its adult activities. We currently live in Jackson Heights just looking for something bigger.
Here’s a wild idea! I’d fully support food truck vendors if there were actual standards in place.
• No overflowing trash bins
• No dumping cooking oil into the street
• Parked orderly without blocking traffic or crosswalks
Honestly, this feels completely solvable if the right city agencies, or even a private partnership/business improvement group, coordinated it properly.
Respect the neighborhood and the neighborhood will support you. I would. Would you?
Hello! I am moving to 74th street. I am searching a gym that has dumbbells that goes up to 100lbs, cables, and barbells. Any recommendation?

Has bags and everything, so not sure why he then proceeded to call me a faggot after asking him to pick up his dog’s poop. On 81st street.
New countertop and sink will be installed in the kitchen.
Two blocks from the Roosevelt Avenue subway stop (7, E, F, M and R trains).
41st Ave and 73rd street. Woodside, Queens.
You’ll need solid credit and an income around 40 times the rent, roughly $92K, to qualify.
What’s up with the amount of unhinged feral people on 82nd street between Roosevelt and the section of Elmhurst near the hospital? Is there an insane asylum, halfway house, minimum security facility in the area? There’s loitering drunks, violent creepazoids, insistent beggars, stabby muggers, Asiatic rent-a-gals, social security number vendors, tamale pushers, pot-smokers, football enthusiasts, and other assorted unsavory unwashed types perambulating at all times along this corridor. It’s like a village for imbeciles. I usually have a translucent bubble umbrella around me to keep the filth away from my Gucci and Pucci, but is there any other area in NYC that has this many deranged people concentrated in such a small area. Jesus, I pray that you send me the money for an apartment in Sunnyside!
Trying Qahwah for the first time this morning, currently waiting 20 minutes for an Americano, and there's only 1 employee. Typical experience, or an anomaly?
Knew it! Apparently ONLY the MTA can fix the chaos around the Roosevelt Ave / 74th St station.
Blocked crosswalks, congestion, overflowing trash, dirty streets and sidewalks, inadequate daylighting, accessibility problems for seniors and disabled, overcrowding. Forget about Shekar coordinating efforts with DOT, NYPD, DSNY, SBS, or elected officials to make changes to the corridor. According to District 25, it’s all somehow the MTA’s responsibility now.
Read the email for yourself. Unreal!
ALL IS ASKED OF HIM IS TO REACH OUT TO THE AGENCIES THAT ARE ALREADY AT HAND!
Shekar seems more like Jackson Heights’ gardener than its advocate 🌳!
I got 2 free tickets tonight and I got them last minute so everyone was busy. If you’d like to come please dm asap. They’re really good seats and I don’t want one of them to go to waste.
Are they still hanging out on that corner? I am looking to get my apartment cleaned and a friend highly recommended asking them. Let me know if and where they are these days. Thank you !
👋🏼** Hey, how’s it going**?
I’m a laid-back, grounded gay guy originally from North Carolina, but NYC has been home since 2001. I’ve spent time in other cities, but I always find my way back here—nothing really compares.
A little about me:
I’m pretty chill and value a calm, positive home environment. I’m a singer-songwriter and involved in a progressive, community-focused gospel choir. I’m into holistic living, good energy, and just keeping things peaceful and drama-free. Home, to me, should feel like a reset.
What it’s like living with me:
I’m clean, respectful, and easy to live with. I tend to keep to myself during the week and don’t bring the party home. No smoking, no chaos—just a relaxed, respectful vibe. My landlord actually calls me the “father of the building” because I’m reliable and take care of things, so you’ll never have to worry about someone dropping the ball around the house.
I also have a good sense of humor and get along well with all kinds of people. I’m social when it feels right, but I definitely value my personal space too.
Logistics:
I work in patient care across the city and also help facilitate support groups at the LGBTQ Center
Looking to stay close to a subway that makes commuting easy (Downtown Manhattan access is key)
Budget is around $1,250-with wiggle room!
Open to a Studio,
1BR, or
a large room in a clean shared space.
I’ve been in my current place for 7 years with a solid rental history and great references
I’m looking for a place that feels calm, safe, and respectful—somewhere I can recharge but also be part of a good household dynamic.
If that sounds like a fit, would love to connect.

I live half way down the block on 74th past Zayan Halal BBQ on the corner of 37th Avenue. My bedroom smells like a BBQ competition every night starting at 6:30! And with the warmer months approaching, I’m worried that an uptick in foot traffic at the mobile street vendor is going to exacerbate the situation. If they moved a couple of feet over to 37th Avenue where there are practically NO RESIDENCES, it would probably negate the situation entirely. Anyone else being affected by the smoke?
What are your thoughts on Shekar Krishnan? Is there anyone more proactive to get in touch with to actually get things done?
Every time I reach out to his office, I get the same response: “We’ll look into it and get back to you with an update.” So far, there have been no meaningful “updates” either via email or on the ground.
